​The female pharmacist with the frizzy, burnt orange hair and heavy eyeliner gave me major attitude today. She asked if my card on file ending in [Insert Last 4] was still good to use. I pulled out my wallet to check, noticed it was a different number, and replied that I wanted to use the new card instead. With a sharp tone and a glaring look, she snapped, "So the answer is NO!" and rolled her eyes. I really don't appreciate that. I could have easily matched her energy and doubled down with a negative attitude, but life is too short. I truly hope corporate reads this review and addresses her poor customer service. read more

I like the layout of this CVS, reason is the open entrance gives customers the welcoming space, which other locations usually give the cluttered and stuffed feeling. read more

We have been coming here for over 8 years and most of the time no issues. This time the personality of some of the employees, and the the newer female pharmacists is unexceptionable... We arrived for a shot 20 mins before lunch break (130pm) and she was like we are about to go to lunch can us come back later.... So why have a lunch time listed if you are going to turn y away when u have 20 mins before lunch??? As I said we have been coming here for awhile and this new pharmacist is the only issue we have had so I will not fault the rest of the employees for the laziness of the one pharmacist. Normally a 4+ but she brought it down to two... (1) We were told to wait at the pharmacist booth just us in line and waited 11 mins (2) Told to wait in the waiting area for shots Again! Another 15 mins with 1 waiting chair (Archaea) was her name spelling may be off What happened to the last 2 pharmacist they both were very friendly and professional. read more

This is truly the shittiest pharmacy in creation. I will never ever go here to fill my scripts ever again. Not even in a pinch! Between filling scripts incorrectly with the wrong medication, wrong quantity and never ever having anything in stock when you need it. This is the bullshit I had put up with for years with this location, 8 Eden Avenue, Edison, NJ 08817. Finally my insurance told me I can go to another pharmacy and I hightailed it out of there, but not with a last kick in the ass from them. They wouldn't transfer my scripts! Well, a big FU to CVS at 8 Eden Avenue cause my wonderful doctors called in new ones for me. Sorry for the vulgar language but this is what I had to deal with for years. They should close this incompetent pharmacy down! And it's just the pharmacy department that is horrible here, because the actual store is a whole different story. The nicest staff and very helpful. But the pharmacy, they absolutely are the worst! Pharmacists and their helpers. And it's filthy too. There are actually pills all over the pharmacy floor and a thick layer of dirt on the counter above where the partitions to close off the pharmacy is. Nevermind never ever taking a vacuum to the carpet. This pharmacy is vile and disgusting just like the people who run it. I'm so happy with my new pharmacy. Go to a mom and pop place and get treated with dignity. Ditch this franchise! Zero Stars if I could, but Yelp is forcing me to give 1 against my will. read more

They closed down the entire pharmacy for 1/2 an hour for lunch, instead of taking shifts for lunch and having two people there to help people who can only come during their lunch to pick up prescriptions for their family members because they also have tight work schedules. If you can change your pharmacy to somewhere else, do it, they don't care about their patients. This isn't the only problem I've had with them. read more

Just terrible. We have been using them for over 15 years and each year it just gets worse and worse and I am finally going to find a new pharmacy. Last straw is that for 2 different family members, their automated system does not work. They never actually call your doctor when you request for them to do so and if they run into a problem you're not notified. When you finally get a person on the phone they act like it's your fault or your prescriber's. The automatic refill system stops working after you run out of medicine and they don't notify you that you need to tell your doctor yourself bc their system fails. Not to mention an hour wait during the week day to actually pick up something. They had 2 different birthdays listed for my son, names spelled wrong, and wrong location for our pediatrician. DONE! Maybe they are all like this, but I'm determined to find one that doesn't make me so frustrated! As for the store itself, the self-check outs make you feel like a criminal as you can't do anything independently without a cashier implying you're doing it wrong. read more

Just got a COVID test through the drive thru after experiencing cold/flu symptoms a couple of days ago. Wasn't feeling great but really wanted to get checked out. Had to wait over 30 minutes and there were only 2 cars ahead of me. Have been to multiple CVS locations in Union and Bergen counties and have never experienced such a long wait especially for just 2 cars, and at first I wasn't even sure if the drive thru was open. 2 cars behind me in queue just drove away. Understand things can get hectic so thought maybe they were understaffed that day. Tell the pharmacist I have a COVID test and another 5-10 min to prepare the kit. She asks if I had a test at CVS before and I say yeah but 6 months before. She then says to call if you need help and goes to her desk. Had a vague recollection of how the test went and had watched the tutorial video before, but since the kit had no instructions I took the paper out and looked at it. Asked the pharmacist again how deep into the nasal cavity and how long, and she gave a swift answer then went back to her desk. Well, found out shortly afterwards the paper I took out had fell to the floor, and turns out it's lab paperwork, so my test will probably not process. I contrast this to the test I got 6 mos ago at another location. The pharmacist had the kit ready almost immediately and walked me through every step with the bedside manner of a caring nurse. There were many cars yet he processed everyone quickly. At this location though the car in front of me was just picking up prescriptions and it took upwards of 15 minutes. The pharmacist wasn't attending to clients inside but just at her desk. Drove 30 min while not feeling so hot to get this test and now have to schedule another. I work In healthcare and know things can get hectic but you never assume a patient/client knows what to do with any medical procedure, let alone one done 6 mos prior. Very irresponsible. Now I know why this was the only CVS location with a test available within 3 days. read more

