Unlike the previous Yelpers, I have not attempted to fill a prescription at this CVS nor have I had any interactions with anyone in the pharmacy section of the store. My experience is solely based on the rest of the store. As a former retail employee, being greeted when I enter a store or come into an employee's work space is important to me. It's just a trademark of good customer service when you acknowledge a customer. I was greeted when I walked through the door, despite the fact that I was on the phone (yes, I was that person). Because I was looking for deals, I spent close to an hour in the store scanning items at the red box and working out scenarios. After deciding on my final purchases, I approached the counter. I had quite a few coupons, some of which did not scan. The cashier was extremely patient throughout the transaction and did not change the way she treated me. Based on this experience, I will definitely return to this CVS store in the future to scan for hard to find deals. read more

At(tn: Anthony Cox) The pharmacy service is terrible and it speaks volumes when it starts with the pharmacy manager. I tried to have a prescription transferred from the nearby (1 block away) Walgreens pharmacy in the same city. The pharmacist (David) said that he couldn't look up their telephone number (even though it's already in their system) and I would have to call him with accurate info. I told him I was driving and asked if he could look it up. This is the same thing most physician's offices do without difficulty if they were missing information, but apparently it was above his title to perform or delegate this common task. I hope this says more about this professional than it does about the store, but after seeing other reviews, I'm uncertain. read more

Terrible!!!!! I would give a zero star rating if I could. They need to hire more people!!! It took 25 mins to get a prescription that was already ready! The pharmacist had an issue with register, but instead of communicating that, he walked off with my debit card (ok cool, he's going to ring me up on another register), a customer ask him a question and instead of him telling her ma'am give me one moment, let me finish with the lady I was helping, he starts helping her. Like what????? So I had to wait as I'm watching him help her for like 5 mins. Then when he finally brings my card, the prescription, and receipt. He doesn't even apologize for the long wait in line, plus the additional time (5mins) I had to wait for him to stop assisting me to help someone else. I called the pharmacy as a provider concerning a prescription for a patient. it took three phone calls and several minutes to speak to anyone in the pharmacy. when I told them that the phone answering message system was not working appropriately she was very rude and told me that I just did it wrong. read more

The staff here is extremely incompetent and unprofessional, and it is likely due to the poor leadership of the store manager. The woman has zero management skills, and is more interested in her title than doing her job. She profiles black customers, and gets very angry if you don't respond well to her following you. I've lived in cedar hill for 9 years and always shop at CVS, but over the last 3 months or so I'm guessing the management is desperate for employees and hires ANYONE!! I came in the other day to get some things for my kids and the line was wrapped around the corner with one cashier!!! The other worker was laying out on the floor chewing gum on Instagram with not a care in the world. I was sickened. Today I go in and again!!!! Horrible pharmacy!! I've never been so disrespected in my life. Literally was talking to an employee through the drive up window around 1:20pm (they go to lunch at 1:30pm) and he was having trouble applying my GoodRx code. Not sure why... it's not that hard. At 1:30pm he had still not figured the code out and then proceeded to deny me service until after their lunch...another employee even put the cardboard up in the window when I was talking to them. Just ridiculous. I have called and made a complaint and have a case number. Hopefully something is done about the disrespect and horrible service. Take your service some where else:) read more

She is quick to greet you when you enter the pharmacy but when asked about the shelves missing allergy medicine and when they would get stocked or if there is a known shortage of a particular product, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "How should I know? Waited here for 30minutes to get a flu test only for the provider to refuse to give me a test because I had a fever a couple of days ago. She insisted repeatedly that I go to an urgent care somewhere else or any other CVS that is convenient for me. I reassured her that I just had a negative covid test result a couple of days ago, but I want to confirm that I do not have the flu. The only explanation that she would give as to why she wouldn't administer a flu test was that, "you have had symptoms - a fever, no cough, no shortness of breath - so go and get another covid test". I was under the assumption that CVS MinuteClinic had licensed providers who perform professional medical services for patients. This is not only concerning for the confidence I have with the quality of care that MuinuteClinic provides, but also a complete waste of time. If you are not providing services during this time update your messaging and website; it is not easy to get appointments right now due to overflow everywhere, and my time could have been better spent. read more

