I was so pleased with their courtesy, professionalism, and competence. We were accustomed to a liquid oral med for our cat, and Glen Cove had to formulate it into lactose-based, dissolvable tablets. Thankfully, they worked well. When I read their package insert, it spoke of the art and science of custom hand-formulation, and how they train specifically to make the medications palatable to your cat or dog, with sensitive taste and smell. I have to say that Dr. Jolly, the owner of this pharmacy, is super rude, impolite and SHADY. Terrible attitude towards customers and got mad because I returned pills to my local police station instead of him. i stopped by glen cove chemist after going to cvs and walgreens who did not carry a hard to find ointment for the skin that my aunt loves to use and these old school places usually carry the hard to find stuff.it has it's own parking lot steps from the entrance and inside it's just like the pharmacy that you would find in a small town , it's neat , it's simple , it's organized and they have the ointment that will put a smile on aunties face and at a fair price .the folks here are friendly and answer any question you may have like what's good for a belly ache after eating a ton . glen cove chemist 4 .5 stars . read more

Shorted medication. Didn't say much upon pick up. When we found out and called, they said it was shorten due to inventory and told us to come. We came and now they can't figure out who we spoke to or where the notes are. . . Terrible. . . Waiting for them to call, track other employee down and figure it out. . . Great service. My dog had surgery out of the country & was released with several medications. One was needed longer than expected. The prescription needed was not available in the US for the generic brand which cost about $1.00 per pill vs the brand name of $63.00 per pill. Our vet recommended that we go to a compounding pharmacy recommending Glen Cove Chemist. LOVE having this pharmacy close by! Service is stellar, employees very customer-service oriented. If you're looking for a rare product you can tell them about it and they'll go to extra length to find it for you. Frankly, this is a throw back to what our initial chemists were meant to represent. As for filling scripts, I find their attentiveness amazing and very personable. So happy they moved to a more convenient spot for my family. I have had two dealings with them now... might be a coincidence but both times they lost prescriptions, had to have doctor call repetitively...cannot give you a guideline or window on when things will be ready...only tell you "they will call". Took a period of a couple of days in both cases to have my meds. Things seem to fall through the cracks that cost them the prompt service a larger pharmacy can fulfill. read more
