Ben was super helpful. Although the wait was not too long. He took his time to be clear and precess. To help my young son and I. They didn't even have what we were in need of...But, his willingness to locate it, then gave me 3 options of where to drive and get it. Along with what the cost would be! (Also offered to have it next day) Look I get supply chain shortages... and after 4 other Walgreens said they can't help I need to call or drive to other spots to see if they have it . So after hang ups or 20 minute hold time with no help. This young man cleared up all the concerns in 6 minutes and 14 seconds from waiting till we got the information we needed and then forward the order to that pharmacy ahead of us showing up. I went to CVS pharmacy last night and had the best experience! While both gentlemen were helpful and friendly, Travis was especially kind. My insurance didn't cover something that I really needed, so he showed me how I could get all the same ingredients over-the-counter in order to better afford my medicine. He then went and got the ingredients himself, explained to me how to use them all and checked me out quickly! His kindness and helpful attitude really made my day as I was not feeling very well after my visit to the E.R. Thanks, Travis!! read more

This location has become a headache. It doesn't matter if you call ahead, your medication will not be ready when you get there. Also, you may have to wait in their very long line to the pharmacy before you find out. I'll be switching pharmacies soon. read more

This rating is a split between my opinion of the pharmacy and the staff of the actual retail store. To be fair, I am going to admit that I am not a frequent customer of this location, so take that as you will. Since this location is down the street from my home, I honestly tried to use this a lot in the past since our old insurance was through CVS. It seemed every single time I had to go to the pharmacy there was some sort of problem and I didn't find the pharmacy staff to be especially friendly or helpful. In fact, I cannot remember a single time the prescriptions were ready when I was told they would be and I typically wasted gas on multiple trips. Honestly, I started using the one on Teasley and only came here for more emergency situations. I always regretted those though. During those visits, if I needed anything from the store, I would just grab it and pay at the pharmacy. About 2 years ago we switched insurance and now use Walgreens so I recognize that things could have changed. However, I did stop in last year and asked about the blood pressure machines they sold and the pharmacy staff was still unhelpful. So the majority of my visits since then have been to get something from the actual retail store and most of those have been in the last 3 or 4 months. I typically come on a weekend, around mid morning. The staff that is working at that time is incredibly nice and they try to be helpful. I also want to recognize that they have done a great job in stocking their location. Almost every weekend morning visit (I believe more often on Saturdays, but occasionally on Sundays) they have been stocked in the paper goods that regular grocery stores were out of, of course with purchase limits. It may be more expensive, but when you are out of toilet paper or paper towels then I'm sure that can be overlooked more often than not. My personal win with this location was a couple of months ago when I was looking for a thermometer and had struck out at eight different stores. They had three types, starting at $8.50 and it was such a relief! The following weekend I stopped in to get something else but I walked by the same area and saw they still had a good supply of thermometers! That initial visit though, all I wanted was the thermometer and their server had gone down. They were actively trying to fix it and couldn't even take cash at that time. We left it with them at the counter and went out to our car to wait for 10-15 minutes before planning to check back in with them. A few minutes later one of the staff came to the door and waved us in with a big smile. I couldn't believe they made time to do so, they were not slow by any means! So if you need to stop in to the store, raise the rating and know that I recommend. If you need to stop in to use the pharmacy then lower the rating and go to the Teasley or Corinth (2181) locations instead. read more

Lines are so long for the pharmacy at this location. Pick up in store or in drive thru it's pretty busy. I usually order my prescriptions through the CVS app and pay for them. It's so much easier and faster! The stock for other items are okay, but this seems like a smaller location. Parking lot is pretty crazy connected to a Natural Grocers so there are constantly cars going through it with lots of traffic. I even saw a hit and run on a parked car there before. read more

I'm willing to give this place full marks because they have been good for what I've needed. I've used their photo print service, it was quick and high quality. I've picked up basic soap and toothpaste type stuff here and had no problems. It is a bit of an older store, and not really super nice inside but that didn't mean anything. It always seems well stocked, and I have asked the pharmacist for help finding something in an aisle and they knew where it was. I do fee for people who are frustrated at the long drive thru lines but can't speak from personal experience. This place is in a convenient location but also across the street from another pharmacy. The parking lot is old and not in great shape which doesn't help to make people less stressed, but it's always been an easy in easy out for me. read more

Quick and easy to get in and out but the pharmacy does get slammed so be prepared to wait or better yet, call ahead. Drive thru is friendly and if you have a child they are quick with a lollipop or if you have a dog, a dog biscuit. Good and local. read more

