You should update your listings on the internet to reflect the correct hours, or at least train your team members not be extremely rude to customers asking if you are still open. Great! Everytime I go here to shop around you always have great staff that go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. Being a regular too- I've gotten to know some of the employees that have been around awhile longer. It gives such a nice small town feel and that's what I love about small city businesses here in Galt- whether it's a large brand or a local business. Not only that, but Walmart here is generally the one place you'd make a stop to get all your shopping needs done. They have a variety of items that even some stores don't have here in Galt. Take your time to tour around if you've never been here. I love that it has a garden section too unlike one of the Walmarts in Elk Grove. read more

This review is just for the bakery ! I ordered a cake online a few days before the actual party , it was affordable and cute designs to choose from . I got nervous because I received a msg my cake would be cancelled because the edible image wasn't available, I called them back it did take several calls to get to someone , I wished I got the cake decor name she was very kind, and let me know she can continue making the cake without the image . This picture doesn't do this cake justice! It's so beautiful! And it was packaged nicely to be transported, which i greatly appreciated !! SLOW!!! Things clearly marked wrong and no one cared just wanted to argue! It's ok as I'll be returning the item anyway!

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience which left me feeling humiliated and frustrated. As a loyal customer for three years, I have always believed in supporting local businesses, but my encounter at this particular store has left a lasting negative impression. And I encourage you to shop elsewhere. When checking out at the self-checkout I was struggling with items ringing up at the sale price. One item was marked 75% off but the cashier yelled at me that it couldn't be that price and I had marked it that way! It came from a bin of the same items all marked that way. When I tried to tell her, she said I needed to go to the main check out. The breaking point came at the checkout counter to make my purchase. Instead of being treated like a valued customer, I was subjected to her and the cashier searching the items I was purchasing and counting everything completely disregarding my privacy and dignity. It was an embarrassing and degrading experience that no customer should ever have to endure. I understand the importance of preventing theft, but there are more respectful ways to address this concern without making innocent customers feel like criminals. Trust and respect are essential components of a positive shopping experience, and unfortunately, Walmart failed to deliver on both fronts. In light of this encounter, I will not be returning to this store, and since there are no other Walmarts near me I am forced to shop at a different retailer. I believe that customer service should be a top priority for any business, and it is evident that this store has a long way to go in that regard. So I've been living in Galt for almost 10 years and this Walmart has struggled since. The lines are often long, limited registers open and the self service lines are long. I recently did a survey post a visit and spoke to the team lead Kathleen as she called me once my survey was received. She acknowledged the issues and indicated they were short staffed the managers had to get on the registers and the machines were down in self checkout. I just think overall this has been an ongoing issue. Oh and let's not forget the refrigerators have gone down many times in the last few months. The ppl at the door only stop certain ppl for receipts which I have been stopped many times and the store lacks variety (ie. Cultural products or even blow dryer attachments) Lets not forget the African American hair products are locked up. Mmmm. Anyway, I try my hardest to not come here but it's only when in pickle. I would say this store deserves a solid 3.5 stars, but that's not an option!! This location has your normal every day stuff plus groceries. It's not as big as the regular super centers, though. It has the most popular ( best selling ) items. I guess they were trying to put the most in a smaller scale and smaller town. It's crazy busy on the weekends. It seems like the entire town shops at the same time on the same day! Lol. This is not just this one. All of them!! We were trying to get in and out quickly but that never happened. Besides the crowd of people, they were also trying to stock the store, too. What bothers me the most is the fact that the prices on their shelves doesn't necessarily match their register prices. I know it's a petty thing, but it's the principal to me. Sometimes buying 3 of the same item...I notice on the receipt when I am home that I was charged for 4 instead. Crazy but true!! The staff on the floor talked to each other conducting business as normal. Never got a hello or can I help?!?! Typical norm I guess. The registers are always crowded, but seem to move along steadily. The cashiers are better at smiling and making small talk to make you feel appreciated. Overall, small town needed this Walmart! Raley's next door is nice but expensive!! read more

