Hispanic female was rude and disrespectful. I arrived at the store and waited for 10 to 15 in front waiting for someone to help. I was there to load money on my card. So after 10 minute I went to the back to find someone and I found a Hispanic girl who said she would be up there to help. So I went up there where I and another African American lady was waiting as well. we waited another 10 minutes and no one ever came, so I went to the back again and asked for help and she had a bad negative ugly disrespectful attitude. When her lazy self came to the register she Threw a box on the counter out of frustration, I told her that she had no customer service skills and that she knew we had been waiting and she had no business being rude. I asked for a manager and instead of helping me she asked me to leave. I am a 58 year old man who have the utmost respect for people. In my opinion these 2 employees handled the situation completely wrong. Great job CVS ! We have been loyal customers since you opened that location, We will never step foot in that store again. Went to pick up a prescription at 2pm they told me come back in an hour and it will be ready. I go back at 4 wait in line for 2 hours just for the guy with nappy ass flat top tell me it is not ready and to come back the next day. Get your shit together. read more

Came to grab a prescription to find out that the drive-through was broken. Went inside and felt relieved that no one was in line and was hopeful that I would be out quickly. The pharmacy staff informed me that it would be over an hour to pick up the prescription. Went to Walmart and came back over an hour and it was still not ready and we were told another 15 minutes. This is absurd. While we wait for over an hour there is no restroom available either. There are tacky hand written signs on each restroom door saying out of order. The ice is completely out of stock. The associates all appear lazy and make it clear that they do not like being at their job. Parking lot is dirty with trash all over it and the CVS pharmacy sign is 1/3 burnt out. I recently picked up my moms prescriptions from this location (drive through) I specifically told the young lady the medication SHE NEEDED! I understand that she had other medications there but we only needed the one we were asking for. The person at the window gave us the one we asked for (Medicine A) that clearly said DO NOT TAKE WITH Medicine B (she gave us Medicine B anyway). Medicine A was free; Medicine B cost $15. AGAIN Medicine B CAN NOT BE TAKEN with MEDICINE A which is clearly on the BOTTLE. What if my mom could no longer see the writing on the pill bottle? What if I didn't see it? What if she took both pills? The only reason why I gave this store 3 stars is because when I went in the young lady in the pharmacy was extremely kind. I can not for the life of me understand how a place that's created to help could have easily harmed. read more

Had an appointment scheduled, they called me an hr before to advice me to fill out paperwork. I called back to make sure they had sent the link and they were barely sending it over. I filled paperwork and submitted online when I arrived at clinic they asked for my id and insurance card when I had submitted on online portal, but they told me that needed a physical copy of insurance card and that they didn't have my online registration. Front desk girl was very helpful and was trying to do everything she could for me to get seen. They r/s my appt for Monday but I wasn't going to be able to get into the portal again to fill out paperwork till the following Friday. So a whole week and 3 after r/s not convenient at all. Girls in the back didn't seem like they wanted to deal with it so I just told the front girl to not r/s at all and don't plan on coming to this office. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever. It's close to my home so I tried to stick with it for a while but I just can't take it anymore. All the reviews are correct, rude people having personal conversations while ignoring the customers. On hold for over an hour. Never follow up and let you know when your prescription is ready. I wanted to cry for a little old man who the lady at the register was speaking to. She was very mean to him and when he walked away, she loudly spoke with her co-workers about how he gets on her nerves when he comes in. I had to wait for that conversation to end before she called me to the window. How in the HELL is CVS allowing this to happen for years????? read more

Every one of the workers in the pharmacy department does not have a positive personality. Nine times out of ten they don't acknowledge you when you walk in until they are ready to help you. AVOID IF YOU CAN. Terrible experience with the staff every time I go. First time I did COVID testing and was told to give a confirmation number from a text that was supposed to be sent. I explained that I never received the text and I keep all text messages. The attendant was rude and said to call a help number and maybe they could help. But she could not. So I leave and park across the street and call. The CVS representative tells me they are having a glitch with their system not sending text confirmations and have told the pharmacies not to turn customers away. He asks to stay on the line to speak with them while I go through the drive thru... fast forward and I am able to do my COVID antigen test. This test was for a trip. Unfortunately I had to use a different testing center to get timely results. I paid over $100 for the test. I did not get my results from this CVS until the night I returned from my vacation. Turns out they did the PCR instead of the antigen test. Apparently a NP is supposed to have a visit with you to discuss how the process with work. That never happened and the reason I know is because my friend had a COVID test done at another CVS in Houston. She spoke with a provider in person once her results were ready 15 minutes later. And this is just one incident. I figured I would try again to get my prescriptions because this is the closest pharmacy. I went when the store opened in the morning and was the 2nd person in line in the store. The pharmacy was unprofessional and had social conversations at length instead of tending to the customers in the store and in the drive thru. It's crazy that you come to work with an attitude. Unfortunately this is not where I would want to fill any future prescriptions. The lady at the Window was rude and did not know how to maintain a polite conversation. I wish I could give negative stars so horrible. I went to pick up my husband prescriptions as was told that one wouldn't be ready until Monday 3/26. Went back on 3/26 like I was told. Stood in the drive through line for 10 mins then backed out since the car ahead of me hadn't moved and I couldn't see that they had been waited on. Parked went in 6 people in the line ahead of me and the drive through window shade was down. Stood in line for 30 minutes only to be told the medicine hadn't come in and he didn't have any refills left, both of those reasons can't be true. DON'T DO IT!!! Horrible customer, unprofessional employees, unacceptable wait times!!!!

