I want to give a BIG shout-out to the C Street CVS Pharmacy located in Galt, CA. After having questions regarding a prescription ordered by my healthcare provider, I contacted the CVS in Galt to inquire about my Medicare prescription coverage for the drug prescribed for pickup. I spoke with the pharmacy technician, Fernando, who helped me with my questions. Fernando impressed me with his politeness, concern, and ability to answer most of my questions. My primary concern was the price of the medication prescribed by my doctor, thinking that my cost would be lower due to my Medicare Part D prescription plan. Before I could ask Fernando about options to reduce the price of the medication, he offered to check for any discount programs that might help with the cost. Fernando definitely came through! The medication, which was initially priced at $199.00 for a one-month supply, ultimately cost me only $38.00. Thanks to Fernando's exceptional customer service skills and assistance, I saved $160.00, representing an 80% discount. Lastly, I visited on September 1st, which coincided with Labor Day. Both Fernando and the pharmacist on duty, Alex, were exceptional. I was particularly grateful for Alex's time and patience; he took the time to explain everything to me in clear terms. There's an undeniable joy that comes from witnessing employees genuinely appreciate and take pride in their roles, particularly in the dynamic world of retail. I went in to purchase press on nails and when I went to check out I stood in the line for a cashier since it had the security tag. Since the cashier didn't want to ring me up she told me to go to the self checkout and just rip the security tag off and give it to her. Why have security tags and someone to come unlock the nails if I could just rip it off to begin with? read more

Very disappointed in this place. My elderly father had to use the restroom. They had to unlock doors to gain access, totally understand. But once I saw the bathroom I just about pulled him out but he had to go badly. It was filthy! They should jackhammer it and start over. At least they had soap to wash hands. The wall dryer was turning off and on so fast my dad got upset. Then he went to get his flu vaccine. The Tech or Pharmacist who came out to give the flu vaccine placed the syringe on the rug and the bandaid on the rug. There was a table on the other side he could of used, but nope sat it on the ground. I am a RN and I can tell you that's never ok! We won't be returning. This store needs to step things up majorly! Do not use this pharmacy if you care for your loved ones. I am caretaking for my elderly mother who has dementia and she used CVS so I gave them a try even though Rite Aid is closer to my home. My mother was given a a strong pill that while at the doctors they told me she had to slowly start taking it or the side effects would be bad; the Dr said to start with half and then move up to a whole pill twice a day. The pharmacist who was a man told me to give her 2 a day with meals. I explained to him what the doctor said about starting with a 1/2 and he said that was changed and to take the full dose of 2 right away. I didn't give my mother the two I called the doctor the next day and she told me absolutely not to do that. I have moved my business to Rite Aid. I now understand why they have 2 1/2 stars, that should be a 1 or 0. read more

I've been shopping at the CVS in Galt for many years and I'm usually happy. Today I had a bad experience. I needed a medication. This medication is time-sensative and I had to take it today in order for it to be affective. I asked my doctor to send this prescription to CVS after I checked their website and saw that they were open today. There was no mention on the webpage of the pharmacy closing early. After I got an automated call from CVS saying my prescription was ready, I went down to pick up my medication. I arrived at CVS at 2:05 PM and found the pharmacy closed. The store manager told me pharmacy closed at 2:00 PM due to the Memorial Day Holiday. Pharmacy employees were still in the pharmacy, they had simply pulled the gates down so customers could no longer reach them. I explained to the store manager that this medicine was time sensative and would not be affective for me if I picked it up tomorrow. This manager could have gone in the pharmacy and asked them to send my script to an open pharmacy. Instead he only said that he could not help me. He did say he was sorry but he was unbending and would not help me in any way. I felt that he could have helped. I was unable to get a hold of my doctor to send this medication to another pharmacy. As a result I will not be able to use this medication. read more

I went in today to get the FREE Covid-19 shot. It would've been my first shot (key word WOULD'VE) but the guy working there actually REFUSED to give me the shot! I told him my insurance and he said he couldn't find it in the system. The pharmacist (who was very nice and the only reason this store is getting 2 stars instead of 1) told him to put it in as no insurance because that's what they have to do when it doesn't work but the guy outright refused to give me the vaccine. A vaccine that is supposed to be FREE for EVERYONE was refused to me for no good reason at all other than he just wouldn't do it. A global pandemic that has killed over 600,000 people in this country and I am refused a government mandated FREE vaccine. I won't come here ever again if this is the kind of service you think is acceptable. read more

I spoke with my doctor today who had attempted to send in and then CALL the pharmacy herself to get two prescriptions filled for me and was very rudely turned away! She told me that she was having an issue with the connection and hearing the person on the phone, and the pharmacy tech accused her of lying about being able to hear what he was saying! I will never again request to have another prescription filled at this horrific pharmacy. They should be turned in. read more

I had to goto the pharmacy, and lo and behold this little town had one. Generally I'm used to a 3-4 hour wait for a prescription even though its made online, but boy was I surprised when they were able to do it in 10 minutes! The rest of the store was like any other. read more

This place has totally changed over the years. It used to be Longs but is now CVS. Great new layout inside! The isles are cleaner and easier to move around. Before it used to be very narrow isles but now is more spacious! They also have great deals on a weekly basis and totally good buys too! The sales clerk are also very helpful and they know where things are so any time you have a question they are always able to answer it! Love going here :) read more

