Location: Walgreens Date: May 22, 2026 Service: Cosmetics Beauty This week I have a pleasure of going to Walgreens briefly due to have medical appointment right after. I was in there before and I wanted to pick up some perfume but I didn't have the time because I was with my kid. Parents on the go. So finally I have a moment to stop at Walgreens and pick up some perfume and some face masks and lip balm. They do offer a specials and promotions on different products which they put the tag or market at the store and you once they ring it up at the register the discount is applied and you pay the sale price. Overall I was highly pleased with the service provided however there was like a good 10 minute wait until somebody came and assisted me at the perfume locker. Walgreens Pharmacy at Chestnut and Shepherd has repeatedly failed to handle electronic prescriptions honestly and competently. On multiple occasions, my physician sent prescriptions electronically while I was physically present in the office, and I personally watched them transmit successfully. Despite this, the pharmacy staff pharmacies JAN routinely claim the prescriptions were "not received," only to acknowledge them the next day or after the doctor is forced to resend them. This causes unnecessary delays in treatment and creates frustration for both patients and physicians. The most recent incident involved an antibiotic prescription sent at 9:20 a.m. yesterday, with electronic confirmation and screenshots proving it was transmitted on time. When I called that evening, I was told it was not received. The next morning, I was told by G the pharmacist technician it was received "after hours." I was then explicitly told it would be ready by 1:00 p.m., before their lunch closure at 1:30 PM I arrived at the drive-through at the advised time and was then told to come back after 2:30 p.m., directly contradicting what I had been told earlier. No apology, no accountability--just shifting explanations. The issue is not being busy or short-staffed; those realities are understandable. The issue is repeatedly misrepresenting the status of prescriptions instead of simply stating that the pharmacy is running behind. This behavior misleads patients, delays care, and unfairly makes physicians appear incompetent--especially harming new patients who don't yet know their doctor's reliability. This is a recurring problem, not an isolated incident, and according to my physician's office, many other patients experience the same thing at this location. A pharmacy is a healthcare provider, not a retail inconvenience. Trust and accuracy matter. Until management addresses these systemic issues, I cannot recommend this Walgreens to anyone who values timely and honest healthcare service. read more

The only two people that know what they are doing is Van and Amy! Everyone else has no clue and if Van isn't there then you're SOL. I was transferred from Rite Aid as they closed down. Van had everything set up, notes in my profile explaining the issue and to fill both on the same day but now he's out for a week and my scripts won't be filled because she's going off of incorrect dates and no way to verify since Rite Aid is no more. She said she doesn't care about Vans note or my prescribers phone calls or notes on the scripts when sent in. Have to cancel my trip and go without until Van is back. She should be fired if they care about their store or customer. read more

I shop at Walgreens very often but I tend to stick to the one on Herndon & Fowler. Today I went to this location on Chestnut in Fresno and for the same item that I always get is a dollar more at this locatio. . My normal location still has the same price for the same item‍. Be aware of this significant difference on your items. I surly don't think one dollar is a slight one at all. Imagine shopping multiple items resulting in an extra $5,$6,$7 or so bucks. if I could give it a 0 I would. The Pharmacy specifically. Every tone I go to pick up a prescription there's an issue. Be it my insurance, when my prescription is ready, how much it cost. Doesn't matter. Everytime there's an issue, and they're never willing to help. Just say well it's your problem. read more

Masks worn by workers and required. It's clean and safe and practiced. Good music playing! Good deals everywhere! Diet Pepsi, Lysol cleaner, detergent, toilet paper and 2 sunglasses bought. At checkout the worker was very kind. Good service and store! Recommended! read more

The front counter staff are very nice. If you're going for photos or something, it's a fine place to go. The pharmacy staff are condescending, rude, and lack empathy on any level. Today.I stopped in to buy soft drinks.Canada dry/Sprite.For my wife.They have these specials.3,for a set price.$10,and some change.I get to the checkout.the cashier,rings me up.total $33,and some change.basically $10 a pop.I questioned her about the overage.She insisted,this was correct.I put the other two back.Guess their not paying,them enough.Watch your totals,people.Hearndon,and Fowler. read more

I come to this store often and typically they do not have what I am looking for. This review, however, is about the passport photo services. We came in here to get passport photos for my family done, as last time we did them the Recorders office did not complete them (now they do). Once the employee made his way over to take the pictures he was not the most polite person. He said it would take about 30 minutes and we told him that we had an appointment in about 45 minutes and he said he would try to hurry. He did get them done in about 20 minutes (thank goodness- or so I thought) but they were still 60 bucks for 4 of us. When we went down to the passport office we were told that they were NOT acceptable, as they did not line up properly and the agent showed us how off they were. So I had to pay for new photos at the passport office and was left with pictures that I could not use. Needless to say, I will be attempting to take them back and get my money back, since 60 bucks is ridiculous for tiny pictures I can't use. read more

