It visually appears to be a two story free standing building although once inside an elevator does exist but was blocked by inventory. So really not sure if there is a 2nd story addition with customer access. Needed a price comparison for gummie vitamins and there were a decent variety at $22.49 which is competitive with some online offerings. The Fuel Up & Go display near the check out counter has discounts on several healthy and lower carb snacks. Free Flu and Covid19 vaccines with most insurances are offered at the Minute Clinic and a full service pharmacy is available. read more

The store is super clean, friendly employees, and many items to choose from. Once we received our vaccines, we went and purchased a free items from the store. 4/6/23 (Thursday) I arrived at the pharmacy at 5:10pm and went to drop off a insulin prescription. Pharmacy tech immediately tells me we are busy that won't be filled till tomorrow sometime. Told me to go to another location because they had more staffing on 1 federal! By the time she finish BSing me there was no line or anyone waiting. I did not want to argue with her and the pharmacist was standing right there over heard the conversation and did not say a word. This is a week day (Thursday) and it's 5:10pm and they close at 9 like the location she pond me off to which has "more staff". I will clarify this is not the regular young gentlemen pharmacist which is always great! If you are lazy and don't want to work and fill the script then say so. I did not want to argue with the teach because it wasn't worth my time but this review is. This might be one of the reasons why you are "short staff" because of your tech and prn pharmacist who doesn't care enough to correct the tech. People don't come into a pharmacy to drop off insulin and wait till sometime tomorrow. She also did it to another customer and told him to go to Publix. If I came in an hour before closing and there was a line I would understand. I went to the one on 1 federal and they did it in 20 mins and had a line. It's located in the 2200 hundred block of East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. In town for a couple of days, I visited twice for items forgotten while packing. Lucky me to score black socks and a toothbrush. Having packed 4 suits for a 2 day trip, I'd forgotten both a toothbrush and black socks. Service was friendly and polite, but the wait for a cashier long. On both visits, the cashier was helping customers in the photo section and not guarding the front cash register or door. The pharmacist that answered the phone was incredibly passive aggressive. I waited on hold for 10 minutes I called to see if the pharmacy had the meds I need so that I can have my doctor call in the prescription. The medicine I take has a shortage across the country so every month I go thru this same exercise. Call- until I find a pharmacy that has it Then I tell my doctor where to call it in The pharmicisf I spoke with was argumentative and said he would not tell me. How ridiculous! I just wanted to know if it was in inventory so I could get it called in. Did he think I was going to come in and steal it once I knew they had it? Was sad the point. Tl;dr: Go anywhere else!!! Got a prescription filled for antibiotics for my daughter. They neglected to tell us that they only gave us half the prescription, which we only discovered when we ran out. Since we were in a hotel, it costs $30 to Uber, but they refused to deliver it to us. After hours on the phone with them - some employees even telling us at points that they didn't have the other half - we were finally able to get the second part filled, and when we went to get the other half, they charged us another copay! This experience was incompetent at best and borderline malpractice at worst. You should avoid this pharmacy like the plague. read more

