If my insurance didn't require me to use CVS i wouldn't near this place their app gives one date to pickup a controlled prescription then you call on that date and they tell you it can't be picked up until Saturday so instead of leaving town on Friday you make arrangements to leave Saturday That morning they say 1pm even though you want to leave earlier, then they call and tell you Sunday I have plans to meet people and I only have two days worth and plan on being gone a week. I went to another CVS with my niece and she actually showed me how to check on the scanner thing they have in the store. Not only will you notice the price of the drugs skyrocketing with insurance (because that's the only way the company makes money) you will also notice that they do not care to treat CUSTOMERS with respect, knowledge friendliness. I paid $33 for my medication and CVS wanted $770 for the same amount. They chose to dispense the higher costing drugs. They are horrible with customer service, timeliness, friendliness. The store itself stinks all the time and they can't keep their air conditioning running so they had to block off the close parking stalls to run machines to put air into the building. The male pharmacist is the ONLY one I would ever trust. They put your health in danger and sit and visit while you're waiting acting like they don't see you. If you can go elsewhere for your medications, I highly suggest you do so. Ashley Mendoza does not care if she could possibly be endangering your health by not warning you of any issues that is flagged. The incompetence is astounding. No one smiles there. I've been a customer at this particular store more than a handful of times, and I've received helpful and swift service in the store and at the front register every time. Most recently, I've had to turn in a script at the pharmacy. The clerk or technician sincerely greeted me, and after computer input I was informed my wait would only be 15 minutes! Because pharmacies get busy like any other pharmacy, I gave some leeway returning after maybe 20-25 minutes and the medication was ready. Nothing to do with the pharmacy itself because every store is pretty much the same. I bought some joint pills for my dad. I had to return them because they contained calcium and that didn't work for my dad. I had not gotten a receipt so they gave me store credit, no big deal. But I noticed the refund was for 7 dollars less than I paid. We eventually figured out that I must have entered a phone number and gotten some discount. No big deal I got the correct joint pills with no calcium and they were buy one get one 50% off. Great so it should all work out. Except no. Now for some reason my number doesn't show up and I can't get the discount and ended up paying extra because I didn't get the full refund. I don't blame the cashier because I think she can only do what she can. But I ended up paying $37 dollars for joint pills that cost $28. That may not seem like a lot but is this going on multiple times? TL;DR I have no way to prove it but I believe CVS is not giving full refunds and pocketing the difference. read more

I have been trying to get my medication for over a week and every time I go in theres a new problem. The medication i was taking had severe side effects and withdrawals would be even worse. I was told if they got bad to go to the hospital... the HOSPITAL. Theyd rather send me to the ER then give me my meds all because my doctor didnt write XR? They were going to give them to me but then changed their mind and its now been almost two weeks and Ive decided to just stop taking the medication because I DO NOT want to have to go through the pain all over again! Great people great store. I have a 4 month old at home. It's been a long week. I work 12 hour shifts. I started my day at 2 a.m. with only 3 hours of sleep. After leaving work around 5 pm I had to pick up hydrocortisone cream .5 % for my son. I went to save mart, target then Walgreens. None had it. I called this location and the lady was very helpful and told me they had it and it would be waiting for me at the counter. I was grateful for the kindness and diligence of the employees here. I only use this location as a last resort. Whenever I go in there, no matter what time of day, there is NEVER anyone at the registers to help. It's honestly like a ghost town. I've never really seen people enter or exit the store either. On the few occasions that I have been there, it was to pick if cold medicine. I will only give it a second star because they do have a great selection of cold medicine at a reasonable price. Usually there is a sale going on, making it ultimately more reasonable. Covid booster on 11/12/21. To start, after checking in and waiting to be called, I received an email giving me verification of my shot. The verification email stated the shot was already given to me in my left deltoid and included a temperature check. I had not received the shot yet and nobody ever took my temperature. Further I received a shot in my right arm. Further, the documentation email stated it was my third vaccination when it was only my second because I had Johnson and Johnson the first time. My daughter also got her booster at the same time and had a worse experience! For her, she also got the email giving her a record of her shot before it was administered. Like me, they never checked her temperature, but wrote down a fake number. Pharmacist swabbed area near her tricep, but then stuck her in a different unclean area. When he put the bandaid on, he didn't even cover the shot entry mark! We question whether he gave us the right vaccine since he did literally everything else wrong. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in my area. If you need to speak to the pharmacy over the phone you are looking at least a 40 minute wait on hold. I have called 3 days in a row all at different times and got hung up on once and then put back on hold twice from the very rude pharmacist Laurie. Their pharmacy drive through is also a very long wait. I spent 15 minutes waiting just for them to tell me that they were too busy to do the drive through. I called to take my aunt in for her flu shot and was told to come in and they would be ready, I get there 10 minutes later and the pharmacist is at lunch. I was told it would be an hour wait, so I had to leave and come back another day. The second time I tried to take her in I called and they said yes they had the shot, We get there and they said they don't have the right shot for her. They thought they did when I called , but they didn't check so they don't. Very disappointed, would not recommend. I love it when the right people are working in positions where only very few were born to do. I was having a really bad week with people changing plans on me at the very last minute, and I was not in the mood for anymore disappointment. Two individuals from this store really made my day for doing their job: smiling and going the extra mile. I walked in and noticed Shoua, the only cashier on duty with two customers. She was finishing up a transaction with one, and had the other waiting in line to be checked out. She hands the gentlemen his bags, wishes him a great day, turns to acknowledge me with a huge smile, and on to he next customer. This is the kind of service that should be expected everywhere. Shoua demonstrated EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT customer service skills. I smiled and proceeded to the detergent aisle My intention was to utilize the promotion that was going on this week: Spend $30.00 and receive $10.00 back in Earned Credit Back (ECB) on PG items. This was my first experience couponing detergent and according to my calculations I needed to purchase four Tide and two Gain to hit the $30.00 mark, then on the second transaction I would use the $10.00 ECB to purchase two more Gains. However, the shelves did not have anymore Gain, so I waited in line for Shoua's to write me a rain check. The manager, Steve, approached me (as I was the next person in line) and directs me to the register near by. I explained my situation to Steve, he informed me that he has a shipment; but he would have to go back there to check. This man, literally sprinted to the back of the warehouse to check his shipment... came back with one box! He smiled the entire time. He was positive. He was eager to help. Wow! A leader deserving of the title: Manager! Shoua rung me up and noticed that I was below the minimum amount $10.00 in the second transaction. She learned that the shelves were empty of dawn soap so she too sprinted to the back to grab enough for me check out. What an awesome team! Steve and Shoua demonstrated professionalism and knowledge of their job in the confidence they conveyed. Thank you for making my day! I am disappointed in how the quality-of-service at the pharmacy at 6750 N Cedar Ave Fresno has decreased in the last several weeks. Waiting several days or a week for prescription fills instead of a day or two. Needing to call the pharmacy to get them to hurry up the refills but then they will not answer the phone even after being on hold for an hour. Being reminded about 100 times about the COVID vaccination while waiting on hold. Having to wait at time 30 minutes or longer in line to pick up prescriptions and then finding out they are still not ready even though you were told they would be ready the last time you spoke with someone there. Seems like some of the staff are trying to keep up but something is not right. It should not be this way. It was not like this a few months ago. I am wondering what has changed in the last several weeks. It really seems like you need to pull things together or you will be losing many customers. Probably already lost a bunch. read more

