The staff is very kind, helpful, and friendly. They keep the store very clean and often fully stocked. They are patient and informative. This is my CVS of choice and you can't beat being open 24 hours. I will never forget when they saved me when I needed my medication urgently in the middle of the night! What kind of management is this? The manager at this CVS has a history of being rude to workers--especially Grace and Manager Ned. Today they crossed the line. I've already filed a complaint online. If you want proof, check the front desk cashier camera from July 27, 2025 between 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM. No employee deserves to be screamed at or cursed at by a manager. This pharmacy reduced its staff. The staff which remained are real unhappy and it shows in the way they handle customers. Prescriptions sent by physicians are not filled for more than 48 hours. No one answers the phone. Impossible to talk to a pharmacist. Everything is on recordings. Letters to the corporate office result in a canned email expressing how quality is strived for in their stores. Not a good place to get ones meds. read more

I sticking with 4 stars for this CVS! All the self check out open. Puffs were on sale for 99 cents and Oreo's were 2/$6.00. The manager and another employee were helping customers up front. No one was complaining. Life is good in this CVS. read more

This place is running downhill fast. The shelves are mostly empty. I had a horrendous experience Saturday. I called to refill my wife's prescription and it said I couldn't do it until October. I called the pharmacy to ask why I had to wait 2 months when she needed the prescription. The woman who answered had a bad attitude, told me that we had gotten it already through mail order prescription. If we had mail order why would I be calling her? She talked very loud over me - wouldn't allow me to ask my questions. When I raised my voice so I could get a word in, she had the gall to tell me not to yell at her. Completely unprofessional and condescending to people. Thinks no one knows anything but her. Knows nothing about customer service. read more

I'm not sure whether the issue at this CVS is short staffing, poor management, or what. I walked in yesterday evening to buy some eyedrops and what should've been a quick in and out visit turned into a 35-40 minute ordeal. My eyedrops were in a locked shelf, but the attached customer service call button seemed to be broken. Actually, all customer service call buttons around seemed to be broken, so it was impossible to call for anyone's attention. I tried to walk around the store to find help, but the only employees were the pharmacists, who were busy, and the cashier, who was also busy. I was tempted to just leave then and come back, but I also have been incredibly busy lately and specifically made time to get these eyedrops; I didn't want to have to return another day for them. I ended up deciding to wait in a very slow moving line for the cashier, but was appalled when I got to the front and was told that he had to finish ringing everyone else up behind me before he could help. I said I would just leave (because really, at that point I wasn't willing to wait another eternity), so he gave in and came to check what I needed. It turned out that he didn't even have the key for the shelf and had to call another employee, so I didn't understand why he wanted me to wait longer in the first place. I was honestly doubtful that anyone would come since there didn't seem to be anyone else around the store, but it turned out that one employee was in the back room and was able to unlock the shelf for me. I did get my eyedrops in the end but was incredibly frustrated with the experience. Why have items behind locked shelves if clearly it's an inconvenience to both customers and employees to have to open them each time? Why have customer service call buttons if they don't work? I would not recommend this CVS unless you have time to waste. read more

Drugs and stuff... CVS - pretty much on every street corner by now - you know what they have. This location is huge- it must have been an old grocery store at one time due to the size. It carries all the usual CVS goods: Health & Beauty, household stuff and even groceries - just more of it. Double bonus - they have a drive through pharmacy. The only down side is that for a store this size they are totally undermanned - only one guy on the register yet there were like 5 register stations. Parking in front and rear. read more

NOT one pharmacy employee wearing gloves. The pharmacist who was pouring pills to fill prescriptions NOT WEARING GLOVES!!! Will NOT be filling any prescriptions here during a PANDEMIC! What is wrong with people?! When I told the manager he seemed unconcerned and just told me he would talk to them-Really?! When I asked the cashier at the pharmacy to put on gloves-after she just handled money and DIDN'T use any hand sanitizer, she gave me an attitude like I just asked her to do something ridiculous, like do a headstand while chewing bubble gum. Absolutely love having a 24 hour pharmacy minutes from my house. I always look for one(just as a safety blanket) that has a pharmacy that is 24/7. I have been using this CVS for YEARS. The workers are so friendly and when you go all of the time at night, the night pharmacists get to know you. Particularly Mohammed. He is so nice and always says Hi and asks how things are. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is because they for some reason took away the self-checkout. I am the type of person that likes it(I know that there are people that constantly complain about it) but there's usually on 1 register open(even during peak times) so it can take FORever to check out. Also during the night sometimes it can be hard to find someone to check you out and before you only needed to find a worker if there was an issue. I though that all CVS's were getting rid of self checkout, but the one in Bayside still has it so that's not the case. This has made me buy less things from here and more just prescriptions. Now accepts contactless pay as well as Apple Pay - yay! read more

Poor service at the drive through. No one is assigned to the drive through and you will wait approximately ten minutes before you are even acknowledged. It seems all the employees are filling prescriptions and no one is helping the customers. I have actually left the drive through, parked and went inside to pick up my medicine after being ignored at the window. read more

Scary, creepy and unfriendly. That goes for the people and the store itself. Yuck! They had a lot of strange things in here that I'd never seen. A special Coppertone sunscreen stick just for tattoos, for example. The cashier was surly and unhelpful, as when my husband asked if his Claratin was covered by FSA, she looked at him like he was an alien and had no idea what he was talking about. She was also quite frightening looking. The aisles are pretty messy and a lot of items covered in dust. I did get what I came in for, but the creepy, heebie-jeebie feeling I left with will certainly not bring me back! read more

CVS! The usual. This store is a mega store that is always open (24 Hours) and usually is on point. They recently made a huge upgrade which includes a self checkout (like a food store) and is not letting customers do it all, which is fast, I believe. I love the wait time for RX drop offs, usually if in stock ~under ten minutes and with the ease of a drive thru if needed. CVS is the best mega store out there and this one is kept really well. I can't comment on managing, but frankly I don't spend all my time watching them. read more

I had to do the legwork and call my doctor for pre-authorization for a medication that I had been taking under my previous insurance. Dr's office said that the pharmacy is supposed to do that. Lazy people. I'm going to switch, these people act like they have surgery to perform and are too busy for you when don't they realize customer service is everything?!? Don't even get me started on the one cashier policy the seem to have for the rest of the drugstore...what the heck?? read more

They got rid of all cashiers except for one person who runs back and forth between the register and the self checkout machines. It seems two in three people dont know how to use the self checkout machines and it really makes for a long wait at prime times of the day. a decent cvs in glen cove thats serves a purpose for the snobbish glen heads and the non snobby who are just visiting ( me). what i really like about this cvs is that it's part of many stores with a big parking lot that gives you acess to enter any one without getting in your car . this cvs has entrance in the front and back with the rear entrance has the free parking for all. it's a big size place with plenty of aisles and shelves and not messy at all , you just have to look for items on sale or it's about the same price as any other place including walgreens. the self service check out machines are in the front with the cashiers counter a ghost town so it's do it yourself with the manager and worker near by to help if machines have hiccups and they usually do. the folks who work here are friendly and helpful and keep this location clean. the girl who worked at the photo section in the back offered to help me with my bags which i declined . a good well organized cvs in glen cove that will see me again when i am in town. read more
