I've had so many problems with this pharmacy over time. The only reason why I continue coming here is because it's the closest 24 hour location near my house. I'll probably be switching to the 24 hour one in Gardena and have to sacrifice and make more of a drive. The first incident I remember happening was when I was picking up a prescription. I really needed to use the restroom. I asked a worker and they said they would meet me there. I waited five minutes and they never came. So I asked the pharmacy worker and she called over the intercom. I waited another five minutes and she never came. I went back again and she said someone will come to unlock the door. I waited another five minutes and my bladder was going to explode. I went back to her again and told her that I've been waiting fifteen minutes for the restroom. She looked at me, gave me attitude and FINALLY opened the door for me. When I returned to pick up my prescription, she retaliated by attempting to "explain" my prescription out loud. I was so furious because she violated my HIPAA privacy. I called to complain and they called me back two days later to apologize. She said they would follow up with me in a few days but never called me back. Other incidents that have occurred back to back were my prescriptions not being ready when they were supposed to. I have refills to be automatically filled every month and some are from different doctors. I called on a Monday and asked to make sure that my prescription was ready. They said no and took down information from me such as my doctor along with which brand I specifically needed. I called the next day and they never even contacted them nor did they even have evidence of the information they supposedly "made note of." When they finally called to confirm the refill, my doctor called me telling me they sent the prescription to the wrong office. I was so furious! I had to miss three days of my prescription because of them! There have been many incidents that have urged and continually push me switch pharmacies. Due to all these incidents, I make sure to call the pharmacy before I make the drive. I kid you not, I stare at the time each time I call and make not of how long it takes them to answer my call. The longest I have waited for them to answer is thirty minutes. The longest time I've waited after they put me on hold is also a half an hour. I hate this pharmacy with a passion. I have officially transferred my prescriptions and I urge you to steer away from this pharmacy as well. I warn you to save yourself the hassle. read more

Worst ever. Longest lines at any time day or night. 5 minute trips are 30-45 minutes because of the lines. One checker with 14 people in line and waiting for a manager to approve a transaction for 5 minutes. Why wasn't the manager checking people out? He is on break. Of course. read more

My wife and I walked in here to find some vitamins and a prescription she had placed a few days earlier. I had completely forgot that CVS doesn't allow Apple Pay and on top of that, they didn't even have the vitamins we were looking for anyways. It was very inconvenient that they don't allow Apple Pay and so I will be driving an extra 5 miles to their competitor that does allow Apple Pay. read more

The cashiers at the front are amazing! Especially Marvin and Elsy but the pharmacy is ridiculous. They have no urgency to help people waiting in line. I literally waited in line for 20 minutes while there were 6 ladies working behind the counter and only one working the register and another as slow as molasses helping the drive thru cars. CVS should really change how a pharmacy is run. read more

Had to wait over 30 min for a mistake the pharmacy made. Never apologized just had us jumping back and forth from different lines. So disappointed. We then went to the cvs check out line to buy a few items and manager kept walking away from us to talk to a different customer. Worst customer service ever.....again and again. I just had foot surgery and was in a lot of pain. The pharmacy was extremely rude, and unconcerned that they didn't have the medication. THEY didn't even offer to order the medication and told me I can try another CVS . I can't drive remember! Then I felt like I was being "stereotyped", CVS , how can you tell a customer two totally different stories within ten mins on why you don't have the prescription in stock. if I can only give them 0 rating I will!! my horrible experience is with this Indian guy name Sagar he is a rude pharmacy technician who doesn't know how to acknowledge customer in good manners. when I was on the line he didn't bother to say hi or how can I help you he just promptly says its going to be 2 hours and he looks frustrated and then I ask him to please call my doctor to change my prescription to something covered and he respond yes but knowing after long 4 hours he just faxed it and never got any answer from the doctors office and they were close.it took 2 days before they change my prescription to something that is covered. I don't know why they hired him but he is inconsistent, rude, lazy, unfriendly. Maybe he needs more training. read more