I dont even know why I go in this store. First an older woman than I and myself had to wait on the young cashier girl to get off her phone in the photo lab where she was playing rap music with vulgar words. All my items rang up on sale but there was a problem with the cvs vitamins. She called her supervisor who rang me up but when I got to my truck and looked at receipt still did not get sale price and she had said to me there it worked that time. WELL NO IT DID NOT! After supervisor goes to vitamin isle to check tag wants me to come back there uh NO it says on monitor buy one get one why would I want to walk to the back of the store. I finally just said give me a refund as I had steaks in my truck from the grocery store and a quick trip too forever. read more

The pharmacy is the worst I've ever seen. Despite the fact that there are 3 or 4 people behind the counter, only 1 person is helping the customers. They all move slow while talking to each other about their personal matters-- completely disregarding and ignoring the customers and the long line. I tried the drive through and it was even worse. I received a call that my prescription was ready. I was the only person in the drive through and still it took almost 10 minutes. They applied a film to the glass window and you are unable to see inside-- you cannot see who you are talking to while the rude staff barks questions about your birthday, etc...What an insult to the customers! I am very pleased how this location, which is around the corner from me, has really adjusted its pharmacy interaction to be more friendly and polite, attached with a smile. Even the Pharmacist spoke to me today. In the past, that was not the case, it was like going into the DMV. This pharmacy is horrible. I arrived at 7:00pm to pick up prescriptions that were dropped off at 4:30 pm. I was told it would be ready at 6:00 pm. I waited in the drive thru for 15 min to be told they had nothing on record. After a few minutes of looking around for the physical copy, they found it and said it was never entered and to give them 15 mins to fill. It has now been 25 min and they said they have not worked on any of the 4 prescriptions yet. All I ask is to not have my time wasted and to be provided with realistic wait times. read more

Called in a refill a few days before. I took in the insurance since you cant do that in the drive thru... 3 days later I go back to pick the refill up and noticed I had a 30 day setup not the 90 days that it was written for I call they tell me that the wrong refill number was entered and to come back to get a refund and refill of the refill. I go back, after 15mins of standing and waiting they refund the card that was charged a hour before and then after about 7 mins they tell me it wasnt the script number that the insurance wont refill 90 days only 30. I ask why was I told it was a mistake and I'm NOW told they couldnt see it until they refunded me. So now we need to fill the original script and they want to charge the card again (this take another 15 mins) but the card has been flagged as fraud for all the back and forth.... sigh I get the manager fill him in on the situation and after another 20 mins I now get to the bank and they (chase ,surprisingly) takes care of the problem. All in all it was more than 1 hour for the experience, I wont be going back even if it is closer than most. So think about it before you go. read more

Horrible, money order machine never works. Employees standing around waiting to be asked for help instead of greeting/helping

I live at a half point between the Cedar Hill and Desoto CVS. Consistently I find the service and attitudes at the Desoto location to be inferior to the Cedar Hill location. They are frequently out of stock, are unwilling to assist customers, and very slow in handling check out. I tried the curbside service last week. After an hour my order was cancelled. It showed no explanation as to why. When I placed the order it showed the item I wanted to be in stock. When I called to inquire why the order was cancelled they said the item wasn't in stock. Seems like that explanation should have been provided or someone could have called. After all my customer contact info is on file with my rewards card. Today I again tried curbside. After waiting 5 minutes I go inside of the store. There was no one at checkout register for several minutes. I inquired about my curbside order. Another individual was paged. She asked me to go back to the car and retrieve my scan barcode. She could have verified my name and order but no. When I went inside again (which is contrary to the purpose of doing curbside) there was a line. I was asked to stand in line until my code could be verified. I inquired if I could use my coupons and was told they are only allowed for in store use and not curbside. I would think that since clearly it was my second trip inside of the store that I could then use them, but no. This was not a pleasant experience. Having an infant in a car seat makes curbside appealing but by all means use another location. My curbside experience in Cedar Hill location was stellar. Desoto doesn't even have a flag to indicate where to park. Smh read more

I read the reviews here the other day and was surprised, as I've been here twice in the past few years and it was normal enough. i went today and was blown away and see what the reviews are about. at 8/28/13 in the afternoon i go. On the east side of the building I see some guy laying down like he just either OD'd on drugs, was drunk, etc. legs spread wide open, leaning against the brick wall. Unusual even for DeSoto. Almost called the cops on him but thought naw he's got enough problems and proceeded to drive around the drive thru. I pull up and waited 5 to 10 minutes. I'm the only one there. Then this lady drives up in their 2nd of two lanes. I figure no problem, she's behind me regardless. I then see this fat black woman in a black shirt at the window like she's picking up her phone to talk to me (they have prison visitor style phones there). Nope, she's talking to the late arriving lady in the 2nd lane. Finally when she's all done helping that lady and she's driven off, she decides to help me. She had attitude. I'm high up in a truck and once she opened the little "bank door" for me to sign a CC, I had no idea because i couldn't see it that low. I've spent a good while being ignored. "Can you SIGN this for me??" In light of her attitude I decided to inquire about helping others first. I said "is it first come first serve here?" Her answer was priceless. "NO." ??? I say "are you serious? Even though I pulled up way before cars arriving later get to jump in front of me?" Then the idiocy continued: "we help whoever we can get to first." ??? hahahaha. It takes a special kind of brain to come up with that and think it's a logical reason. "are you hearing yourself?" "SIR... I apologize, we'll try to get it right next time." From my experience employees that act this way have no one to really answer to, hence the bad attitude, lying to customers (it's not first come first served), etc. Anyway... it seems the ladies before me in this review line, were correct.
