First off, let me say I am a patient woman, but five hours waiting in a pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous and no reason for it on a normal day. My doctor calls in my meds. I gave them two hours they get them done. I go pick them up on this day my doctor sent over my meds and I decided to wait because I was already there anyway I didn't wanna drive 30 minutes back home and then back to Dickson get on the app see my prescription trickle in. All about one so I go to the window this man very loudly list off all the medicines that I'm waiting on and I ask him for where the one is. He says we don't have that one. I said where's it at well your doctor hadn't sent it. I said my doctor sent all of them together. They're all there, but that one is lost in space it's not on his computer I said can you do some digging with your. Well, your doctor hasn't sent it ma'am. Yes he has, just like the other ones no no it's not here. so I called my doctor's office yes ma'am it was sent it 242 but if you would like, I will send it again. That would be great. I'm already an hour in send it again. The very rude man got up and walked off so I walked back up to the window and the lady comes over. There starts looking into it says oh I found all of them give me 30 minutes. Never mind you 3.of the 5 are already filled. One of the last two was Zofran and all you have to do is print the paper stick it on the box and it's good to go. Oh wait 34 minutes. Walk up there still nowhere in sight for the one. Which means I have to go back over to this window where this guy is now back eating some chips and drinking on his water while he's speaking to me no still don't see it. I said what do you mean? She said she found it. It would've been 30 minutes. She said yes I'm working on the last one right now which is the Zofran I took her that long to put a dang sticker on a box and she didn't get to it until she seen me walk up to the window. no ma'am, I'm not talking about that one. I'm talking about the one you said you found well. I remember speaking of these, but I don't remember speaking the one you were talking about I'm so sorry she says in a smart ass manner so I call my doctor again he said don't worry I'll just call it in over the phone thank you so I hear him take this phone call. Write down the prescription so I walked outside. Smoked a cigarette walked back in went to the bathroom and walked up to the window and said so, you got it now, right yep, putting it in right now are you kidding me? It's been 20 minutes since you received it. You know I've been here for five hours finally the pharmacy manager notices that I'm still there and asked me what I'm waiting on and I tell him and it's done in 10 minutes. There is something seriously wrong at this location! Prescriptions take way too long to get filled, cars are always lined down the parking lot, and the place is a mess!! They literally have prescriptions on the floor!! CVS corporate really needs to come look at this place. There are some nice employees, but I can't imagine how miserable their jobs are!! The electronic checkin is one step in the right direction, but the back pharmacy processing is beyond inefficient!! They are right across from the hospital/ ER and an urgent care clinic. You would think when the ER/ Hospital/ Urgent Care calls in a script they would get it filled asap so someone leaving the ER/ etc. doesn't have to wait for an hour for their script! There pharmacy is horrible.. im a sick old lady and take 15 different prescription from a mail pharmacy the army uses.. I get one prescription from cvs and they treat me like crap... they say it's time to refill so I refill it and then they it's to early and can't have it.. I don't drive and depend on other people to get my prescription so it very hard to line people up when you can't depend on the pharmacy..so when I called the insurance company.. they said cvs show they feel it. During the ice storm disaster in Middle Tn, the CVS pharmacy housed their pharmacy technicians in a local hotel with power, while the Dickson Business strip was without power. I consider these people as representing their company, CVS, if they are going to work that morning and wearing clothing that represents their company. One pharmacy technician had very unprofessional behavior towards the staff of the hotel and their guests at the hotel. He hatefully spoke to the cooking staff in front of the other guests there, when he saw the breakfast served that morning to the hotel guests. He hatefully said to the staff and guests, "I don't eat pork!!!!" In an extremely loud voice, when he saw some bacon and eggs served there. Extremely rude and selfish and self serving, when thousands are without power and hot food in the Middle TN area. There is a multitude of other choices in breakfast buffet foods that he could have chosen. Instead, the CVS pharmacy technician demanded chicken to be cooked especially for him, during a state wide power outage. It is true what these other reviews say about the CVS Pharmacy staff being uncourteous and treating customers badly and in a unprofessional manner. They even do it in public to total strangers in Dickson. CVS paid for these pharmacy technicians hotel and food. CVS is responsible for their ugly behavior to other business employees in the Dickson area. Kudos to the Cooking staff who actually cooked chicken for this man, he did not deserve it. read more