The More I go into the pharmacy the lower rating I've felt for this site. One incident my provider called in a prescription in. When I went in I was informed that my insurance hadn't responded and they had requested authorization which typically took 3 to 5 business days. Well two weeks pass by and I followed up with the pharmacy ( since I hadn't heard anything) to be rudely told if I needed my prescriptions sooner then maybe I should've called my insurance instead!! I didn't catch the little rude witches name because if I had I would've call corporate on her mouth!! The second incident I went in and paid a large amount as a co-pay for my prescriptions. When I asked why an alternative which would be cheaper wasn't offered ( because it wqa done in the qay past) was pushed aside because the person as the cashier didn't know and clearly didn't care! The third incident I called to see if my physician had called in my recent prescription but before I asked about my prescriptions, I asked the staff at the pharmacy who Was i speaking to. Instead of answering the rude ass repeated her script "CVS, we're offering flu shots!" I told her that's not what I asked. She then said Alyssa but I can't be certain if this was her name!! I was told my prescription would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrive at the pharmacy which is typical now there were 3 people ahead of me. Then I hear an older Spanish speaking gentleman complain loudly as he walks away to his wife "they're not going to have it (prescription) ready!! They said an hour and it's been over an hour!" The wife was told repeatedly IN English to get into line if she expected to be tended to. The elderly woman attempted to tell her she had been in line in broken English. I finally jumped in and translated telling the Young Asian attendant that the woman said she had been in line and had waited for over hour and refuses to get back into line because she's waited long enough. The attendant who had a University white coat on then asked who the prescriptions were for. I looked down on the counter and noticed the elderly woman had her ID and her husband's on the counter. I asked the woman who the prescriptions were for and she pushed the cards toward the attendant. The woman thanked me for translating for her and I returned into line. Did the attendant thanked me? No because i interrupted her unprofessional behavior!! In the meantime, this attendant is running around like a chicken without her head!! Keep in mind I was 4th in line when I arrived and the elderly woman was 1st Now I'm up next getting my prescriptions. The attendant is still looking for this woman's prescriptions!! She even asked the pharmacist to help her find it. There were apparently only 3 total prescriptions for that poor woman and they were looking for the 3rd one! Guess where that 3rd one was this whole time?! On the counter with the other 2 prescriptions!!! I've been in here quite frequently for prescriptions and each time someone is walking away extremely frustrated because of the poor service they receive at the pharmacy!!! I couldn't understand why there would be a new small private pharmacy opening just across the street with larger chains in town! Well duh!! No more small town hospitality offered here anymore!! Time to switch my prescriptions elsewhere!! read more

This might be a long one and I apologize. I have been in the service industry since I was 16. I have never written a review on yelp but my life and job has always been affected by these reviews because that is what yelp supports. I walked into CVS in Galt, where I have been living for 15 years, to buy some Christmas lights. The one right next to savemart so there is no confusion. My attitude was positive and happy with the decorating of my parents house in Galt. I grabbed the lights that were on sale, TY, and walked up to the cashier line where there were three people in front of me. Nobody had many items to buy and the cashier was on the phone doing double duty with checking out the person she was helping and instructing the guest on the phone. As I stopped in line, I recognized a brunette lady walking towards the cashier line that initially looked like someone that would help the paying customers. As she approached the line she sternly asked the cashier,(as she was on the phone and giving change to a customer), "How many customers do you have in line before you ask for another cashier?" The cashier hang up and answered 3. Then the brunette sternly questioned her in front of the rest of the customers, "How many customers do you have in your line?" The cashier answered 4. Then the brunette walked to another cashier register to open to help the customers waiting in line. The cashier that was initially helping us said that she would call for another cashier. The Brunette briskly said "Don't worry about it, I got it, and opened another cashier line which didn't really help because I was already being checked out by my cashier. I mentioned to my cashier that when the Brunette walked up that I had just stepped in line. Maybe the brunette (Manager?) was trying to help the customers line go quickly but I adamantly reject that sort of discipline style of management. There is a place and time to motivate and instruct your staff. What she did was embarrassing and self indulgent just because she has keys. I understand that the holidays in retail can be difficult but there was no reason to humiliate the cashier in front of the rest of the customers. Bottom Line. I WON"T BE BACK read more

I found the customer service to be quite poor. I was also left on hold for 45 minutes - first 25 minutes, then someone answered the phone and "asked" if she could put me on hold. I told her I had been waiting for 25 minutes, so she just went ahead and put it on hold anyway - another 20 minutes. Then they messed up a script and told me the "doctor said she hadn't written that script" which was strange since we had just came from the doctor's office. Turns out the pharmacist had not spoken to the doctor at all. It was an ill-informed nurse. When she did speak to the doctor it was straightened out. Except ... now it would be an hour's wait for the script, even though she had originally told me 15 minutes. And, of course, she told me what a "favor" she had done me by calling the doctor. Yes, it's great service when you correct an error and expect people to praise you for fixing your own mistakes. To be fair, however, in the past the service at the Galt CVS has been fine. Looks like every other CVS but it's terribly expensive. read more

great place to shop. staff are very friendly and helpful. i do most of my shopping at walmart, but if you need anything in small quantity this is a good place. the price is on the expensive side, unless you get it on sale. overall i am not giving it five stars because of the prise. great pharmacy and great store staff, helpful to the core. read more
