I love Holiday Farms in Glen Head. Pre storm chatter was all stores are packed with long check out lines but not here. Easy in and easier out in 7 minutes flat. There were plenty of cases of water and 1 gal containers. The deli is my favorite stop. The energy of the team there is fantastic. They are quick, proactive, happy and solid. Love the appetizing hot food bar( $11.99/lb) as I got the buffalo chicken wings with that intoxicating sauce, the sausage n peppers and the mmmmm Mac n cheese. The chicken fingers look pretty good too. Love the soup section and selection. Great bakery section with bagels at a buck and a quarter a pop and some awesome scones. The prices are good, really good!! The store is immaculate and very well organized . Cashiers are jolly and work hard. Always a pleasure to shop here. Still feels like the Holidays. read more

They don't honor their coupons! I bought over $200 worth of stuff! Never going back!!!

This location offers quality produce. Very clean and organized. I like the deli and hot bar, where you can find delicious ready-to/eat salads, fish and chicken parts, freshly made daily . Some weekly sales items have attractive prices. Such as local grown Romain lettuce, Bragg organic apple cider vinegar, etc. However, over all prices are higher than other supermarkets. read more

This is the best supermarket in the area. All the reasons you can imagine. Clean, well stocked, well staffed, fair prices. But why is this the best? I have many reasons. But I'll give you one. Pork belly. I wanted to try burnt ends in my smoker but needed a full slab with little fat and couldn't find it anywhere. I called Holiday Farms and they brought it in for me. And it came out great. I was in your store on Thursday 7/25. I went to pay at the register and the cashier Julian said my card didn't go through so I put through again and it still did not go through. So I left and went to another store and my card worked at that store. I went back to your store the next day and went to pay and I had the same cashier. Again I put my card through and again Julian said the card didn't go through so I told him to look at the screen and then the card went through and approved the sale. Not so Super-market. Wow I think I stumbled into a Waldbaum's left over from the 50's... Smaller than average store, with everything that you can get at other Waldbaum's locations, only less of it. To be honest, they really do utilize the space well but the selection is limited. Worse, they seem a bit disorganized - for instance they have a huge stack of Saturday papers for sale on Sunday morning, only 1 cashier and no assortment of baked goods you would expect to see on a Sunday - such as bagels and muffins. Prices are decent and the one checkout girl was quick, but then again, there weren't that many people there yet... Parking in front. read more

If you're not into the big name grocery stores then this one located in the Park Plaza in Glen Head will do. The selection is about the same as the rest, nothing of really fancy quality given its Gold Coast location but the prices fit the area so be ready to shell out extra bucks. Meats were quite expensive in particular. The staff are kind of snotty as well. If you live in the area then I guess this is your spot but I don't see myself going out of my way to stop back here to grocery shop. I'll stick with ShopRite and Stop & Shop. read more

This is my go to supermarket every weekend for my weekly shopping. It is the cleanest supermarket in the area and they have a lot of specials each week and freebies when you sign up for the email list. A big step up over the former Waldbaums and almost as good as a ShopRite. The store seems pleasant enough on first entry. It's laid out well and the selection is fine for a store of this size. I found it shockingly pricey (and I just moved here from Boston, which is not the cheap food capitol of the world), and I agree with the other reviewer that the service could be a bit rude and horrible, even by local standards. It would be an OK alternative to a convenience store for last-minute groceries if it wasn't so challenging to get in and out of the parking lot. read more

Three times in the past month, I asked different deli personnel to slice the ham very thin. Each and every time, I returned home with thickly sliced ham. The deli boy, the last time told me it was sliced thin but it wasn't. There was a long line of people, so I just took the ham and left. They never ask a customer if they would like to taste a slice and they have little knowledge of Boars Head products. Horrible! They shouldn't be selling Boards Head at all. read more

Great store w great price the aisles arent too small, meats are a hit or miss but just like every grocery store. The aisles are clean. Bathroom located near produce. Bought wrong size of diapers and no problem returning. Managers specials are some times to cash out-usually i do my own cashing out. No card needed which is great. read more

AWFUL!!! We recently moved to the area and have shopped here a couple of times. Being that this is a well to do area I figured it was ok. I even overlooked the small, dark and disorganization of the store. Lesson learned the hard way. I have never in my life purchased meat and chicken that was spoiled. I thought it was a one time thing but EVERYTIME I bought meat or chicken here it is spoiled. Unless you need to buy cereal, toothpaste or canned goods I would not trust this store. Holiday Farms is a breath of fresh air compared to Waldbaums. Everyone is helpful. Great selections. I am so glad I don't have to go to Glen Cove anymore. I find their sale prices are good deals. Everyone can say it is pricey but all of the stores have been raising prices. I like that I can actually get fresh fruit and vegetables and some decent baked goods. They also have a great Deli Dept. This is as good as it gets for a small neighborhood grocer. read more

I used my PIN and debit card at this store and the next day my account was drained. I approached my bank and they told me that another woman had used her card at this Waldbaums and had her account drained the same day. The bank is investigating but it is possible that this place has a thief or thieves for employees. Don't shop here unless you use cash. read more

I have found the store of Waldbaums to be incompent,rude and yes moraly and ethicaly irresposible.Tonite represents the THIRD time they have 'ripped' me off.I find items missing and on the receipt an item I did not purchase.The first time,being a senior citizen I ignored it,The second time,I called and will not repeat what was said nor the tone.In baseball 3 strikes and you are out.Be on guard,check ALL your groceries etc...b/c when you get home and call they will not help you.Good luck read more
