Donald helped me and he was amazing. He knew everyone that came before me by their first name and asked them about their lives. He was alone for the night shift and was getting ready to go home soon. He was taking care of the drive through, filling prescriptions, and managing the walk up counter and he did it with efficiency, knowledge, and kindness. The whole experience made me feel like I traveled back in time to a time when people knew each other and cared about each other. I was just traveling through but I felt as taken care of as the regular costumers. I was sad to hear he will be retiring in December, even though my hometown pharmacy is in SoCal. The employees at this location are so rude, they make up their own coupon policies to deter you from the use of the very coupons they give you and They claim they can't do over rides to fix anything. I've placed multiple online orders using coupons and they claim the items are out of stock but I've been able to walk the aisle and find what I ordered 3 times. So please make that, make sense! So again after my purchase tonight I'll be on the phone with customer service fixing what they claim they can't. Advertising customers get rewards for shopping and then refusing to honor such rewards should be considered fraudulent. *Just as expected customer service honored the coupon and added it to my Walgreens cash. So I have read through these and believe that the positive reviews stem back from their beginnings in Lodi. Currently, the staff is unprofessional and rude. They seldom have common medications in stock and the wait time is 3-4 weeks to get a common medication in stock. Then the fun begins. you receive a text telling you that the medication is ready for pick up. When you arrive, the say that it is out of stock but promise a shipment in the next 2-3 days and that a second text will be received. This does not happen. They confuse drugs which could be devastating for trusting souls who assume that the pharmacy got it right. If you use the store, always get the name of the person at the window or on the phone. Average wait time for a call to go through is 45 minutes to 1.5 hours and then a disconnect. Go elsewhere..... read more

If you get medicine prescribed from the Lodi memorial ER and your a 100% Disabled veteran with VA insurance have them prescribed your pickup for somewhere else they had me waiting 40 minutes after they said the VA insurance will be approved and they couldn't figure out how to bill it. If you are an injured worker who needs pain medication monthly, the Walgreens in Lodi is not for you. Like a ping pong ball you will be tossed back and forth between State Compensation and Walgreens for over 10 days and no one cares that you are without pain medicine. Calling early does not work. Stating the medication has been the same for many years does not work. Calling the adjuster? Means nothing to Walgreens. The clock is still ticking and the message is the same. "There is an insurance issue and we are still working on it." "How many days does it take," I asked. "They have to call us." But they did. "Oh, yea, I see they did and we are still working on it." I can't give this store 1 star because the pharmacists are good. I take an ADHD medication that has fallen out of favor by prescribers and can be difficult to get filled properly. This store finally got this part right. What I am complaining about is that the wait times are insane. To drop off my script, I have to budget the possibility that I may be waiting in line for 90 minutes and that I'll have to do that again to pick up my medication. That's up to 3 hours I have to budget simply to fill and pick up my medication. The line is never less than 4-8 cars deep (even at 2am - I tried coming during a less busy hour). Inside there's always at least 3 people ahead of you (at 2am) and during the day it's even worse - think 7-10+ people in line. I can't fault the staff, I really do believe they're trying to work efficiently and safely for the patients they serve. I do fault either corporate or store leadership in not maintaining adequate staffing resources to provide a better experience. read more

Love coming to walgreens with my mom. The staff is always attentive to everyone. The lady who usually works by the makeup aisle is always kind to everyone , she needs a RAISE ! She is always making sure everyone is doing well, and that's something she's amazing at . I also love coming here because they're always restocking on skincare, and it always makes me happy! I went to pick up my brothers medicine as my mom was sick at home recovering from surgery the pharmacist Jasmine tells me my insurance won't cover 2/3 medications and there super expensive, i got very confused because normally the doctor would tell me i have to buy the medicine over the counter but she specifically told me they would include it with the medication they sent him.. i had gone through the drive through so i ended up stepping out to buy the medicine. I went to the pharmacy line because i needed to see which medicine i needed to purchase and the nice gentleman tells me my insurance covers it. I am absolutely shocked that she could have mistaken that. When i went back she blamed it on her coworkers that told her to say that. Two things. One, I had an appointment for a booster covid shot only for them to tell us to wait in line and it wasn't the fist time Walgreens has done this because they've also done this when I went to get my first shot here. My appointment was at 6 and I'm still waiting to be assisted. This is ridiculous why even allow people to make appointments if Walgreens won't stick to the appointment time. Two, I kept seeing two pharmacists (specifically two white women I didn't catch their names) that were walking around with no masks on, touching their face, coughing into their hands, over and over and then proceeded to touch people's medications after they had just touched their face with no mask on and other surfaces with dirty hands. That's so disgusting especially with all this pandemic stuff going on. If you can't keep a mask on, don't work in a medical environment. That's nasty. read more

