I have been to a couple of CVS locations and the customer service seems to be the same at all of them. There is usually no greeting and no offer to assist. When you do ask a question or need help, employees often seem bothered or inconvenienced. The expectation appears to be that customers use self checkout, which is fine, but it also feels like staff want to interact as little as possible. While their coupons and rewards can stack and be beneficial, I mostly keep my visits to a bare minimum, due to the poor customer service. I stop in only when I need something quick because the stores are close, convenient, and small enough that I can get in and out easily. That said, if CVS does not currently offer new hire and ongoing customer service training, they really should. Improving how customers are acknowledged and assisted would go a long way for both customer loyalty and overall work culture. read more

They are constantly closing early. If you think you'll make it for one last item 10 min before they close, don't bother. We've gone several times 20-10 min before they close, with other people trying to get in, hoping we can grab one or two last minute items but they decided going home ten minutes early was more important than a couple more sales. We've also seen them wait till the minute they close to leave, but the doors are locked 15 min before. read more

This is a review for Whitney Lorigan in the pharmacy department. My daughter is coughing because of allergies so I went in the morning to get her medication. It was around 9:55 am and I saw Whitney inside the pharmacy area. I told her I have a general question. She told me only after she clocks in is when she will answer it. I was surprised that I can literally see her and talk to her but she didn't want to answer a general question. I ended up going and picking out a medication my self. When I went to the front area to buy the medication I told the cashier what happened. She was shocked that Whitney could not just answer a general question and was telling me to wait another five minutes. I guess Whitney Lorigan feels that she is a "pharmacist" and is very superior so she cannot answer a general question. People have to wait for her. Whoever made her a pharmacy manager should really rethink this because she has no care for people. People in this field are usually friendly and helpful because they care for people. Here's the interesting part. When I went back to get her name I explained to her I just had a general question and asked her which is the best cough suppressant and she said Claritin. I told her I'm already using that for allergies and needed a cough suppressant. I told her I bought the Delsym already she said that's good. Once again I am going to say whoever made her the pharmacy manager should rethink it. A pharmacy manager should have knowledge about cough suppressants, should be understanding and caring and should be able to answer a general question without telling customers they have to wait. This review is specifically for the pharmacy department. They have poor customer service. I've waited in line and was the 3rd person and they didn't help me because they had to go to lunch. They could've of told me and not have me wait there and wasted my time. They could've at least communicated. Also, they need to fix their phone service. I had to call multiple times in order to leave a message. The prompt keeps disconnecting and the automated messages keeps cutting off. When you're trying to leave your information, it doesn't capture it. The people that works here now are not friendly, they are just unhappy. The original first people here were nicer and personable. I was at cvs the other day and I was going to go get medicine for me and when I was going to walk out I saw a man with a handgun rob the place and the cashier just gave him the money and didn't do anything. And I said "aren't you going to do something" then he silently said no. Then the robber ran out I started chasing him to tackle the robber and when I was going out the slide door was closed and the cashier had locked it. A new level of incompetence and lack of customer service. Twice I have received a call from the pharmacy to tell me my husband's prescription will be ready at a certain time but it's not. Not by a long shot. I end up going into the pharmacy to sit there and stare at them while they fill the prescription. Two pieces of advice. First for CVS: don't make promises you can't keep. Second, for everyone else: get your prescription filled somewhere else. I hear Walgreens knows the definition of customer service. That's where I'm going from now on! read more

This place is horrible! I made the mistake of not changing my pharmacy and have been struggling for years. Not a single time have they has my rx's ready on time. I was just on a 30 minute hold and had to call back multiple times to be hung up on. The most horrible service and the slowest service at this pharmacy! They constantly mess up my prescriptions and not my medication is 2 weeks late. I had it transferred to Walmart and it was competed in an hour! Stay away from this place! read more

This is the most incompetent pharmacy I've ever been to. Unfortunately it's the closest to home so I gave them many chances. Prescriptions are NEVER ready when they tell you they will be. I often have to come back multiple times. They forget to order prescriptions that are out of stock, and if you call them they put you on hold and never get back to you. This is my every day to go to store to since there are not that many stores close by since we do live in an Area where there were not that many store. Usually I'm always greeted friendly asked if I have any questions but today I experience something or a gentleman was having a hard time trying to use the money gram machine and he asked the store associate for assistance. The store assistant not only told the customer it's easy just read the prompt and follow it but also give them an attitude and rolled her eyes and she was saying it. Followed by I don't know how to use the machine either sir. Then she mumbled to another store assistant literally I just sat there last week and show someone how to use the machine it was a total waste of my time. It doesn't hurt to be nice and professional and explain to the customer that you Are not familiar with the machine. read more

Typing this while waiting in the drive-thru pharmacy line.. it's been 42 minutes and counting. I'm at the window. The clerk just got on the phone and said she had a line in the store and will be with me as soon as she can. Does she not know I can see there's no line. She even had an attitude and told me I can come inside What sense would that make?! I knew it was too good to be true there was no line. I usually go in which is just as slow, if not slower! Nothing different from what has already been mentioned.. slow staff, staff that ignore you, rude staff.prescriptions not ready even though you get the text that says it's ready. Funny thing is I try to go at non peak times, store has few customers & still ignored! Definitely need to embrace another pharmacy that's not CVS - they suck! read more