If you have any respect for yourself or your time, go to any other pharmacy in town. My husband was prescribed a medication to replace something his body no longer makes. It took 3 weeks for them to fill it and they still got it wrong. They gave him a 10 day prescription instead of a 30 day and wouldn't correct it. I can't even tell you how many times I went there because they said something would be ready and it was not. Walmart is better than this place and I never imagined recommending Walmart for anything. Are you looking for a dose of pain and suffering? If so, this is a great stop on your path of destruction. Personally, I'd rather lick the one star and skip waiting for the meds to materialize at this "pharmacy". Sorry for the long review but the past 24 hours have been made horrible by CVS. My doc called in two scripts. Both common meds to treat my upper respiratory infections. An hour after scripts were sent I went to pharmacy and waited about 30 minutes to be helped. I was told they would start processing my meds and they'd be ready by six. I returned at 7:15 and was told they had not started on my order. I was instructed to come back in 30 minutes. For the next three hours I called the pharmacy line to check the status. Mine were still pending by AM. Went to drive thru. Waited another half and hour to be told one script was ready and one they didn't have in stock (a common antibiotic) I was told I could go to a nearby branch to pick it up. I drove to the other Denton location and was told it wasn't released and therefore couldn't be filled. Interestingly enough, this office texted saying my scripts would be ready in three days! After almost an hour on hold, I went back and waited at the drive thru. I asked them to release the script so it could be picked up at other branch as I needed to start my antibiotic. They said they did. Drove back to other location (after stopping for gas to waste time) and was told it still was not released. WTF? Zero communication and here I sit almost two days after my doc appointment with no meds. I've spent the last two days dealing with their incompetence as my conditions worsened. Phone urgent care today asking doctor to consider sending my script to any other pharmacy. I will be pulling all of my scripts from CVS (which is my preferred provider on insurance and has been my pharmacy for years) I will also be contacting corporate. An hour on hold? No communication? Absolutely the worst pharmacy in town. My experience starts off with being prescribed one pain killer (Tramadol) and getting part way home and realizing they had given me another person's Oxycodone.... just a small potential crime, so I had to return to have the issue corrected. This was followed up by getting released from the hospital on a Wednesday and being prescribed a basic antibiotic, which is pretty important post surgery. I received a text that it was "on order" and I figured it wouldn't take long for them to get Augmenting in. Finally, after never hearing anything by Sunday morning, I call them. They feed me a line about Augmentin being in short supply nationally but they did have someone fail to pick theirs up, so they partially filled it and promised the rest on Tuesday. Having never heard back on Wednesday, I call back to be told they are still waiting on a delivery and my best bet is for ME to call another pharmacy. I call CVS on W. Hickory and amazingly, they have it stocked. I later looked on the FDA website and learned there was never a "shortage" of Augmentin. So not only did this pharmacy give me the wrong controlled substance, lie to me about a shortage of an antibiotic I needed, but they also could never be bothered to check other area CVS pharmacies to see about getting my prescription filled. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Sat on hold for 7 min to speak to a pharmacy rep re: new RX transferred from another pharmacy...no help, except to call my doctor a second time. I then called 800 customer service for a duplicate savings card. I had not used mine for 5 years. The rep found my info...BUT....would not help me since I could not verify my 5 year old phone number. I offered ss#, dob, blood type, etc. With these 2 negative experiences, I transferred all RX across the street to Walgreens. BTW, they were happy to assist me without all the CVS BS. I have dealt with this CVS 5 years and it is apparently par for CVS. I was called and told my prescriptions were ready for pickup, only to arrive and was told they were not filled. Called my Dr. and had prescriptions sent on Tuesday. Out of medicine, I went on Thursday. One prescription is ready. They don,t know what medicines I take after 5 years. I tell them my medicines. The response is always "come back in 2 hours". Went the next day. Only had 1 Prescription ready. When I got angry , the man at the register says " I put urgent on it". That means expect it will be filled some time after your blood pressure kills you. The Dr. says prescriptions we sent 3 times. I am still waiting to see if I can get my 4 prescriptions. If my insurance was taken anywhere else I would gladly dump these incompetent clowns. The last thing I was told was more important people were ahead of me. Which does not exist in your building on University Dr in Denton. Let me explain... I have ADHD. I am in my mid 40s. I was able to go 10 years without medications due to a regimented organizational process and years of self discipline practice, However, the systems I set up in my life are not cohesive with COVID protocols and the new "Screw you!" American attitude. So I recognized that I was drowning in my ADHD Symptoms and those symptoms were not allowing me to function in my life. I went to my Doctor, proved my diagnosis to them, got a prescription for Concerta. 