Someone should be fired and there is simply no other way to put it. I needed to rapid COVID test to attend an upcoming conference in Orlando ... whatever ... so I booked a rapid test at the CVS. Easy, right? Well, after arriving at the CVS for my "two second" test, I waited in my car for nearly 20 minutes until I went inside to inquire. The girl I spoke with inside didn't seem surprised at the lack of service, but she politely introduced me to the girl who was supposed to be helping me (Nicole). She was pretty darn rude, honestly, blaming me for not notifying her sooner. (Your guess is as good as mine as to what that means.) Well, I went back out to my car and waited. And waited. And waited. When nurse-zilla appeared, she walked up to my vehicle and said, "You can step out of the vehicle." Then she walked away and started talking to someone in another vehicle. So, I stood there. Well, she later motioned me over to a space under a tree where she planned to do the test. She confirmed the test. She took my ID. She did everything up to handing me the swab. Then she says, "Do you have a mask?" Well, I didn't. She says, "You need a mask to take the test." "Well, ma'am, we are standing outside and have just spent the last ten minutes going through everything. Literally, this is the part where I need to remove the mask to do the test." "Why are you fighting with me!?" "Um ... I'm not. I don't have a mask though." "Then I'll have to go get you one unless you want to cancel the test." "Why would I cancel the test? I've been here for over a half hour already." "You're being rude, sir. You need manners." "What? I'm not being rude to you, ma'am. I just want this test to be over." Oh, I could go on, but the woman was INSANE! She ended up giving me a mask, which I gladly put on, then was asked to take it off to perform the test (you know, science). But then her mouth just kept going. She walked away in the middle of her sentence and kept running her mouth about me to the guy in the next car. Well, I walked into the CVS to speak to a manager. The manager (Pia) was super nice, actually, but was helpless to do anything, as this crazy lady works for Minute Clinic. The manager went to talk to her, but when she came back to me, she explained that Nicole had canceled my test, so I couldn't even get the test anymore (as they don't do walk-ins). I could go on with the rest of the story, but this lady is a nightmare of a human. I can't even believe the behavior. I then spoke to Kimberly, who was just as miserable. I have reluctantly used this pharmacy for over a year now. Lately the customer service has just broken down. I get texts saying my prescriptions are ready then when I go to the store, they tell me it's too soon. Prescriptions that are called in apparently spend hours on their answering machine. I came hours after my much needed antibiotics we called in at first I was turned away saying there was nothing from the doctor. I called the doctor who told me the story so I got back in line. The pharmacist then piped up to say that there were 5 messages waiting on the machine and she had no time to get to them.. Now I totally get it's a busy time of year but I have an active infection and am the ONLY patient waiting. It's called prioritizing your work. I generally do not like the big box chain drug or pharmacy stores, but with the big boys now gaining exclusive monopolistic controls over the drug markets and the independents all drying up, one seems to have little choice in the matter. Of the big box pharmacy stores, though I'm loath to rate any of them with Four Stars and somewhat embarrassed to admit being a fan of any of them, this one, being the best of the bunch gets my Four Stars. Located in what was formerly a drop dead wonderful spot off Sunrise on the water's edge of the Middle River in what was formerly a new two story Borders Book Store, it's huge and has more than enough floor space to carry within it every single item CVS may handle. It's also clean, and though overly stocked, orderly with a friendly accommodating staff. Another nice feature of this store is that it contains a CVS "MinuteClinic" to handle such minor things as splinter removals, sunburns, flu-like symtoms, strep throat, minor wounds, abrazions, ear wax removal, blood pressure screenings, all sorts of vaccinations as well as a host of other such matters which can be a invaluable plus for the tourist or traveler in need of immediate minor medical assistance. The best part is that it is open 24 hours, has a huge parking area with larger sized parking spaces than most and if you walk around it, delightful views of the ships and boats docked on the other side of the Middle River. As far as site locations go, this CVS occupies one that I would consider to be prime, far better than any other CVS or Walgreens location. read more

I called the bank and they told me the pharmacy charged twice, and it is going to dispute the charges , but in the meantime the people from the pharmacy keep insisting that they only charged me once. I got a text saying I had a prescription ready for pickup. Problem was that I never ordered a prescription. Tried to call. After 25 minutes on hold I got in my car with my cell phone still on hold. When I got to the pharmacy, there were a couple of people in line. The broadcast message that one call was holding could be heard. After 10 minutes I decided to hang up to see what would happen. Sure enough the call waiting notice to the staff stopped -it was mine. So, I was hold hold for almost an hour with no hint of interest by any employee. After awhile another call came in and they ignored that one also. The line wasn't moving so I just gave up. Who know what prescription that I didn't order they were holding for me. BTW, while I was there another upset customer said for all to hear that he got a text say that his prescription was ready for pickup. He came to the store an hour later only to be told that it would be another hour before it would be ready. This is the worst, most understaffed CVS I've ever experienced. read more

I don't like going to the pharmacy, ever. Having said that, I've been to their minute clinic 3 times over the past couple of years and have had the most positive experiences. Sometimes you have to wait. Who doesn't wait when seeing a doctor? But the time spent with me always makes up for it. Prescriptions are sent directly to the pharmacy and wait time has always been minimal. The staff is friendly and ready to help. I even got my shingles vaccination with only a 5 minute wait. This time, I decided to do so because the reason why I come to minute clinic is so I don't have to wait forever at the doctors office. When I got here, there was someone being seen, along with a person waiting. The person being seen took forever and I was glad I was next since I had held my place in line. Once the person came out, the other person got up. The doctor said my name and I was about to get up but the other person said I signed in with him, I don't know what happened... meaning her husband. The CVS Pharmacy window (store #4201) 2240 E Sunrise Blvd. Ft Lauderdale, advertises they are open until 8pm. However, on a Friday night at 7:40, they turned me away. I asked "Why? Don't you close at 8?" The pharmacist's ridiculous reply was that I "had too many papers in my hand, and it would take too long" I advised that those were only the patient's Discharge Papers, since we had just left the hospital and only one page was the actual prescription for a small order of 12 pills. I pleaded that the patient was in the car and really needed this medicine. He still said "No, because it would still take 15 minutes". Which I didn't understand, since 15 minutes is finishing well before 8pm. Both he and his tech still callously turned me away and said I could go across town to Wilton Manor's or downtown location. I drove 2 blocks to the Publix pharmacy, where they gladly accepted & filled my order at 7:45pm. (Publix also advertises they close at 8pm) CVS needs to work on their customer service, especially when dealing with ill patients. If they can no longer provide a service 20 minutes before closing at 8pm then they should advertise they close at 7:30. In the amount of time they took rejecting an order and explaining why they couldn't (but really did NOT WANT TO do it), they could have used the energy doing their job... Unacceptable! read more