Amy at the pharmacy is a very rude person. She needs to have some customer service courses or read a book to teach her people skills. She didn't fill our presentations because of an assumption that she made, when I called her she was very rude and refused to admit that she was wrong. I won't be using this pharmacy anymore because of Amy. Do better Walgreens, do better! read more

Photo department- I had the pleasure of being helped by a young lady who was insanely sweet and friendly. I didn't catch your name but I had placed an internet order which was ready for pick up earlier than promised. When I went home and opened the box I realized I was shorted envelopes. I called and thankfully the girl who helped me answered the phone and remembered me. She apologized (even though it wasn't her fault), and told me she would be there until 6pm. I told her I would be there in 2 min. When I walked in she had the missing envelopes all ready out on the counter for me. I was literally in and out in less than 5 seconds. Thank you so much!!! So, the only good reviews here are for the store and Van. I agree with this. The pharmacy otherwise has been horrible. The lady pharmacist lies to you! The girl with the faded color in her hair is HORRIBLE. I am a post surgical patient. I was told by one of their employees that they had my script and if there were no issues it would be filled. Mind you, this was the sixth time I tried to fill it. I had not heard back from them by 6 pm on a FRIDAY...so I went in. I was told to have my doctor call it in again... On a Friday really 6 PM really! The lady pharmacist tried talking to me through 2 masks and 5 feet away. When I said that I was sorry I couldn't understand her she rolled her eyes and walked away. The girl with the faded hair was smirking when I informed her that this pharmacy makes you feel like a criminal or a drug seeker. She looked at me, laughed and said no we don't. That's it and Walgreens... There is not one response to any of these reviews which tells us you could care less. So, warning to everyone... Yes, Val is nice but he is not there very often. Horrible experience and I don't like feeling this way. No pharmacy should treat you this way it's unacceptable and I am moving on. Even though my surgeon, who felt so badly that I was treated this way, offered to call it in to another pharmacy, I feel so horrible, and by this time my pain was better I hope everybody takes this in to consideration when searching for a pharmacy. This Walgreens is getting 3 stars, 1 star for Van, 1 star for Amy (the manager in pharmacy underneath Van... she was away on leave), and 1 star for Karis the shift lead in the front of the store. Other than that I would give them 0 stars for customer service rudeness and just treating their customers like they were nothing. This review is basically in reference to the pharmacy and some of the employees except for the above mentioned. I see here on other reviews that people complained about wait times when they were notified about their prescription being ready, well that happened to me twice. Each time I showed them the text and phone call and each time instead of saying, "oh , I apologize, let's try and get that ready ASAP", the response was, " that will be about a 30 mins"... Really?? The woman pharmacist is rude as well, and to think she is considered to be a medical provider... Wow!!! The only thing that she provided was an attitude and rudeness. The only reason why we stay here for that scrip, is because the customer service that Van, Amy, and Karis present... Those other employees should be retrained or let go. read more

People who work here are always friendly and nice. They carry my son's favorite Squishmallows and tons of other toys that he likes. They have variety of seasonal items for Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, etc. . The price is reasonable and they put out of season items on clearance sale between 70 percent to 90 percent off. The pharmacist Van is amazing. I take an uncommon controlled medication that I struggle to get covered by insurance. when I moved from figarden to clovis I tried going to the fowler walgreens and introducing myself and explaining and they completely brushed me off. I drive 15-20 minutes to go to this one JUST because of Van. he works with you, your doctor, and always kind and helpful. he appreciated me introducing myself and explaining and I always recommend. store itself is average and the rest of the pharmacy staff average, Van makes it 5 stars. read more

I walked into the Pharmacy 7 mins. before closing time and since I was sick, the pharmacy staff filled my rx on the spot and helped me locate the otc meds that I needed. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. They were more concerned about me feeling better than they were about closing the pharmacy and going home. It's the typical pharmacy store. The actual pharmacy has done us good for many years. It's rare for us to have a problem. The rest of the store seems to have a little of everything. Upon entering the store, a clerk greets you. They must be doing something right because they don't seem to have a high turnover rate. The store is always clean and pretty stocked. You can find a wide range of beauty products including makeup. It's my "go-to" for lip gloss! read more

Our pharmacy went out of business and moved our files to this location and ever since it has been a nightmare. Very poor customer service. Will say your RX will be ready in one hour, come back two hours later and they say another hour. This has happened three times. Three strikes and you are out!! read more

I have used the pharmacy for years. They used to be great. Don't even bother because they definitely don't want to be bothered.