If I could give it a zero I would. This happens to be the closest CVS to me, But I hate coming here and try to avoid it. But again it is the closest and I sometimes just have to come here and hope that it will be. Better experience. Unfortunately it never is. The store is clean which for the one star I gave it. But it is the employees there that are flat out rude, never help even when directly asked a question. They will let you wonder all over the store looking for something without offering any help. 90% of the time there is no one at the register then when they see you they tell you to use the self check out because it's just too much work for them to walk over to the counter to check you out. There are no carts or baskets available to put your items in and so if you have more than you can carry you end up putting on the counter which the girl literally rolled her eyes at me and of course does say a word to me other than the total. Of course no help out to the car, no carts to help carry it out so you have to take multiple trips in and out to your car. I ts not worth the rudeness there. I will for now on drive the extra to the one further down the road. Don't waste your time there. read more

Finally had to throw in the towel and move our prescriptions to another pharmacy. I feel bad for the staff. They are understaffed and overworked. CVS corporate isnt paying attention. I've sent emails and completed surveys. They add all kinds of services for Covid testing and vaccinations but not staff. There is no way the people who work there can provide good service. It took us a week and 8 calls to get them to transfer our prescriptions. They are the closest pharmacy to us but I would rather drive a little further then spend endless hours and trips trying to deal with this place. It couldn't be clearer that all CVS corporate cares about is the money. Best wishes CVS. We have other choices. If you are getting bad service, I encourage you to move to a new pharmacy also. My updated review calls for a 1 star deduction! It was my first time dropping off a prescription at this location for my dog. My dog was very sick and was in need of his medication. I was told by the clerk that I will receive a text when my prescription is ready. Well, I never received a text nor a phone call and by the time I wanted to go back in, they had closed! I ended up having to go in the next day after work in the afternoon! Luckily this wasn't a life or death situation for my dog, but it could have been for someone else! read more

By far the best CVS in Sacramento. Everyone including the Pharmacists are super helpful and they actually answer the pharmacy phone line! We moved away from this area but I continue to get my prescription filled and just delivered because they have excellent customer service. read more

(Epic review incoming) I've had good experiences with the pharmacists but one store associate had given me the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Joanna, being the only store associate in sight, gave me a hostile, disturbing look as I entered the door. I waved to greet her hi, and she did not reply at all. Silence. Her cold stare continued. As I approach the register, she shooed me away and inappropriately tells me to go back to line. But there are no people there? No one behind me and no one in front of me. When I respond to her, she appears to be outraged by my response. "You know what?" she says. She then proceeds to overcharge me and not ask for my CVS number. Intentionally overcharging me is obvious at this point. I ended up paying almost double for what I bought. I was having a great day before that nasty experience. Never going here again. If you run into Joanna, you are bound to get an unpleasant attitude, sass, and a cold stare. She may have been judgemental due to my culture/background in the midst of this health pandemic. Disappointed. Management, if you see this review, you may have to reassess your associates' methods. If someone like this is in management, this is horrifying. read more

As a rule, they will not fill a prescription unless you call them first. Its infuriating. My prescription had been ordered through them for FIVE DAYS. And not until i called them did they fill it. The worst part is sometimes they wont answer the phone, so theres no way to give them a heads up. Have to wait at the store while they fill your days-old prescription. I go to this CVS from time to time when I need to grab something last minute. Usually I have no issues, which is why I will give 2 stars instead of 1. I grabbed my items and went to check out to find a young man who was working on Friday 3/19/21 around approximately 6:50 p.m. at the line of registers (not the 2 registers at the entrance). He got off of his cell phone call with someone and started hitting on me while scanning my items. He honestly seemed drunk. Definitely did not make me feel safe. He continued to cat-call me while I grabbed my items and as I continued to exit the store, shouting louder and louder and getting angry that I was ignoring him. Very upset with the pharmacy. Picked up a prescription for my dad after surgery, & I was not given all of the medications. The pharmacy failed to give the pain medication (which is obviously important), and did not disclose that they were not giving it to me NOR that it was out in stock. I had to call back the next day and pry this information out of them only to be told it was on back order. Why they waited more than 12 hours to share this is beyond negligent. Spoke with the pharmacist on duty at 9:15am on 11/16 directly and she attempted to praise her staff for never having encountered this problem before -although she disclosed that the medication is needed by multiple patients. Apparently this is a running issue given the reviews citing similar experiences. They are aware and choose to do nothing! Immediate training on standard operating procedures & ethical compliance is needed. ALL INFORMATION RE THE AVAILABILITY OF MEDS MUST BE DISCLOSED UPFRONT. You cannot keep pertinent information from the patients you serve. I am baffled by the incompetence of licensed professionals at this location. Discipline needs to be taken to suspend certification. read more