Now I see why it's rated so low, never had had so much trouble trying to get medication. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. The pharmacy is HORRIFIC. they are rude, unprofessional and completely incompetent. Raynor - one of the pharmacists - didn't call us yesterday to let us know it would take over 24 hours to get my daughters medicine in, and lied to save his ass. He treated my husband so poorly and wasn't helpful at all. He said "you can call other pharmacies if you want" even though they're supposed to do that for you. Obviously with a sick kiddo at home this isn't easy. And it was 8p and since they never let us know (at 2p when it was called in) we didn't have time for that. The next day when we went in to pick it up (finally) they attempted to charge us ABOVE market price for it. When we confronted them with our insurance company clearly stating on their app that we are only to be charged 30% of it they told us they couldn't do anything and we'd have to call the insurance etc. They are thieves, liars, and assholes. NEVER AGAIN. PS. This was the THIRD time they didn't have the meds we need in stock. And every time they never called to let us know. read more

The reason why I do not recommend CVS on Beltline rd in Cedar Hill is because they are very rude. I dropped my husband prescriptions off and a prescription for a nebulizer from the ER around mid September I only received two of my prescriptions. I continuously called and no one would answer. I finally got through to an employee I was asking about the nebulizer and she hung up on me!!! My husband was diagnosed with Covid and pneumonia. I went up as well as called for days and asked again where is the nebulizer it took them five days to get the albuterol medicine but no nebulizer. So I went in and talk to the employee again and I've done this many times in a 4 or 5 day period. Finally I got an answer from employees or pharmacist they finally found my prescription stuck in other paperwork on the counter and said oh we can't fill this. They should've told me that five days prior to dropping it off. My husband which has pneumonia was waiting for it . So I had to go find a medical supplier that would fill it and they took care of it that day. I am very disappointed and I will never use CVS on beltline rd. pharmacy again. I suggest no one else either. They are rude Insufficient, slow and they are not helpful at all. I usually don't give reviews like this but this one really upset me. This pharmacy has the most incompetent staff. They never explain everything correctly, especially vital information. They do not care the least bit about you and your health. This pharmacy is absolutely terrible!! They change information about your meds without your consent and the staff are unwilling to help or get you help, or try and resolve any issue, however minor, that you may have. Now one of the many reasons people love shopping at CVS is for the reward bucks to receive and the extremely easy couponing. That little red machine is every CVS shoppers best-friend. Unfortunately the customer service at this establishment was very below star rating. The manager to be exact. He had absolutely no interest in helping us find out what was wrong with that machine. He didn't even leave the counter to come take a look. He was tending to no one at the moment. He seemed to get frustrated that we kept asking him to check that he left to the back and had a nice young woman help us out. But even then the machine was still not being checked. Another customer even open the latch and saw there was no more paper. They clerk refused to put any in and kept saying even with paper the machine would still not work. No sense was made whatsoever out of the clerk. We left and saw the manager in the back of the building on break. So sad customer service is not how it use to be. read more

I tried to get a prescription filled here on a saturday. It was about an hour and a half before they closed. She rudely told me they had the medication but I would have to come back the next day to pick it up. When I told her I needed the prescription today, she informed me they were "backed up" and she wouldn't fill it today. I have never had to wait more then an hour at any pharmacy, any time of day, when filling a prescription. I would understand if I came in right before closing, but an hour and half should be sufficient to get a single 60 pill prescription filled. If the store cannot handle a high volume of customers, they should consider hiring additional help or hiring more capable employees that can handle their jobs without being rude to customers in the process. If you need a prescription filled, I would recommend going down the street to Walgreens. They have the same hours as CVS, were much busier, and still had were able to fill my prescription in less then an hour. read more