I'd leave zero stars if I could, but can't. While businesses partner with other businesses, like FedEx, they're supposed to be mutually beneficial and of benefit to the customer. Today obviously was not the case. I have wheels, weigh 45lbs a piece, sent to this location due to it requiring a signature and I work. Not wanting to risk 4 brand new Tesla wheels was a no brainer. So imagine my surprise when I get a text from FedEx stating that the recipient has "refused the order". So I drive over there, talk to one employee who directs me to "oh she's in charge". The piss poor excuse was "we have other big packages and they were heavy". Inexcusable. If you are unwilling or unable to live up to the terms of your business partner, end the relationship. And as for the staff at this location, I had to bite my tongue as to keep myself from truly explaining how I felt about their logic. If that young lady is in charge, you have have other problems. read more

Walgreens on chestnut and Shepard is terrible. I went in to pick up a photo girl asked if I needed help I said yes, I asked her about the photo I received, she walked away. Drive through pharmacy is a joke , three cars in front of me 30 min later, I pull up I see the kid wit mask n gloves on , telling me to wait, all I wanted was quick pick up. He proceeded to spray chemical behind the glass wiping counters and the metal box , I kept asking for service he ignored me. Drive through is supposed to be quick attentive to the customer, but this guy was off his rocker with the gloves mask n spray, instead of doing what he was there for Servicing the Customer " Drive thru " not wait till I'm ready!!! 40 mins later. I went to pickup my prescription today and out of blue the pharmacy just hanged a sign says sorry we are closed today at 5pm, 5 hours before the regular close hour. when I called the store, no one answered the phone . what a terrible service! read more

Nice store, organized and clean. I could easily find the things that I am looking for. Pharmacy staff is decently approachable. If you need medicine, OTC/Rx, please consult your doctor. The pharmacist isn't a doctor and they can only recommend so much. As there are bad customer service, there are also ridiculous customers. read more

Wish they would change their policy of calling customers to tell them their prescription is ready until its 100% complete. Too often, I get the robo call that the prescription ready, then drive down there to find out only 5 of 90 pills are ready. It's not seldom, it's common at this Walgreens. Common courtesy would be to inform their customer when they leave the robo call that it's only 5 of 90 pills, not when the customer gets there. I DO NOT appreciate having to drive to the store twice for the same prescription. Very inconsiderate! read more

Friendliest staff! Very welcoming and great service. This store is very convenient and offers variety of products for women, men, kids. I love the fact that I collect points every time I walk or run. They encourage fitness. The app is easy to use as well. I've tried the photo copy few times. They're darker than the actual photos but great quality still. read more

I like to use this neighborhood Walgreens Pharmacy's drive-thru window. Very convenient. But...please keep the darn thing CLEAN. Staring at a stucco wall splattered with bird poop does not inspire confidence. Mr/Ms Manager: you wouldn't let any counter inside your store get this filthy. I don't know what Walgreens does to their employees to make them act so awful. I've had very bad customer service at different locations. They have scrutinize me, question me, and treat me like a criminal when all I did was shop there. I decided to return my purchases there because they were so crappy to me. Is this store in such a ghetto neighborhood that they treat their customers like criminals??? Seriously crazy workers. And the managers have been horrible at different locations. I bought two items using two different coupons and the guy gave me a hard time saying it was the same coupon. I had to argue and show him the coupons were different. Another time an item was out of stock and I asked for a raincheck and the manager said they weren't giving them out because a shipment was coming tomorrow and I should just come back tomorrow. I came back tomorrow and there was no stock but there was a new sign posted that said "no raincheck." So the loser just basically lied to me and made me come back for no reason. And he tried to cover his tracks. Go to Rite Aid or CVS! They treat you much better over there. read more

I had a fish oil prescription filled with this pharmacy. After opening the container I realized that they are all stock together and there was an strong bad smell also. I took it back to the pharmacy to exchange but pharmacist keep insisting it was fine. I had another half bottle of the same brand with me which was fine and did not have that bad smell. I asked him to smell both and compare to see that I am right and the product is defective. He refused to do it and said he is a pharmacist and he knows it and he doesn't need to smell it. After almost half hour of argument he finally accept to exchange the product. He reorder it and after few days I went and got it exchange. When he was doing the exchange he mentioned again that he is doing it only one time and if the exchange is bad I should not go back again. This pharmacist was rude, inconsiderate and only exchanged my product because he realized I am not letting it go. This is not a kind of customer relation that Walgreen should have. This kind of people should not be in charge of talking to public. He should be in the back room counting the pills. Even thought I got my defective product exchanged I went out of the door angry and dissatisfied because of the manner that this pharmacist treated me. read more

This pharmacy sucks!!! Prescription for icy hot didn't specify roll on or tube (didn't even know it came as a tube as always had received roll on), didn't know until I got home and looked in the bag and then as I had left the store they refused to exchange it for me.. They told me I should have asked for roll on, I said they should have asked what I wanted as there is a choice!!! Had to use Walgreens as was told to use them by workmans comp insurance, but in future I am going to use Rite Aid, always friendly. read more
