I'm never comfortable in this store, maybe because it's small, always crowded and doesn't seem to operate as effciently as it could. However, big call out today with a THANK YOU to the pharmacy team for filling my last-minute prescription on Labor Day when they closed at 2 PM. Urgent Call called CVS at 140 PM, I arrived at 142 PM, and I was out of there at 155 PM. Not life threatening but when you have a lingering cold for 3 weeks, and it feels like it's getting worse, it almost feels, life threatening. The Doctor finally stepped up and prescribed more than OTC solutions and inside of 12 hours I am already feeling better. THANK YOU CVS pharmacy team for filling both prescriptions. read more

The CVS in E. H. is the worst CVS ever How is it possible that a person that needs to check on her medication calls and they never, ever pick up the phone! Then I get a tx that my med. is ready but I get there and wait for 35 minutes on the line they tell me that it won't be ready for another 2 hours. Then I said you tx that it was ready. They give a blank face with no explanation. I come back 3 hours later she says now you have to wait 40 minutes because it is still not ready. The personnel is incompetent. Unfortunately for me, I am bipolar and therefore, sometimes inpatient. Again I wait in line for 30 minutes when it's my turn and as the line gets longer the woman on the counter stars bs ing with the guy who picked up aspirin and toothpaste?" Pharmacy/Vaccination with a side of kindness! Was looking for a close place for Covid booster shot. CVS RX team at 38 Pantigo Road, East Hampton made it super easy and safe. The pharmacist, Theodore Heinz was prompt, professional and administered my shot efficiently and with less pain to my arm than past 2 in NYC. Basically, you wait in line just to be told that your medication isn't ready so after waiting for 10 min on line and also having people cut you (bc of the entitlement) are the ones who are waiting for their medications. The pharmacy is always out of stock, they never order anything on time, they are insanely rude, and they often pretend that their computers aren't working so they don't have to bother giving you your medication. I was bit by a shark surfing and sustained a small cut on my right foot. CVS on 38 Pantigo Road was faxed a prescription for cefadroxil 500 MG and they were able to satisfy the order 8 minutes later. As a resident of Montauk, I no longer go to Whites Pharmacy in Montauk due to the excessive delays, being given the wrong prescription at times and due to the disorganized pharmacist working the counter. CVS in East Hampton is clearly the better option and worth the drive. read more

These CVS pharmacies in East Hampton are a s#*t show! EVERY TIME I have a prescription, I have to wait because it's not filled yet, and there's always other waiting in frustration. And mind you, I make sure to give them hours before I arrive. My advice, call and make sure your prescription is ready. I'm generally quite a patient, easygoing and tolerant person. But as someone who relies on several prescription medications and has lots of experience in the healthcare system, I can say hands down that this is the worst pharmacy I have ever had to do business with. I can't count the number of times I've received erroneous or ambiguous text messages about filled prescriptions that were actually not filled and not in stock; or encountered mistakes regarding the transfer of prescriptions to or from other pharmacies in the network; or not received notification of a filled prescription; or found that my confirmed instructions to pause (or resume) automatic refills were not implemented, causing headaches when I try to fill at a different location when I am not in East Hampton. Worse, it's nearly impossible to verify status of any of this by phone prior to wasting one's time driving in, as the hold times are always - always - ridiculous. It's a travesty that if you live in or near East Hampton, options for major pharmacies are limited, so this shamefully lazy and inept establishment is likely thriving despite unfathomably poor treatment of its best customers. read more

Cramped, jammed with so much stuff in narrow isles. Unhappy pharmacists who never smile that cannot check other prescriptions on their designated "pick up" computer. The whole layout of the store is mind boggling -the drop off computer is stuck way in the back corner. You are constantly moving out of people's way. The pick up line is in the middle of an isle. The whole store makes no sense. Really unpleasant place to go. Other one on Montauk Highway so much nicer. There the parking lot you can get out of alive! read more

well, this pharmacy is the worst. The don't answer the phones (EVER) been kept on hold for hours.... they send texts when medication is ready for pick up, only to wait 45 minutes in line, and to be told medication is not ready, and I shouldn't rely on the texts, they mean nothing. tryin to use my prescription somewhere else, but they have me on auto-fill. I have to call to cancel that, but since they don't answer their phones, it's impossible. The staff is rude, and unhappy. White's Pharmacy, down the road is way better, kinder, and friendlier... The pharmacy here is a real problem, you go in on any given day and there are 5-6 people working, yet it takes forever to get a prescription filled or a long line to pick up a prescription. I went in today to get 2 scripts filled. There was nobody on line to drop off or pick up. It took the pharmacist over ten minutes to get my new insurance figured out and to get the scripts entered, he then told me it would be 3 hours! By that time it would be 5pm and there would be dozens of people waiting to pick up their meds. I took my prescription to Park Place Chemists, presented them with the scripts and my new insurance card, they said have a seat and we will have them in 5 minutes. thats how long it took! My other issue is the self service checkouts, they sometimes have 2 employees working the "self service" checkouts, why not put those people behind the registers to help those that can't figure out the self serve and leave them open for those of us that can work them? Then they shut them down in the evening making for a longer line with the one checkout person!! VERY FRUSTRATING! read more

Not CVS fault but parking lot always crowded because post office customers use. Don't even bother trying to get a space on a weekend afternoon in the city. It's convenient if you could park anywhere NEAR this place. It's impossible to find a parking spot in the place's own parking lot. It's conveniently next to the post office, but that also crowds parking on the road next to both places, (which is the easier choice to use to park, if you can avoid all the haphazard idiots that don't know how to park their car). I'd suggest biking there if you live close enough. read more

Pretty standard pharmacy. Nothing over the top and they have pretty much all the essentials, even though it is a bit small. The self checkout option was great, as there was no wait at all. Also the location is very convenient with a fairly large parking lot. read more

This CVS does have quite a bit, and really is the only gig in town. Cigs are cheaper than most places. They have remodeled recently which certainly helped expand their food and drink area. The pharmacy looks suspect though. The line can be long and the self check out is the most arduous process ever. Parking can also be a real treat as there are very few spaces, two of which are taken up by permanently parked budget rental trucks. read more

Okay store. Customer service has been improved over time but all the coupons friendly cashiers have quitted making it harder to use coupons here. Some cashiers are really rude but others are good. Normally out of stock even if the stuff was not on sale. The cheapest place to buy beers in town though. Everything else is priced ridiculously higher than other CVS unless on sale by the ads. read more

This is a poorly managed CVS. Shelves are actually empty at times. Popular products and sale items are out-of-stock. Stock is filled n during the day so the customer has to maneuver past piles of cartons. Forget trying to get a prescription filled here---just forget it. Also, the prices are marked up so that "sales" can be run every weekend. Finally, there is very, very limited parking. The town should never have approved a high traffic store with such limited spots. read more

Refused to accept my medicare supplement for the 20% co-payment on diabetic testing supplies, and made me pay out of pocket. When I later checked what the supplement had paid (on-line), I found that in addition to charging me the co-payment, they also billed the supplement and were paid. So they charged the 20% to both me and to the insurance company! When I called and asked to be reimbursed (they agreed that I had been charged by mistake), I was told that I would receive the refund in 6-8 weeks. (after being on hold for 30 minutes). It didn't come, I called again, same thing. It is now 8 months later and I still haven't received my money back. They defrauded me and are probably doing the same to others. Shop somewhere else. read more