This is one of the only few stores near our area. It's usually quiet, but consistently busy periodically throughout the day and evening. There's a couple of rude lazy store associates in there, but I won't throw no shade on anyone specific. None the less. I usually go in and out that store when I'm grabbing a certain item or loading money on my other card. So on a Monday I went and did my usual money loading per usual. I got helped at the second register ( they always leave the other register closed when ones open even when it's super busy ?¿ Anyhow once I hand the cash and card over I usually get the card right back, but on this day the new pretty female worker was working and maybe she was daydreaming or something because she forgot to hand me my card. I also didn't even notice that she did or didn't cause I also was hungover and ready to go. She didn't do it on purpose it was accidental I believe. So on a Wednesday I finally got to checking on my debit card because I had to use it and it wasn't there. I replayed my steps from Monday til Wednesday and came to the conclusion that I think the card was never handed back and is at the store. So I called the first time; got through fast. Lady worker answered, I said I believe my debit card was left there. She replied real quick said I'm going to check. Less than 2 seconds she comes back says "No it's not here I don't see anything." From her vibes through the phone I don't think she even went to check. (Apologies if she did) I just believe she didn't. So hung up a little upset. Waited 20 minutes to retrace my steps from previous days. Something is telling me it's at the CVS STORE. So I called back and now the manager was on the phone. I explained what happened and she was very nice, also so helpful. She asked me what time did I come in, which register, my description, and info on my card. Told me she was going to review the cameras (which is already going above and beyond) and for me to call back in 10 minutes, so I called back in 15. Her voice was excited yet still confused as in what's going on with my lost card. She says "You were right, she didn't hand back the card to you. I'm watching it right now and she puts it down on the register now we got to wait to see what she does with it or who she hands it to. So can I call you back?" I told her of course. She gets my number and calls me within 20-30 minutes. In an ecstatic voice she says "I got your card! I found it!" I was so damn happy because waiting for another replacement takes a couple weeks. So to her the manager the person who went above and beyond to find my card. Who has the best customer service money couldn't buy! I commend you because she is the only reason why this store gets a 5 star review from me. Anyways go pick up your prescriptions!! read more

I checked my cvs app to refill my medications. The app stated that the medicine was refilled on 2/21, today is 2/24. I went to cvs to pick up my medication to be told "don't believe the app,your medicine hasn't been filled. I will expedite you medicine." I waited 45 minutes for my medicine to be filled. This is the 2nd time in 3 months that this has happened to me. If this continues, I will go to another pharmacy. This shows very poor customer service. read more

This CVS is no where close to me but since it's pretty close to my mom's place, I come here to buy essentials with her sometimes. They staff are mostly friendly, the place is clean, and the parking lot is clean and the area is good b/c the store has its own lot and is not part of a shopping plaza. However, the prices here are higher than the regular retail prices at other CVS stores. I believe corporate sets the prices to be higher in different areas (generally more economically depressed/poor places, ironically and despicably). So I am more careful to only buy sale items here and being a deal seeker, I usually don't buy anything that doesn't have some deal attached to it anyway. =) Overall, 4 stars, hopefully it's still a good place to shop as I haven't been here for a while now. read more

AVOID this pharmacy. Traveled 20 minutes to get there. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of my appt for a simple flu shot. Pharmacist ignored my appt and was helping others. After 30 minutes, told the clerk to just cancel my appt, then the pharmacist offered  to give my my flu shot. I just cancelled an left. WORST pharmacy in the area. read more

As a couponer, I enjoy going here to shop. They hardly run out of products I'm interested in and if they do, a RAINCHECK will be issued. The staffs are polite (cashiers) but one of the managers (female) is slightly rude. Convenient. Friendly staff esp the pharmacy dept. Very close parking. It always feels like no one comes to this cvs, which is also why i like it! I dont like crowds! There's usually no lines so u can realistically go in, grab milk, pay, and be out of the store within 5-10 min. Tip: Sign up for cvs card. They email u coupons, which u can tell it to send to your card, and u dont have to print anything out. This visit i got 25% off of milk! Sometime I the #CVSpharmacy wants it's clients to die or suffer. Dropped off prescription for antibiotics at 5:00 pm. Was told 45 min but will get a text when filled. 6:30 no text so I call. On hold 40 min, finally hang up. Call back: automatic message says prescription will be ready at 9pm. 8:45 I show up. Pharmacy closed at 8pm (used to close at 9, changed hours last week). Now have to wait til morning and postpone my healing process. read more

This store is terribly run! Never enough checkers! Runs out of ice nearly every weekend. Runs out of liquor items frequently. Coupons are a joke (so many restrictions). The most annoying thing is that the employees don't care about customer satisfaction. One in particular, Shavaun, seems like the most miserable person in the world. Never a pleasantry, rarely makes eye contact, and walks away from a line of customers at the register when the only other checker is swamped. If she hates her job, PLEASE move on. Most people in the neighborhood only use this CVS location because it is the ONLY store in the area. Can't wait for the competition to come in and run these guys out of business! CVS Management had better wake up and think of customer satisfaction instead of only the bottom line! You will not survive when consumers are given another choice.