I was very upset with this pharmacy. My son had had an unexpected surgery that ended in removing his pain pump because of infection. This left him vulnerable to uncontrollable pain and medication withdrawals. This pharmacy was one of three CVS pharmacies that had his medication in stock. I don't really want to write out the whole fiasco but the long story short is that they were willing to fill the full prescription but only at full price which was 750 dollars where if they would have used good rx it would be 196 dollars. I called my normal pharmacist and she quickly found a pharmacists that was willing to apply the coupon and fill his prescription. It makes me think that maybe they were just too busy to take the time to use the coupon, even though I explained the whole story and what would happen and how my son would suffer if he did not get the medication that day. They were very cold and mean about it. This is not my experience with most CVS Pharmacies, most are very good especially the one at Target at Willow and Herndon and the one at Herndon and Milburn. read more

Sadly this CVS has a new pharmacy manager that could not have cared less whether she retained a 30+ year client. So I had to find another local, much smaller pharmacy to work with me. Thankful that my Doctor recommended I talk to the pharmacist and if they would not work with me,to find a small local pharmacist that would. The assistant pharmacy staff at this location are excellent and I will miss them. If you are having problems filling your prescriptions as written, talk to the pharmacist. If he/she will not work with you, especially with certain drugs, a good chance another local, small pharmacy will. No one should be made to feel like a criminal filling a legitimate prescription and no one should be forced to go through their insurance to pay for it. read more

My husband has the flu ...first the tech complains about the handwriting on the script..(we didn't write it dude)...then states it will be ready in 30min. @ 45min I show up to pick up his prescriptions to be told he called to tell my husband they did not have Tami-flu...and he says he called my husband... didn't call, LIE.. ( cell phones have called ID, bad excuse)So he doesn't bother to fill any of the other 4 prescriptions. I had to go somewhere else. I'm pulling my meds and my mothers as well as my husband's scripts from there.. I don't want to deal with him anymore. He alone drags the store down...and is not even semi-empathic... I am a resident of Georgia. I do, however, visit Fresno 1-2 times per year with minimum visit time of 30 days each trip. Been doing this for years. Without fail, the long grayish blonde haired pharmacist gives me a hard time every time I try to fill/refill my prescriptions. I am made to jump through hoops unnecessarily; calling my MD, my insurance and once she refused to fill my prescription at her whim. She just stated "I'm not going to fill it." I drove a mile to another CVS and my prescription was filled with no question! I'm telling you, this woman is terrible. One visit she gave me some BS excuse about the law not allowing her to fill my Rx. I researched the law myself and had to shove a copy of it in front of her in order to get my Rx filled. Before my visit this year, my home CVS pharmacist called this CVS pharmacy to try to head off any problems. But, no. She still had to show her behind when I went in by abusing the young man who waited on me at the counter. Then he showed her my new prescription which had three refills on it. She had to be in control, again, so she tells me if I have the first 30 days filled here in Fresno, I can't have the remaining refills transferred to my home pharmacy for filling. That is not true, btw, because I called my pharmacist at home to double check. CVS, this woman is giving your pharmacy a bad reputation. I can't believe I am the only one this woman harasses.