Waited almost 15 minutes for someone to come unlock an item from the shelves before I left. I asked an employee if she could help me and she said she would call for someone, yet no one ever came. Management needs to prioritize having staff available for unlocking shelves, or remove the locks at once. This is also not the first time this happens. Will not be going back anymore. read more

We were right in the middle of this location and the Walmart in Lodi. Of the two, I prefer this one in Galt. Their shelves are usually stocked and their prices are reasonable. Staff has always been friendly. But, I felt I needed to relay an experience I had today (5/28/22 @11 am). I was in the produce department and there was a gentleman who appeared to be a department manager or maybe just a senior staff, training a younger staff member on stocking the strawberries in the refrigerated case. As I wanted to get some, I stood by waiting. As I watched, the man doing the training dropped an entire large clam shell box of strawberries. It popped opened and strawberries went all over the floor and also underneath the display case in the dust. Personally, I would've gathered them all up and either thrown them out or taken them in the back and thoroughly washed them. However, with me watching, he used his hands to drag all the strawberries across the floor and out from under the refrigerated case and into a big pile. He then picked them up and put them back in the clamshell container and put them right back up in the display case! He didn't miss a beat, he kept talking to the trainee and telling him how things are done and all I could think is that this is really what he wants to be teaching a new employee? Yes, I did buy a pack of strawberries, but I made sure they were very neatly placed in the box and not the ones he scraped across a dirty floor and threw every which way into the container. After seeing this, not only will I check on how the fruit itself looks, but I will only be purchasing a container with the fruit very neatly placed, and not looking as though it had been thrown in the box. If I could leave negative stars I would. Where do I start. Let's see I'm a native Texan. I had my last name changed back to my maiden name. They harrassed me and wouldnt let me buy my beer for the world series tonight. I havent had an issue like this and I drove here from Texas! So I had my old copy of my drivers license which had been clipped by dps when I got my temporary one. I still have not recieved my new one in the mail yet. Now that was my last straw with this Walmart. I have gone in there so many times and NOTHING IS STOCKED. ALL the employees just about will run into you unless you move out their way. Which I have NEVER encountered such entitled people who work at walmart... I don't get it. I reccomend driving to ANY other walmart or store. Avoid at all cost. This has to be the worst store for DD, Spark drivers and customer pick ups. This store marks orders as ready and already dispensed way before they bring the orders out. I waited 21 minutes for 4 bags and two cases of water that had been marked ready and when I called they said it was dispensed. So um ya no I don't have my order where is it? When you call to inquire the employees are rude and unprofessional. Everything is a glitch. When I did receive the order the frozen items were defrosted so you could totally tell the freezer item had been out of the cooler for awhile making the food potentially unsafe. They don't even try to problem solve. Just blame the glitch. read more

Shopping in store on a weekend means searching empty shelves for something that will work instead of what you want. Delivery is insane. I once ordered $150 worth of groceries and recieved $70 dollars worth of food because they didn't have the product advertised. When you do get what you ordered beware of rotten vegetables and expired dates. If you are missing items or items are wrong there is no way to get ahold of them, as the phones are rarely answered. read more

I love coming to this Walmart. But why so far in Galt? Because they're usually stocked, clean, low key, and the service is so warm and welcoming. All the workers are usually friendly and helpful. I live in Galt and went here because it was closer than Lodi. However, for a long time now they are CONSTANTLY out of items. They seem to never stock up enough so I just decided to go to the Walmart in Lodi. What a great place. They always have abundant supplies of everything I need. It's worth the extra mileage to not have to go through the frustration of never having enough stock on hand. Will not be going back to Twin Cities location again. read more