I really like CVS as a store but the pharmacy is probably the worst in Dickson. They are rude in the pharmacy both the cashier's and the pharmacist. They act as if you are bothering them by being there. I had to visit the emergency room on Saturday my regular pharmacy closed at one. I had the doctor to send my script to CVS upon arrival at CVS they literally had twenty cars in line at the drive thru. Yes I counted. Since I wasn't going to need my meds until Sunday morning I decided to just pick them up then. I arrived at the pharmacy when they opened at ten. I told the cashier I was there to pick up my meds she got my name,checked for my meds and said oh these haven't been filled yet. They were called in at one pm on Saturday. I use CVS as my backup or have for years. They had all my insurance and contract information so I see no reason for my scripts having not been filled on Sunday morning. I will still shop at CVS store but no longer will I use the pharmacy. I think it is sad that the core business is so poorly run. I think CVS should take pharmacy off their name if they can't provide that service efficiently. read more

Thank god this isn't the only pharmacy in town...if the constant line of cars stretching to the main road and blocking half of the parking lot isn't enough of a reason to go anywhere else maybe being spoken to like a child who's parents don't like them will do the trick. The pharmacist that I spoke with regarding a pharmacy to pharmacy prescription transfer was INCREDIBLY rude to me, spoke over me, hung up on me when I first called and simply would not listen to what I was saying due to his preconceived (and false) notions as to the nature of my call...all of this after half of my script was "not received" the night before and I was simply calling to check on the status of my transfer so I could come back AGAIN the next day. I will NEVER do business at this pharmacy again and strongly advise anyone else to follow suit due to the lack of professionalism and tact displayed by this pharmacist. read more

this pharmacy is constantly slow and rude. There are literally always 10 people in the bag, but they can never seem to get anything out when someone's actually there for it even if they've been waiting two days for the prescription to be filled already. And what kind of business especially one of a pharmacy has all of their employees take lunch at the same time ? Like other people don't have lives or somethings, so your lunch is important, but my medicine and Health aren't? Like if you have 10 employees why do all of you need to be on lunch at the same time if you just took lunches all the different times, there would always be someone there to help and they were a lot better if you weren't out for an hour, taking lunch all at the same time. I work in customer service and not once has the whole building ever does everyone need to take lunch I just don't see why they need to. read more

