8pm at 7-Eleven on 07/11. Same thing last year.
    Melissa T.

Today, on 07/11, we came in for their highly advertised "Slurpee Day," where each customer gets a free small slurpee. Arriving at 8pm, we were not greeted, and the store was uncomfortably warm. Despite the influx of customers coming in for slurpees, both machines displayed "Sorry, slurpee machine is out of order". A total of six dispensers. What are the odds? When I asked an employee if the machines were genuinely down or just turned off to avoid giving out more free slurpees, he barely made eye contact and continued cleaning, confirming they were out of order without any apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I had four disappointed children who had eagerly anticipated this special all day. Even if we wanted to buy a slurpee, we couldn't. The same thing happened last 07/11 when we came in at 7pm, with the same excuse. Frankly, I believe the owner is just being cheap, turning off the machines to avoid distributing free slurpees. This experience completely disregards customer loyalty, and we won't be returning to this 7-Eleven.

Having children has many benefits, one being that they keep you up to speed about trending events (events that most adults do not have the bandwidth to follow). On July 11 (which happened to be a toasty 110 degrees), I was elated when my son asked me if we could visit the local 7-Eleven to obtain a free Slurpee (the date 7/11 is National 7-Eleven Day). It has been decades since I last "celebrated" 7-Eleven day; therefore, I was curious about the kind of crowd that we would encounter. As we approached the parking area of this 7-Eleven we could see a line protruding from the entrance. My initial thought was that we find a less busy location; however, we observed that the line was quickly dissipating. Three minutes later, we were being greeted by a friendly employee who poured small-sized Slurpee's of the respective flavors of our desire. Sadly the employee was thrown off-guard by my son and I not only greeting her, but thanking her for the service provided. I say this not to boast, but to gently remind folks that we are never too cool or busy to acknowledge & thank someone who is providing customer service. Thank you 7-Eleven Elk Grove Boulevard!

You don't find too many 7-11s these days but I love running into them. Nothing like a 7-11 slurpee. This place was easily accessible off the freeway. Clean and friendly staff

I went to 7-Eleven for Free Slurpee Day, excited for a cold treat, but both machines were down with "OUT OF ORDER" signs. This isn't the first time--last year was the same story. It's so frustrating when they can't get their act together for one of their biggest promotions. The workers need to stop lying. They are just being lazy. This may raise concerns about the company. Bad service like this makes it hard to trust they'll actually deliver on their promises.

HORRIBLE. I was coming from a road trip yesterday wanted some taquitos and a Slurpee, come to find out THE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGER ARE NOT WEARING A MASK TO SERVE THE FOOD. They obviously think that with a plexi screen it's all safe, but me being a germophobe and havent gotten the vaccine just yet, I refused to get food from here because of this reason. But regardless, if you're working with food considering our world's circumstance wear a damn mask. I would've asked them to put on a mask before handling my food, but it was already in the rotisserie top to cook. This really isn't okay with me especially me knowing that I work in a restaurant or with food in general I'd want to make sure my customers feel like they are being fed HEALTHY and not contaminated food. VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED

Service is good. Ocasionally, the cigarette price is not updated. But I believe it is a honest mistake, typical small business error.

Don't go here!! They sell your credit card info. I used atm here then had 4 unauthorized charges. I passed info to fraud unit.

Once I entered, I could see why there were so many people trickling in, they had so many drinks I wanted to try! But I went with the banana matcha and vietnamese egg coffee. Both were delicious. I'm not in Sac much but if I were to come by this way more often, this would definitely be a place I'd pop into each time as part of the itinerary. Ambiance isn't anything crazy, its definitely spacious and a cool place to link up with friends or even do some work on your laptop. I would absolutely make my way back, especially to try other drinks!

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. Between the banana matcha and my daughter's excitement over the smoking elephant, this ended up being one of those unexpectedly memorable stops we'll be talking about for a while.

They are owned and run by Journey Church, which is why they are in a Church building and it gives lowkey church lobby vibes. The Coffee here is excellent, I personally love the one and one, which is an espresso shot and a cortado for around $4. Service is kind, informative, and helpful. My one critique is parking is pretty confusing. It's a little challenging to actually find the shop, but it's nothing you can't solve in 45 seconds if you're determined to get your caffeine fix.

Parking was confusing, didn't realize it was in a church and there wasn't really obvious signage from the parking lot that you're in the right spot. I had to look at the other review pictures to be like okay, I am here. Interior is cute and modern, but lacking that lived in feel I prefer for coffee shops. Service was quick. The coffee itself seems to lean towards biblical (lol?) food items. Think olive oil, dates, tahini, honey. I got the Tahini Einspanner because how fun, I can get some tastes of tahini and date but the whip and syrup didn't mix well into the drink despite me aggressively trying so it just lasted like a $7 plain latte. I almost had to bite the whip because it was so thick. Seems like they're using quality ingredients so the intention is there, the executions needs some refinement.

I love all the drinks! It's strong and not water down! They add more tea/coffee ingredients instead of water and milk. Perfect balance and combination with all the snacks. Super flavor and have Vietnamese influence in all their snacks and drinks. My favorite is the taro crispy rice cake, it's sooo good and something you can't find in other cafes/restaurants. All the drinks are definitely worth it and if you need adjustments with the sweetness they have options as well. For ambiance, have plenty of seating inside and some cute tables and chairs outside. It's a good place to hang out. The service is amazing, everyone's nice, friendly and super helpful if you need a breakdown of their menu. I am definitely coming back here. The all-around favorites are the mango pomelo and the Mango Tango (make sure to get it with jasmine tea and they also have a yogurt option if you like some extra tartness)! I think when mangoes are in season they also add fresh mango to the drinks which is a huge plus. I am also a huge milk tea fanatic and personally like my tea very strong without any hint of it being watery. My favorites are the Da Hong Pao and Osmanthus Oolong for extra floral freshness, both at 80% sweetness which is the perfect level imo for even a sweet tooth like me! Their boba is always cooked to the perfect chewiness and my only complaint is that I wish their milk teas had the option of coming in a larger size! The staff is always very cheerful and friendly, something that hasn't changed at all since they opened, which I really appreciate. The space itself is also very bright and spacious with plenty of seating and they also have lots of great snacks which makes it a good spot for hanging out. They also do lots of fun decorations and special events for holidays!