I made an appointment for a covid test at the drive up pharmacy. I arrive a few minutes early, wait 25 minutes for the cars in front of me. When it's my turn at the window the guy asks for my ID and says ok, hold on. 5 minutes later he comes back and says "sorry our system is down, there's nothing I can do". Are you freaking kidding me!!? Then why don't they call or text or email me that the system is "down". They have all my contact information. I feel sick as a dog, it took all my every just to get to this "appointment". I don't even feel like coming back in a few hours to try again. What a joke. And customer support, please don't respond that you are sorry to hear about these issues and appreciate my feedback and you will forward it on. I have read dozens of one star reviews over a long period of time where that is your response and apparently nothing has changed. So don't bother replying. read more

I used to love Walgreens. there are many things I still like about Walgreens but their pharmacy SUCKS. Ive been getting my prescriptions filled there for over 10 years and the past six months they've had shortages on my prescriptions and instead of them finding correct dosage of the medication I need, they've asked me to call around and ask about my Vyvanse which is similar to Adderall, so it's a certain schedule (whatever) medication. It would be like calling around and inquiring if certain pharmacies have oxycodone on hand. Understandably so, other pharmacies are very hesitant to disclose information about these prescriptions so this is made it more difficult for myself and my psychiatrist as I have to call Walgreens before my psychiatrist writes my prescription, and ask what dosages are available, if any. I call and inquire about my normal dosage I get put on hold and told they don't have it then I have to ask about certain combined dosages. Again, I get put on hold while they check for the last combined dosage I received only for them to come back and say that it is no longer available so the last time I had to a different combined dosage and my guess is that other people are having to do this as well so next month when I go to fill my prescription, that is absolutely necessary that I have because if I don't, it's difficult for me to function and stay awake. They also recently came out with a generic Vyvanse and Medi-Cal only covers name-brand Vyvanse so there's another issue. there is also been a nationwide shortage on this particular drug. I realize certain things are out of their hands, but then again, I also feel as though they should prepare for these things. I was also getting another prescription there and they change the manufacturer , so Medi-Cal will not cover my prescription there so they told me that I need to call around to different pharmacies and if I find one that uses the previous manufacturer, they'll send the prescription over there. Recently, when I spoke to a pharmacist from a different pharmacy regarding my Vyvanse, she was hesitant to tell me about it. She couldn't understand why Walgreenz would have me do this as their customer. She proceeded to tell me that the way their pharmacy works is if a similar situation occurs, they do that work for their customers and Walgreenz should be doing the same thing. Seeing the most recent news about the walkout & their work conditions I understand they most likely don't have the staff on hand, or the ability to be able to do this. however, I am still considering switching pharmacies due to these ongoing problems. Also, they only have one pharmacist on at night. It's not her fault, but I get put on hold put back on hold put back on hold put back on hold only to be hung up on eventually. I feel horrible that she's been put in this position to clearly have to do that to be able to get her job done. I see them as such an advanced pharmacy. I'm not sure exactly how they are ran, but One would think that with the patients or customers they have who are receiving the same prescriptions monthly that they would have them in stock. read more

I scheduled my second COVID vaccine days before going to my appointment at Walgreens. When I got there I waited at the pharmacy. Many pharmacy members saw me but refused to talk to me. Eventually I flagged someone down and asked about COVID vaccines, the member very rudely told me to go the other line. I went to the other line and there was 9 people in front of me. When I asked about appointments I was told Walgreens is not doing appointments. I waited for a good hour and a half to get my vaccine. Where to begin, my husband and I made an appointment for Sunday afternoon to go and get a Covid test done, We needed the results by Wednesday, and on their website it says 1 to 2 days. While there I had mentioned to the tech that gave us our test supply kit that it said "1 to 2 days" on their website and she said "well more like 2-3" She said a lot of times they do come back in a day so keep a good thought. I called in on Tuesday afternoon, and was told they didn't have anything in the system for us, that I should call back at 8 PM on Tuesday. Which I did. I was then told "call back after midnight, we still don't have anything under either you or your husbands name". I called back on Wednesday morning at 7 AM and was again told "we don't have anything in the system for you. Call Walgreens and ask them when it was picked up". I called Walgreens and spoke with the pharmacy manager, who told me "we don't have anything here for you either, maybe they lost it", I asked her could she please look into It for me because this was extremely important that we have a family member who has a serious condition and we need to know whether or not we can be around this person. I also explained that the reason we came to this Walgreens was because of what it said on their website, that results would be available in 1 to 2 days! She later called me back and told me she was "very sorry but it seems as though our test was lost". LOST!!!! Seriously? Our family member has a health issue that we need to be able to be sure we were good to be around this person, what would've happened if we were getting the test to take a flight somewhere? Not only did they lose our test but every time I called, I was on hold for greater than 15 minutes, I was hung up on twice, and basically was told too bad so sad... I was advised to go and take a test "under the tent by CVS" thatthey had a two hour to three hour turnaround time with no charge, drove all the way to Lodi to be told that it was $139 for said test- Beyond irritated, the store really should get their act together. read more

