I used Onpoint for the first time because my pharmacy did not carry the compounded mouthwash…read moremedicine prescribed. 1) They did not tell me in advance that my insurance did not cover it. 2) There were no instructions to swish in mouth for 5 minutes or not to eat/drink for 1/2 after using. 3) There were no precautions that it contained Benadryl and could make me drowsy, and I am highly sensitive to Benadryl. 3) They did not provide a cup or syringe to measure the 5 ml dose and they did not tell me not to drink from the bottle as it can cause bacteria to form, which could cause an infection. 4) They did not tell me to keep it refrigerated. This is totally irresponsible and unacceptable from a pharmacy.

Her tone is sharp, her communication feels hostile, and there is no attempt to be helpful or understanding. Pharmacies are places where people are often dealing with health concerns, stress, or vulnerability. Being met with nastiness and insensitivity in that setting is not just unpleasant , it's alarming. Professionalism and compassion should be non-negotiable when you're working with medication and patient care, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here. I truly hope management addresses this, because no one should feel spoken down to or disrespected when accessing their medicine.

Not least of all, they always get everything right, including my request for a regular (not safety) cap. It is a dramatic improvement over the chain pharmacy that I switched from. I am at high risk for a serious allergic reaction from the COVID vaccine, but decided to get it anyway. The pharmacist who administered the shot could not have been more solicitous and reassuring. She monitored me for ten minutes longer than the usual time. The convenience of being able to shop for prescription and OTC drugs in the same place has been very important to us during the pandemic - my husband and I are of a certain age.

Now not is OnPoint Roslyn having difficulty getting a different med in stock, they keep saying they will deliver on a specific day and do not follow through, and then I am the one who has to make a phone call to follow up. I just called to cancel my order, explained patiently all the problems I have had, and not a mutter of an apology. DONE with OnPoint. (Also: note that all but one of the good reviews on Yelp are prior to when OnPoint took over in September of 2022.) Don't mess with people's health.

It is now owned by Pharmacists that worked for Wayne. I was originally concerned that things might change. I am happy to say that they are my new Angels. I am still treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The new owners retain the same caring that Wayne always did. My concern was unnecessary. If you ever need special treatment by a pharmacy and, like me, your insurance doesn't help, I highly recommend Wayne's Pharmacy. You won't be sorry. All name brands but prices are discounted pretty well. Then there's the sundries...fragrances, fancy soaps, unique brands of lotions, makeup, plus a really nice selection of greeting cards and paperbacks. I stop in here a lot to browse especially at gift giving times. Staff always has a friendly greeting and it's always the same people. When I need sundries I'll choose this Mom and Pop over CVS or Walgreens.