I called on on March 21, 2024 because I had questions on how to fix an issue with my prescription and the girl that I spoke with was extremely rude for no reason. She wouldn't even let me get all of my sentences out before she would rudely interrupted me with "NOPE" and "ITS THS GOVERNMENTS LAW" I understand that people in this line of work are always on the fence because they deal with crazy and rude people but that's not an excuse to be rude to everyone. I'm not crazy or rude, I'm actually an extremely nice person and I just wanted help in understanding what was going on with my prescription and she was incredibly rude about it. I will never go back. Welcome to the slowest CVS Pharmacy in the history of CVS pharmacies. Literally have to sit in line for 30-45 minutes anytime you go get a prescription through the drive thru. Tried to complain to corporate, nothing was done about it and they did not seem to care. I have visited so many CVS Pharmacy locations and every single one is better than this one. Not sure what is going on inside with the staff but they need to be trained a better system of how to get medicine out the window to their customers. It is not any better when you go inside the store either. So if you plan to come here for anything at all, expect the longest wait of your life. I picked up a prescription there on 11/7 and paid $161.80. I just looked at my debit card transactions for yesterday and they have charged me an additional $161.80 on my debit card. It says cvs.com on the transaction. I called the pharmacy and they said they could not refund my money and that I had to call the toll free number. I have been on this line for about 2 hours getting shuffled around from person to person. Everybody says that I have to talk to somebody else. I have been hung up on twice. $161.80 is a lot of money to steal from somebody and I am sick of being given the run around. I finally gave up and called the local pharmacy again and was told once more that they refuse to give me my money back and that I should just dispute it with my debit card. I've always had a great experience with this pharmacy, until today. There is a female pharmacist that I had not seen before. I went in when they opened, because as my moms caretaker, I run errands early before getting her up. They told me it would be an hour, I returned 45 minutes later. As I'm at the counter she and an employee begin to speak ill of me, yes I could hear them. The pharmacist then preceded to make a snarky comment about how busy she is when they open. I told her it was okay, I understand. I want to add that the time they took speaking about me, she could have had my moms medicine done. When picking up my scripts I was told the total would be $200. I calmly disagreed and once again presented my insurance card. An incredibly rude woman told me they had filed my insurance and I needed to talk to them. Also stating, rather loudly and easily heard by most of the pharmacy the specific type of drug I had and that it was likely not covered. I was made to feel like I had done something wrong because of the type of Medicine I needed. After speaking with my insurance I found out that it had NEVER BEEN FILED. Pharmacy employees are always rude. They are always slow and act as if you, the customer are privileged they are filling your prescriptions. I have had it with the inconsistency with my medication refills, and cost. I have never been to a pharmacy that lacks in customer service as this location. I have used CVS for years but ever since I moved down here a year ago it is nothing but a living hell dealing with them sometimes. It depends on who you get usually. One time I had a prescription for a medication I had been on for ten years and I presented it to them and asked if I could get it filled. The woman told me that it no longer existed and that there was nothing they could do about it. I then went next door the rite aid (no longer there) where they promptly filled it. I have had a lot of issues with them filling and keeping on hand my seizure medication that they give me lots of issues with. Lesson is, go to walgreens and wait until the red haired woman is no longer working there. She is very rude and does not have any desire to help you. read more

This did happen a while past but I've not gotten over it. My pain clinic gave me a prescription for Methadone tablets. I've never had a drug problem, never been to rehab, am just a lady with chronic back pain! The doctor explained to me that Methadone is a pain reliever although a lot of people associate it with being for people trying to get off of hard drugs. I turned in the prescription and waited, along with about 8 other people waiting. Before long the pharmacist loudly called my name. Then over a high counter he announced in front of everyone that CVS didn't "carry Methadone"! You could see the stares of those around me. My mom hurriedly left the store, embarrassed. I could feel my face burning as I retrieved my prescription while stammering something about it being for pain. I was so shocked that he had announced my name and the drug acting like I thought they were a Methadone clinic or something. I was so angry when i returned home, I called and eventually spoke to someone in charge who said I would be apologized to by the pharmacist. Like that would help! The pharmacist did call me and he informed me he was calling because he was told to. This, to be fair, was several years ago. I moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy and still wasn't planning to ever do business there. Now my doctor, because of a mixup, just called in a prescription to there. My family has been using this particular location for 20+ years and while we've been frustrated in the past, we are nothing if not loyal. Unfortunately that loyalty will be re-evaluated after today. When a misunderstanding came up I specifically asked if I should personally call my doctor to make sure everything got resolved in a timely manner that way I could get my medication today. I was repeatedly assured that everything would be fixed and I'd be able to pick up my prescription this afternoon. I'm sure you can guess what happened next. I was told that my doctor's office did not get back to a message that CVS left with them, telling me there was no proactivity or concern for their clients and their health. If I was only told that I should follow up with my doctor just in case, I would have had absolutely NO problem doing that but I was repeatedly assured there was no need. While my parents may continue to give this place business, you can consider my 20+ years of business thrown out the window. read more
