I had a nice shopping experience and the customer service was cool. I would not recommend people to have their passport photos taken here though (or at any Walgreens). My family and I had our passport photos taken at Walgreens and all of them were rejected. They were the correct size, but the actual photo itself did not meet the guidelines and we had to pay and retake them at the post office. Now, Walgreens does have a policy that you can get a refund or have the pictures retaken if they're not accepted, but that's too risky when it comes to a passport. This is literally the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I try really hard to understand that people are under staffed and busy but I'm done at this point. They never have my medication ready, I need to call them every month for my scripts because one of them is not covered by insurance and they kick it out EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. I've currently been on hold for 20 min to speak to someone as my husband waits in the parking lot after being told once again that this script is not ready despite speaking with someone four days ago who said it would be ready in 90 minutes. I have never had such a poor experience. I feel I've done my due diligence. Run. Run as fast as you can and if your meds are life sustaining you will likely die waiting for them. I called well in advance to fill my prescription at the pharmacy. I arrived promptly at 7:00 AM which is their posted opening time. The pharm tech was just dragging in and turning the lights on at 7:01 AM, I was told to wait a minute. After several minutes I was asked to identify myself, and then I was told nothing was ready. "How is this possible?" I began to wonder. I was then questioned at least three times as of it were somehow my fault they didn't have my medicine ready. My recommendation to Walgreens is that you just brick up the pharmacy, fire your entire staff, and operate a vending machine for peanuts and cola because that's all you'll find here in any kind of working order. Pharmacy is always at least a 20 minute wait. They only have one person working the inside counter and the drive through window. Honestly, I can't be mad at the employees there though, they are always friendly that's why I'm giving 3 stars instead of one. However, the only thing that I can say that needs to change is their sense of urgency to get all customers taken care of. They NEED to hire more employees or at least schedule one person for the pharmacy window and one for the inside desk. I just switched from the Walgreens in wake forest to this location because I moved and the one in wake forest is always efficient and the wait is never long. If I could give negative stars, I would. Just as I suspected, TRASH. I have constant problems with this location. One of my prescriptions they are ALWAYS out of stock. The final straw this time is two of my prescriptions were pending for a long time. I called and asked why, the pharmacist said "you don't have insurance." The hell I do! I got on the phone with my insurance company who verified I did indeed have insurance, and one was pending a review by my doctor, and the other just needed someone to go over a potential issue that might come up with my other medication. I need a way to leave less than one star, honestly. Where do I begin. As a general note: the wait times in this place are insane considering the amount of people they have meandering around like they have nothing else to do. They also are notorious for just not answering their phones...again, all the people wandering around you would think someone would, but they can't be asked. For a specific example, here is my experience the last 2 days. I called in my medication on 11/4 using the automated system, since I had no confidence anyone would actually pick up the phone. I had them refill 4 prescriptions, several of which I was completely out of (yes, I know, my fault for letting it get to that point). The automated message informed me that my prescriptions would be ready to be picked up at 8:00 AM the next day. I had to work, so I went to get it at 5:00 PM. When I got there, nothing had been filled. It seems that when you do things through the automated line, it just doesn't always seem to work..well, if it doesn't work, fix it or get rid of it..simple enough solution right? Maybe not for this pharmacy..Anyway, I was told it would be ready by the following day and to come around lunch time. Of note: the lady that worked this evening on 11/5 was at least very nice. I figured I would give them until the ladder end of lunch time, so I drove up to the drive thru window, only one in line (shocking, I know). The time was 1:25. I was aware that this pharmacy has a break between 1:30 and 2:00 that they go on break, but considering I just needed medication to be picked up, I figured I could easily have that done in 5 minutes. Well, I could have, if they had made any attempt to assist me. I watched as people wandered around through the window from 1:25 to 1:30...looked like they even looked in my direction a couple times but just decided to not engage. Then, almost like they had an alarm go off, 1:30 ticked and a lady with blue streaks in her hair picks up the intercom and states "we close at 1:30 for lunch." I stated, "I know, I've been here since 1:25 and you saw me sitting here" to which she replied "ummm...I'm sorry" and just put the receiver down and walked away with no other words. Needless to say, I was angry..so I parked my truck and went into the store to talk to a manager. I informed her of my situation and even halfway through the story, she closed her eyes and shook her head..judging by other reviews on this place I'm guessing this isn't the first time she's heard it. She informed me she didn't have keys to the pharmacy and at 2:00 she would be waiting for me at the pharmacy to give me the medication herself. Fine..it's only a half hour out of my day..irritating but what can we do. 2:00 rolls around, I see her walk out of the pharmacy and back to whatever she was doing before, so I waited in line and spoke to a woman with red hair. I was clearly a bit irritated, so she decided to make me feel better by arguing with me on behalf of her coworker that they closed at 1:30...to which I replied "I know..that's why I was here at 1:25." She finished the transaction in a very rude tone (with one of the medications still not even being ready yet) and I went on my way. I called the shift manager again, informed her that they would not be seeing me again after informing her of the new issues, and then informed her that I would be calling the store manager on Monday myself because I don't know that I fully believe that she will. If you are reading this lengthy review, then thank you for taking the time to do so. I encourage you to go anywhere else for your medicinal needs. Personally, I will be trying the Zebulon Drug store, which has a whopping 4.5 star review compared to Walgreens lovely 2 star review (or less, depending on where you look.) I have not been there to make a judgement call, but they answered their phone when I called them, and that's already a leap above Walgreens' pharmacy. Avoid this place unless you want to add more blood pressure/anxiety medicine to your list. read more

This pharmacy has gone WAY downhill in the last few years. There is always a long wait whether using the drive-thru or going inside. There are usually many employees "working" there. I have seen some of them just talking or gofing around instead of doing their duties. I have been trying to get a refill for my mom for nearly a week now. It was actually sent in on 2/11 electronically & the dr. ofc has confirmation that it was received by Walgreens, by WG says they never r'cd it. After days of rigarmarole I called the dr. ofc back Thurs 2/27 & they called the scrip in. Walgreens still claims they never got that call. My mom NEEDS her scrip but now must wait until Monday before possibly getting it. I'm gonna try like heck to get her to change pharmacies. Avoid this pharmacy if at all possible! read more

This pharmacy operates like a zoo., no direction, wait time is ridiculous. This is the second time in the store trying to get vaccinated when an Hispanic gentleman come in and the girl from the back come out with his information fill out the necessary paperwork for him and give him his shot while I have been waiting for over 50 minutes. In there on 5/18 for first vaccine long, wait, same unorganized mess going on the pharmacy area. Asked the pharmacist why was I still waiting told me the best lie he could come up with others had an appt. well, when I was there on 5/18 I had an appt and it still over an hour waiting that long one line down the store. No record of my appt to get my Covid booster. Long wait before getting to the window, longer wait at the window while they ran around behind the counter. Asked me for my name and date of birth at least 3 times. The person that was "helping" me disappeared several times, finally came back with a form that I needed to fill out. "When you're done with it, take it over there to that window and have a seat and wait." I work in healthcare and have a lot of patience, but this was a frustrating. I left without getting my vaccine and will go somewhere they are more organized. I didn't see ANYONE actually get a shot. Maybe I was expecting too much from them, but I thought that the Covid vaccine process would be streamlined by now. Where do I begin .I was told my daughters prescription would be ready in a hour.so I go down to the store in a lil over a hr .the guy at window told me that it would be another hr .I go back after a hr and the guy at the window gives me her prescription. 48.50 .I get home and look and it's not even the whole prescription.