took off 1 star because sometimes it takes forever for someone to pick up the phone and come to the drive thru window, i understand things are busy but at least notify me that there is a wait instead of me just sitting by the window for 10 minutes. otherwise, this pharmacy is a good place to go. they do try to help and work with me on meds, apply coupons for me etc. your experience honestly depends on the pharmacist you speak with. most pharmacists here are wonderful and helpful. most. one employee who i appreciate is david, he is very patient, thorough and kind every time i go to pick up my prescriptions. thank you!! read more

Booked COVID test for 3 people, they say we can go any time. When it's our turn in the drive thru, the pharmacist said she can do 2 because it is going to be her lunch break! We asked if she can do one first because one of us is really sick, but she said no because we booked 3, and she can only do party of 2, and sent us away. What kind of service is that? read more

I had a prescription that I asked my doctor to send here, the pharmacist spoke to my doctor and incorrectly spelled my name into their database. I went to go pick my prescription up and they said they did not have a prescription ready under my name; I call my doctor up and tell him the situation, my doctor calls the pharmacy back and asks them why they didn't call back even though I told them to check with him, or why they didn't call back after knowing this was a medication needed for my heart condition. They apologized to my doctor, but my doctor requested they apologize to me and to get me my medication immediately because they had already wasted more than half a day. They did not call back or apologize, and I had to go back to the pharmacy after my doctor called me back apologizing for the delay. Very disappointing experience, and the quality in the staff's approachability and friendliness has greatly diminished over the years after using this pharmacy for me and my family. I have since switched to the local Walgreens, it's already a night and day experience! read more

Yelp needs to make neg stars for places like this. This cvs is probably the worst I've ever been to in Nj/NY. Horrible customer service, for just about everything they send you to another store. I have been here about 9-10 times bec it's 24hrs and every time I leave either empty handed or by over paying and always upset. They always have problems accepting coupons not just manufacturers but sometimes issues with their own too. Management doesn't help get customers issues resolved either. This time I came in looking for vitamins and they refuse to believe that if they are out of one type of vitamin that the same vitamin company has similar ones so instead of checking they just say they don't have it. I don't expect this from cvs bec in most store they have great customer service. read more

I've been using this CVS for about 20 years for my prescriptions and often shop in the store. Lately the pharmacy is horrible. always a problem. They used to greet me by name (before I would tell them my name). I am taking my business elsewhere. How can I trust they are giving me the correct medicine when they don't know how to use their computer system to fill the prescription. read more

Tried to get my prescription refilled via drive-thru. I was told that I usually get the brand name at $100. I replied that my primary MD always prescribed generic. I called my MD and he called CVS while I was also on the line. The pharmacist was arguing with him,the MD telling her that he ordered the generic, pharmacist persisting until he demanded that they fill the generic. 2 questions - 1. Why the pharmacist argue ? 2. I love this CVS, been going there for years after being said that I have to give three stars reasons are 1) in last year or so the service has gone 5 star to 4 star at the counter, 2) they changed from 24 hours to till 9 pm that took 5 star to 4 and the last 3) after the snow storm they had all Sunday and Monday to clean the parking lot please see the pictures it was a big mess not only that they put shopping carts upside down to close the drive-thru. I have no problem that you closed the drive-thru but please clean the parking lot, your business depends on customers coming in the store and by felling safe to come there not by slipping and sliding out side. read more

This CVS is really tricky to get to. If you are coming on 1 South it's really not a problem. The CVS is right on the side of the road. However, if you are attempting to get there from 1 North, you have to either take a crazy series of jug handles or navigate an especially terribly designed section of Edison suburbia. Their parking lot has some really terrible medians to prevent you from turning the way you want. These are routinely ignored and look like they have been driven over many times. The store itself is everything that you'd expect to find from a CVS. It seems clean and organized. They have a drive through too. It is also open 24 hours, which is exta-nice. It's probably the closest CVS to me, but I often don't go here because of how difficult the parking lot is to navigate. read more

Great location. The workers are fantastic. They just need more registers open at times. Other than that, great place to shop.

They changed over to regular business hours for the pharmacy and didn't think it was worth informing customers. It was a lovely surprise arriving at 10pm to find the pharmacy was closed. read more
