Terrible customer service at their pharmacy. My Dr. called my script at 11:30a as im in town on…read morebereavement leave and left my meds at home (out of state). At 2p I called to see if it was ready and they told me it would be in 90min. Arrived at the pharmacy at 3:30p (90min as they told me to) only to be told they did not fill my script due to what they believed was an insurance issue however instead of calling me (as they had my info & I had already requested a rush on filling my script so I didn't have to wait until next day) they just sat around and waited for me to arrive. Within seconds they cleared the "issue" & now were asking me to wait 30-45min. After I told them the urgency of needing my meds ASAP, the fact that I was already told to come in at 3:30p to THEN be asked to wait another when I was literally on way way to my grandfathers wake is flat out TERRIBLE customer service. Period. ESP after I mentioned my situation she then said my order could be read "possibly as soon as 15-20min." So they CAN rush IF they feel like it. I left as I need to go be w/ my family and only plan to return before they close this evening out of necessity b/c if I could go elsewhere I would! *Do. Not. Recommend if you need any pharmacy services. 0/10.

Pharmacy manager thinks any verbal info provided by their staff, such as dates when medication will be ready , isn't something a customer can rely on. Also pharmacy manager and staff don't understand patient privacy and don't mind yelling out the medication you're picking up so that other customers in line can hear what you're taking. I'm surprised that a company as big as Walgreens hasn't done anything to train their employees properly and or ensure the quality of their customer service and basic healthcare-patient privacy guidelines. Unfortunately this type of business conduct will lead to their own demise and I would not be surprised if this place shut down if it continued.

For example, getting gas on the Army base, where everything is tax free, gas is still $2.10 (rounding up). So driving a large SUV, and having motorcycles that all require 91 (premium) gas, the savings in gas alone is worth the membership. Now then, I'm a single guy. No wife no kids etc. and, shockingly, I haven't the slightest clue how to cook. I still gotta eat though right? Well, at Sam's, in the back, they have a bakery, butchers and kitchen etc. So they make FRESH, a dish like chicken Alfredo pasta. Or Mac and cheese, or whatever .... now because it's a bulk buy kinda place, the make these meals for a "family". Most dishes are usually set up to feed 4-5. So I buy these freshly made meals, I go home, and I divide them up into individual glass, oven safe containers (that I also bought at Sam's lol), and in the fridge they go. Each night after work, I grab one, pop it in the oven, and viola - dinner for one! So one "meal", feeds me for about 4/7 nights a week. And the other 3 nights, I just eat out and use that as a break in the mundane and an opportunity to check in on Yelp lol. Now On to feeding my dogs. I have two 70-80 pound dogs that live with me. At Sam's, I can get standard Purina dog food, nothing fancy but not terrible, about a 55lb bag, for like $20. Yuuuuup! Now then, I do bulk up on drinks. I stay thirsty. So I love buying huge bulk cases of Powerade, water, and Diet Dr Pepper lol. Same goes for body wash, deodorant and shampoo. Tooth paste and mouth wash. These are things that don't expire, and are slightly cheaper when bought in bulk. So 5 sticks of Old Spice deodorant? 5 pack of Crest Optic White toothpaste? A bottle of Old Spice body wash the size of a gallon of milk? Yes please. And house hold cleaning products. TVs, Beds, cooking stuff, even clothes! Sam's has it all. I definitely get my money's worth here. And it's my go-to for almost everything.

Nothing like that. In fact, you will be ignored until you can make eye contact with someone who happens to walk by. My experiences there--there have been 3--have roused me to never come back. Like, ever. I dropped off a Rx on Monday that needed to be ordered. I was told it would be in the next day and I would receive a phone call. I made sure to give 2 phone numbers because I cannot go without this medication. No phone calls by Thursday and I show up for this ensuing fiasco: Yesterday's visit (Thursday) It took them 3 tries to get my insurance on file. They have had it in the system since February, but act as if I had no insurance and would have to pay out-of-network prices. Yesterday I came in for a medication refill that I had filled--by them, mind you--last month. They quoted me a price of over $300. I said that this was unreasonable because last month it was only $60. I gave them my insurance information on a piece of paper because I thought that maybe there was a mix-up in their system (which happens often, according to the store manager). Sidenote: Their outdated computer system does not take debit transactions so your payments could take weeks to process with your bank account. Finally, I spoke with a manager who explained to me that there was an error with their system, and it would now only cost $265. I became quite irritated because I knew that this was another lie, and told them that I would be taking my business to the neighborhood Wal-Mart where the staff will speak with you and not treat you as if you were a bill-fold with legs. Now this was quite an unpleasant thing to have to do because now I am rushing back and forth around town to fill a medication that should have been handled on Tuesday. After speaking with the staff at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, who were kind and pleasant to work with, I learned that McCrory's was refusing to transfer my prescription because, "It had already been filled." So now I had to go back to McCrory's to cancel the order and tell them once again, in person, that I want it transferred to Wal-Mart. When I got back to McCrory's, I saw that my insurance information was still sitting on the counter--where any customer with a pair of working eyes could see it, take the paper, or at the very least copy my information. The manager was apologetic once again, yet offered no help with solutions to any of the previously mentioned problems: not allowing debit, insurance not being stored correctly, inaccurate price quotes, and abhorrent customer service. I left for the last time. Never once having heard anything like, "Thank you for shopping with us," or "Have a nice day!" Needless to say, if this business was your neighbor, they would be the old couple yelling at the kids to, "Stay off of my lawn!" These people are snakes, and do not deserve your business. They claim to be a "Neighborhood Pharmacy," but do not care about you. What they really want are huge profits. Their in-store items are marked up so heavily it would be laughable, except that some people actually need those items. I mean, $2.75 for a half ounce tube of hand sanitizer is a joke, right? Do yourself a favor and find a pharmacy with a competent staff who will treat you with respect and decency.

I was on the westside this morning, and I was out of face masks, and this Walgreens was the closest…read morestore in finding them. Although the store is extremely clean, and I was able to find the masks, I must add that the people who work there were rude! They do not greet with a smile, a nod, not anything! I asked a clerk where the face masks were, and she motioned me to follow her. She then grunted that the face masks were down the aisle. When I got in line, to pay, I was rushed through by another rude employee. I greeted him with a "good morning " and he did not answer. Fine. He was obviously in a rush. I paid him, and he handed me my bag. He did not say thank you either. I avoid Walgreens, but I did not have any face masks with me, and the masks help me tremendously with allergies as well as avoiding Covid.