When I went in they had missed printed my 16x20 photo prints on canvas paper instead. I requested if I could get that instead since they were just going to shred it. The associate replied that they would have to charge me the full price for them on top of the price I already paid for the online order. So I said no. I would come back when they printed them correctly and not pay extra. Two days later I received an email that they were ready. I have been getting prescriptions from Walgreens forever and although they used to be extremely town friendly, it has now fallen into big box store mentality. The drive up always has a line of 5-8 cars, in that rare instance you may get lucky with only 2. Them inside is no better. Not to mention how incredibly slow they are behind the counter. AND if you're getting a Covid shot no need to make an appointment they accept walk ins SO even if you had an appointment you will stand and wait behind those who don't. The only reason I have tried using this pharmacy multiple times is because my wife insists we use it because it is open 24 hours a day. Actually they are open 23 hours a day due to an hour lunch at night. If you really need a 24(ish) hour pharmacy in this area I think this may be your only reasonable option at this time but if you are not picking up medicine in the wee hours I highly recommend you go anywhere else. The wait time is always atrocious, whether standing in line (no sitting area), in the drive through or on the phone. There are usually multiple people in line and several cars waiting for the drive through. This really doesn't sound very bad, but it seems they are always severely understaffed so each person or call will take approximately 10 minutes. They almost never have medicine ready after a doctors visit and prepare it on demand when you get there, which takes up to a half hour extra. This is true even if you arrive hours after the doctor visit. You can call to make sure they will have the medicine ready by a certain time so you can pick it up, but the two times I did that they didn't have it ready yet when I got there. One of those times I even arrived 3 hours later than I asked them to have it ready. I tried calling to confirm that it was ready, but after an hour on hold I just drove in to find it not. If you call you will be lucky to speak with a pharmacist in under 45 minutes and then you will likely get put right back on hold immediately with no opportunity to object. I have received misinformation on the phone multiple times, including being told my medicine was ready when in fact it was not resulting in my having to wait in line for 35 minutes only to be told they would have to prepare the medicine which would take another 20 to 30 minutes. Just an example. After a fiasco with my pneumonia medicine that put everything I've mentioned so far to shame and left me suffering for an extra couple of days I can say with confidence that I will never step foot in this store again. If you would like to save yourself a lot of time and hassle, please use any other pharmacy. read more

Terrible experience. When it closed without warning I called the pharmacy and was on hold for 25 minutes. I heard the pharmacist come on and the line dropped. I used pharmacy chat and they said there would be no problem transferring the prescription to a neighboring pharmacy. The next day I chatted again with a Walgreen's agent and they said THEY would transfer the prescriptions. I went to the neighboring pharmacy, waited in a very long line only to be told my prescriptions were waiting for me at the original pharmacy. At this point I am livid. I leave in a huff for the o.p. and wait in another long line. The pharmacy tech easily finds two of the prescriptions but the other three have been misplaced. The poor girl searches for 15-20 minutes until she finally looks under my first name. The meds were filed under my first name, I have an unusual first name, so it's an honest mistake, and she is the only reason this establishment gets any stars at all. I've transfered to Walmart's pharmacy. This is not the first time something like this has happened there but it's the last straw. read more

Then once we reached the front we were told to fill out a questionnaire to receive that vaccine. We waited an hour and a half past our appointment time to get the vaccine. This place is a shit show. The line is always long, inside and drive through. I have switched to CVS because the Walgreens is a joke. I just tried to file a complaint and the voice prompt said it would be in excess of 15 minutes. It looks like it a problem from the top down and how these store are ran. Fuck this place. I switched my prescription to being delivered to my house, but of course the delivery date is a day too late. I'm out of the medication and I need to take it today. I try to get it filled in the store because it won't arrive by the time I actually need it. Now I have to pay out of pocket because my insurance was already billed for the one that's being shipped to my address. I call to follow up on if I really have to pay out of pocket, and they say I do that it's an insurance issue. I say fine I'll pay for it and ask when I can pick it up. I'm told it's ready now. I show up a couple hours later, and I'm told I'll have to come back in an hour because it's not ready. Walgreens online pharmacy 0/10. Walgreens in person pharmacy 0/10. I would warn anyone that values their time and sanity to avoid this business at all costs. They are very inconsistent so I do concede that every once in a while the service is ok.