If you're going for chips or ice cream, probably not the worst ever. If you need the actual pharmacy, literally anywhere else would be an improvement. You can't get anyone on the phone they hang up, place on an unending hold, have attitude when you ask questions. Etc. And so far I have never ever ever ever had a prescription ready when they say it will be ready. I've even come hours after they say it will be ready and am still told they're behind and to wait in the parking lot 20 to 30 minutes. read more

I'm required to use this Pharmacy per my insurance. I have had nothing but trouble. Prescriptions not being ready timely, calling to tell me my scripts are ready only to get there after and find that it will be an hour wait. And today the Dr called in antibiotics due to illness and Pharmacy tried to say the Dr didn't want Med filled until 6pm??? So if your insurance gives you a choice go anywhere but here. read more

I live at a half point between the Cedar Hill and Desoto CVS. Consistently I find the service, checkout speed and willingness to help at the CH location to be far better to the Desoto location. Today I tried curbside. No waiting. Literally as I was parking a gentleman was already at the curbside stand with my order. Wow! I couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction. Having an infant in a car seat makes curbside very appealing. My curbside experience in Cedar Hill location was stellar. read more

I like CVS pharmacies in general (except for the long checkout lines), and was happy to find one very near my house when I moved to Cedar Hill last year. I have been lucky enough to avoid medical problems until recently, when I suddenly became sick and now require numerous medications. This pharmacy employs many very nice young people, however I don't think I've ever experienced such bad customer service. I am currently on hold with them on a Wednesday morning to ask about another prescription that they have probably lost, although I don't know because I haven't spoken to a person since the time I dialed 30 minutes ago. I frequently encounter lines, delays, and excuses from this pharmacy, and have gone days without medication due to their incompetence. It would be helpful if the staff at CVS in Cedar Hill realized that, when people are picking up prescriptions, there's a good chance they're sick and don't feel well. Being patronized by rude, unprofessional staff doesn't make them feel any better. The customer service here is awful, they don't want to work or earn your business. I stopped in for a prescription to be fulfilled 12-26-2017, they didn't have it. So the girl at the window tells me to go to another one to fulfil it. I told her no I'm here and so I would still like it to be ordered. She told me that it would be ordered and come in the next week. She gave me the prescription back, but didnt take my contact info. So I asked her don't you need my contact info, she said no to just check back. I check back today 1-7-2018, initially by calling, but they weren't picking up so I was on hold. I was in hold for 15 minutes before I decided to drive there while still on hold. When I get there they tell me that the medicine wasn't ordered. Really, are you kidding me. Plus while there 23 minutes later they answered the phone while I was still on hold. There were only 2 people in line when I arrived at 5:55pm, and 5 people behind the counter there was no reason for them to not be answering the phone; except for the fact that they shut down 20-30 before quitting time including closing the drive thru so down. Thus time they told me to just go to Walgreens or Wal-Mart to order. I will do just that anywhere except here again. read more

I already wrote a Yelp review about my prior experience with them. After complaining to corporate Clifford, the incompetent pharmacist, called me 2 weeks later. He basically begged me to try them again and stated that they haven't had a complaint in a few months. The fact that he was compelled to mention that, speaks volumes. Well I figured I was due 2 refills so why not?? Afterall, it's literally 2 minutes from my place. Well in true ghetto cedar hill CVS fashion, they were once again unprofessional. They felt the need to have jokes amongst themselves and the same ghetto girl from the previous experience felt the need to mock me. I have never in my life seen a business act in such a way. I've gone to CVS for as long as I can remember. The McKinney, Frisco, and Desoto ones act accordingly unlike Cedar Hill. It's a shame that I will never do business of ANY kind with CVS again. I only hope that all those FOOLS receive the same treatment from a business that they have felt the need to show me not once, but TWICE read more