3 weeks ago. I have yet to receive my prescription from your store. Let me go over the MULTIPLE conversations I have had IN THE PHARMACY over the course of days and weeks. Get a text from CVS, prescription must be filled...drive to CVS...nope, we are just letting you know that we have to get insurance approval...should take a couple days, we will let you know. 3 DAYS LATER....with not a peep from my pharmacist, I show back up to get my prescription. I'm sorry, we are waiting on approval from your doctor. Isn't that what a prescription is? Yes, we are having to get their approval anyway. No prescription filled. 2 DAYS LATER...still no word, lets go check. We are waiting on insurance approval. How bout I just pay cash for it as it is a brain med and my brain needs to function? But that would be $80! I don't care...my brain is more important that $80. Ok, come back in an hour and we will have that filled. NEXT DAY: I show up to get my prescription. We don't show that that should be filled. EXCUSE ME? I just talked to the pharmacist yesterday! Well, it wasn't filled because we cancelled the request for approval from the insurance company. Ok, so just fill it, I'm about to go on vacation. As you may guess, it wasn't filled. But I figure a 10 day vacation will help my brain and it should definitely be filled by the time I get back. You will NEVER guess what they said when I returned from vacation.....you aren't allowed to fill this prescription until the 17th of July...its a schedule 2 drug, dontcha know. Enter side eye and disdainful look from the tech convinced I'm drug seeking Concerta (because this is how they see EVERYONE and its up to you to convince them otherwise) Wait. You guys never gave me a prescription to begin with? How are you telling me I can't get a refill until a certain date. I'm here for the original prescription I have been waiting WEEKS for you to fill. And now you won't? You can call us later and talk to the pharmacist (little do they know that I KNOW they refuse to answer the phone. Other pharmacists in town will tell you the same thing) Few minutes later and I get a text from CVS saying they are waiting on insurance approval. Back to square one. If you have an extra 45 minutes to an hour to waste picking up a prescription this CVS is for you. Every time I come here it is one thing after another...waiting either due to lines at the pharmacy window or there is a problem and the first person cannot find the prescription so they have to get a second person to find it. After waiting in 2 different lines, even though the prescription was sent Monday and it is now Friday ask me to wait 15 minutes or so while they fill the prescription. I started a new medication that can have some pretty serious side effects a couple of months ago. It said on the front of the paper on the prescription "new medication pharmacist consult required" and they just handed ot to me and sent me on my way....good thing I am a nurse and had already discussed this with my doctor (and yes, I did tell the pharmacist the next time i was in that this had happened, she said it should not have happened...yes, I know that). I only come here because my insurance requires I use CVS and I dont know where another one is that is fairly close. I read Yelp reviews all of the time but never write them. After 4 months of dealing with this it was time to warn people. I had to have my prescription transferred here because my normal pharmacy was closed for Memorial Day. The staff in the pharmacy was very rude and made it extremely difficult to get my prescription moved over. I understand that there are procedures for these types of things but by the time all was said and done it took me almost 2 hours to get my medicine. read more

Very bad experience tonight at CVS. My wife and I went to take the COVID booster shot (she had an appointment at 9:00PM today November 21st 2021 and I was a walk in); I had scheduled an appointment online twice but was automatically cancelled by the system. When I had called earlier, the CVS pharmacist at the time told me to come as a walk in with her. When we show up, the pharmacist said he did not take walk ins...OK. Then my wife asked if it was possible to swap (Meaning I take the shot instead of her); the pharmacist says no... ok...still not a huge issue. She is getting ready to have the shot and noticed the pharmacist (Jesus, who also told us that he is the manager in charge) does not wash his hands (he has been working in the pharmacy area manipulating stuff and interacting with register, other customers, etc..). He is arguing that he has put some new gloves on. Questioning his hygiene, my wife is then told that he is not going to wash his hands and cancelling her appointment on the spot. My wife is insisting that she wants to have the shot; he then told us to vacate the facility and that if we don't, he will call the police for trespassing...this is how customers are treated in this location. His name was Jesus but he refused to provide his last name. We have filed a complaint with OSHA as we feel the hygiene is not per standards and we will call the manager in charge during the day tomorrow. read more