This Wal Mart gets four stars with no problem from me. It is very big and it is clean and well organized. It is not crowed,and as strange as it may sound it has a nice quite atmosphere, very different for a Wal Mart store. You know most Wal Mart stores are loud with kids crying and screaming, and most are usually busy. Chaos! We were really surprised with the outcome of this visit. Don't get me wrong it definitely was a good visit and we were in and out in no time. There was no waiting in the check out line. Staff was friendly and let me not forget, that they had stuff I've never seen at any of the Wal Mart stores in Sacramento and the prices were amazing. Cheap compared to most of the other stores, really cheap! I just could not believe how big of a difference the prices were. For what we spent we got more than our monies worth and we enjoyed shopping here. Without a doubt we will be back again. It was somewhat convenient for today. It all worked out just perfectly. Galt, CA store - Poorly managed store, inventory is not dependable, price labels are not accurate, and customer service on the floor is almost non-existent, unless they are stocking products, which then they make you feel like you are bothering them. Additionally, when stocking items the aisle ways are blocked and sometimes even dangerous to step through because of boxes and equipment. read more

I went to Wal-Mart in Galt to shop for a few things with my husband. We checked out on isle 11. I reached in the fridge without looking at first, to grab my husband and I a bottle of water. I looked down and this is what my hands touched. You know when they fill the fridge they see all that mold. I dropped the water and had to go wash my hands. I then let the supervisor know that was at the registers. Her comment to me was "I know it's there I'll talk to the janitors. " They could have shut the fridge down so customers like me don't put their hands in it. Disgusting! read more

The Subway is what's disappointing. Just left the counter, we waited about 7 mins and NOT ONE person came out. The counter was messy with even a piece of chicken, sandwich paper and the sandwich holder that goes into the toaster oven. There were ppl eating at tables and even one Walmart worker who saw us and decided it wasn't her problem to alert anyone that we had been waiting. She ate her food, glanced at us and got up and left. I usually love the Galt location more then the Lodi location, however, I feel the need to warn people of my experience. I will never go in the am again. Last night, around 9:00 pm, we went to purchase 1700.00 worth of clearance legos. It was for a charity event for kids that lose their homes to fires. The staff last night were amazing, friendly, and so helpful. However, due to the amount of my purchase, I believe my credit card thought I was fraudulized. They sent a text asking if it was me which I said yes. They said try the card again but it declined again. My mother in law tried as well with three other cards but it wouldn't accept it. It was now close to closing time so the manager said he doesn't usually hold items, but due yo all the trouble and the situation was not my fault, he agreed to hold if I came back in the am. I just left there this am and will NEVER go back. I asked a lady who was nice at first and then when I told her I was here for a hold, she got extremely rude and said we don't do that. It's not allowed. I told her a manager did it for me and out my carts in a utility closet. She wasn't going yo even look but I told her I was told I could purchase this am. She said she sees the carts but the manager is in trouble for doing such a thing. (Not my problem). She preceded to state that Walmart doesn't do this and that it's taking away from other customers. I don't know why it matters who purchases as long as they get their money. It was closed when we left last night and I was there early this am, so I don't know how this affected other customers. Eventually she gave in and I was by myself and said I would be right back god the second cart I had filled. And she said I can't leave it at customer service because people needed to be there. So I said ok, where should I put it for now? She said, I don't care where you take it but it can't stay here! I was completely appalled by her attitude. She didn't even offer to help me bring the carts to a checkout clerk. So unbelievably rude. And the check out clerk was really rude as well. I would think Walmart would want a sure sale (especially over 1500.00!). Had this not been for charity, I would have walked out. But I wasn't going to disappoint these kids! NEVER WILL I EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN. read more

This use to be an exceptional Walmart. Clean, organized and stocked. NOT ANYMORE. Additionally, someone needs to train the new shoppers for online purchases. We pretty much live at this Walmart. It's right around the corner from my best friend's house, so we're there a lot. Most of the time the store is a pretty decent Walmart, fair selection of products between grocery and other items. The only issue is no matter what time of day we go or what day of the week, the store has many times been poorly stocked (with a lot of empty shelves) or things are kind of disorganized or hard to find, etc. And service is kind of mixed, sometimes we get someone really great who is friendly and informative, other times we get someone very rude and really not helpful. There is also a Subway in this location and it's my preferred local Subway, so there's that. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean, which is nice. Usually pretty crowded but thankfully they usually have a good amount of lines open. read more
