This review is specifically for the PHARMACY. First and foremost, the only silver lining of this place (and they should be ever so grateful to have him on their staff is PHIL. He's a great guy, a hard worker and the only employee in the pharmacy that is friendly). Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's get back to why I'm writing this review. Like many others on here, I fully agree that the customer service is horrible and I left this pharmacy because of the consistent TAMPERING with my medication. I've had the seal of my bottle completely broken and more than HALF of the pills missing inside. When I called the pharmacy manager to notify them of what happened, she had this accusatory tone in her voice asking if I was the one that picked up the medication. I told her why would I call and lie when they could easily check the store cameras and times to see if I was or wasn't the person that didn't pick them up? I don't have a record of lying to pharmacies about missing medications and I was clearly upset because it was a very important medication to my health. Then a couple of days later, I picked up another prescription, I get home and because of the recent missing number of pills incident that previously happened I decided to count the number of pills in this current bottle (which I SHOULD have been doing) but drumroll please.....MISSING PILLS ONCE AGAIN! It was off by 3 but still they're ripping me off. When it says on the RX bottle that you're paying for a quantity of 60 it shouldn't be 57! So once again, I had to drive down to the store and try not to be too harsh to the employees but I was visibly upset. I explained to them in the most professional and compassionate way that this kind of service we are paying for is absolutely unacceptable and I understand they're understaffed, overwhelmed, etc... but this type of thing can't be tolerated. Twice in one week? How many other people was/is this happening to? I don't know if it's just an error on their part or if they are straight up ripping people off and the employees are stealing. The tampered bottle I had was definitely theft. After these two incidents, I had other RX bottles with 1 to 3 missing pills because they're supposed "counters" had been off. So, in conclusion, if you continue to have your prescriptions filled at this horrendous pharmacy check your medications and count them out before you leave the store. Or do what I did and switched to back to another pharmacy (Walgreens) because I finally had enough of CVS after they completely LIED to me saying my insurance was terminated and asked me to pay full price for my medications (when in reality I found out from my prescription insurance company that CVS had a widespread reboot on their customer accounts and many of them had insurance information deleted. All the pharmacist had to do was just re-run my insurance claims for the medications and they would have been updated. Of course me as the customer had to request them to do this because if on their own, customer service and problem solving is just too much effort.) Good luck to y'all. I only had my medications filled through CVS because of my old health insurance who unfortunately forced us get our RX's though them. Ugh. Phil, save yourself and go work at another pharmacy! Or just stay at the one in Santee! This place is either going to end up on the news for a bad reason or burn to the ground from pissed off customers! Mark my words!

Have been to this location a few times. Can for a rapid COVID test. There was about 3 cars when I pulled up (as I was early) and another one arrived after I did. The employees/nurses were very quick and informative and I was on my way within minutes. Got a call within an hour for my results and was told my results would be emailed by end of day. Recommend this location for friendliness and efficiency.

One important tip: try your best to arrive before 2:45 PM--and honestly, even that may be cutting it close. On my most recent visit, I checked in around 2:40 PM and was informed that they wouldn't be able to accommodate me that day. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, though, and they referred me to another nearby location. Unfortunately, when I arrived there, the line was even longer, and they were unable to fit me in as well. Despite that experience, I still prefer getting my labs done at this Walgreens because the process is usually quick and efficient. Check-in is simple, and when timing works out, I'm generally in and out without any hassle. A few helpful tips for first-time visitors..... -Bring your photo ID and insurance card. -If you have a lab requisition from your physician, bring it with you. -If your provider submitted the order electronically, they can typically pull it up in their system. I've never had any issues receiving my lab results, and the staff have always been professional and courteous. My only suggestion would be to consider accommodating patients who have already checked in before the cutoff time, especially those who arrive before the 15-minute mark leading up to closing. It can be disappointing to complete the check-in process only to learn there isn't enough time to be seen. Overall, this is still one of my preferred locations for lab work because of the friendly staff and efficient service. If you're in the area and need labs done, just plan to arrive early and you should have a smooth experience. As always, you can thank me later!

Apparently it didn't register after I submitted my info but that's okay, I still had to wait about 20 more minutes. I was there at least an hour after my appointment. I understand they were short staff but it would have been nice to not have to wait that long. I have to say though they were very nice to me and I was very patient.

In general, I've had really great interactions with CVS employees. However, there's an extremely…read moreunprofessional rude pharmacist at this location. Her name is Anna Dang, as in, "DANG YOUR RUDE ANNA!" Originally she was rude to me on the phone, and then she was rude and unprofessional with me in person. Her smock and her hair made it look like she had slept overnight in both of them. She didn't have a name tag like the rest of the employees. I tried very hard to sympathize and empathize with her and cut her slack. I asked her, "Are you having a bad day? I'm certainly not trying to be a part of your bad day. I'm being very polite with you.!" She angrily said that she was not having a bad day. So I asked her, "So you're rude every day?" Even though I was being polite and she was being rude and uncooperative, she stopped communicating, completely like a young child. Thank God, there was a young Latina employee who came and helped me. She was extremely polite and helpful and took care of my needs. I told the young Latina that she was a rockstar and thank you very much for being polite and taking care of my needs even though The pharmacist would not communicate with me nor take care of my needs in any way. The pharmacist Anna Dang's behavior and appearance BOTH reflect poorly on herself and on the CVS franchise.

Is there a time limit on when I need to pick up a prescription? Ok it'll be 20 mins. Wait what is it? You don't have it? I came in to late? Or u need 20 mins to find it. Granted the only reason…read moreI'm giving this location an extra star compared to the CVS on Chase & Avocado- is because they treat you like a person and don't judge you on your prescriptions. I had a horrific nightmare happen at the other location, the 2 Arabic pharm.techs decided they wanted to make fun of the fact that I'm on a certain prescription(no I'm not a dirty girl or on anything scary), they called me some really harsh things in Farsi. So when I turned back and retaliated at them , it shut them up fast. Yes, growing up in East County you too can learn other languages, and when your step father was always in in Iran, trust me you learn alot more than just the bad words.. But back to this location, its pretty much in the heart of the valley , filled with crackheads, weirdos, and people trying to constantly re fill their xanax prescriptions and pay for it with food stamps card. So no wonder there is always such a long ass line . The poor techs have to deal with everything and then some. But for the most part if you drive thru the drive thru , you are handled with care and with someone who is courteous and nice. Id say there are about 3 nice people that work back in the pharmacy other than the pharmacist himself. But it must be the location to put them in such shitty moods day in and day out. Sucks, but don't take it out on someone somewhat normal like me! Props to the little gay man with the curly q mustache, hes always uber nice. If you aren't gay, sorry , you just seem it , and there ain't nothin wrong with that! CVS is always gonna be an interesting joint, especially this one. Note to you: Don't sit on any of the chairs , or sit at the high blood pressure machine, Ive seen people puke, pee and poop themselves in all of those chairs. Just walk around til your name is called . Good luck and feel better!