Worst cvs ever! Never in my life I had to wait 6 hours for my son medicine that I went at 2PM! To drop it off it at 7 pm and it still wasn't ready wtf! I am at my wits end at this time with CVS Pharmacy on Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach. I have been friendly and loyal to this pharmacy for 5 years or more but for the past week or so pharmacy technician Debbie has been especially rude negligent and uncaring to the point where I had to reach her district manager and pharmacy manager and now the CEO of CVS pharmacies Larry Merlo. I have had enough of this I absolutely do not recommend this unfriendly pharmacy to anyone of you who needs serious and compassionate assistance to get your medications. Their pharmacy has the worst customer service ever, seriously they have no clue what they are doing. The manager is the worst. She could care less that my mother needed her heart medication, which she takes daily, which they didn't ave after a month of having dropped off the prescription, so it could be ready when she ran out. She did not have an explanation as to why it wasn't ready, she said she did not have the medication and that the prescription had not even been processed so that the medication would arrive to their location. They only had a generic brand which they only had ten pills of and that they promised that after ten days when my mother ran out they would have her medication. We went back ten days later after receiving a call the day before saying her medication was available for pick up. We get there and speak to the same manager and ask for her medication. The manager goes to look and she comes back and says nope we have not ordered her medication, nor is it ready. She said she could process our prescription at another CVS and I said no, my mom could seriously become sick because of the baffling way you are running the pharmacy. I decided to get a new prescription from my mothers doctor and fill it somewhere else, which was filled within 24 hours. Never filling a prescription here again. The CVS store has everything you need, but is always short staffed with one cashier most of the time, maximum two, since a lot of people frequent this location, it is always busy and has long lines, waited up to 45 minutes in line. Minimum fifteen. The thing that really annoys me is that there is always a person asking for donations or selling fundraiser candy or something when you leave the store. And I sometimes go to another CVS just because of this. Because I do not want to have to give away an extra two to ten dollars. I already donate enough. read more

There needs to be a way to give 0 stars... Mostly everyone here is awesome except for new pharmacy manager Howard Lee. He is incompetent, has 0 customer service skills and I don't know how he even qualified let alone became pharmacy manager. I encountered Howard initially over the phone where he was very aggressive and argumentative. I called to find out what prescription was ready for me and because I called in on the store line he would not help me. He proceeded to yell and say he was the manager. Well since he was the manager I expected a lot more from him. I sure didn't expect him to hang up in my face but he did. After he hung up i decided I would go into the store because I still did not know what prescription was ready for me. When I arrived I dealt with one of the techs who was very pleasant. I asked for the District managers number as Howard searched for it he made negative remarks about me under his breath to which I replied I'm sorry what did you say? He verbally stated I can get out of the store and called me ignorant. He also made a statement that was very racially profiling.. In all my years of coming to this store I have NEVER been so disrespected in my life.. I immediately called the district manager and am awaiting a call back. I would rather wait for my prescription to come in the mail than to continue to go into this store. read more

I just visited this pharmacy after calling about 20 locations to fill my prescription. Alex the pharmacy technician answered my phone call and helped me more than any other pharmacy in the area. I needed a specific dose of a certain prescription- he looked up the generic kind and saw that mine was readily available. He gave me the best advice, made sure everything he gave me was accurate in a timely manner and went beyond the call of duty when it came to customer service. Even though I am not in this area a lot, I'll make sure to visit this CVS for my essentials whenever I can! Thanks, Alex! read more

If you are thinking of filling your prescription here, please read this important warning. This pharmacy is horrible and makes many mistakes. Strike #1: They wrote the instruction wrong - take twice daily versus once daily. Big mistake. Strike #2: They gave me the wrong drug! Pharmacist called and said "well, they sound alike". Medication errors happen because of similar sound or spelling. It's the pharmacist's responsibility to check this!!! Strike #: I arrived to pick-up the correct medication and asked what should I do since I already started the previous pack that I returned. The pharmacist asked me why was I switching drug and didn't know the answer to my question! Her coworker, another pharmacist had to come and assist. On top of that, the first pharmacist tried to tell me both drugs were the same, however, the incorrect one that was dispensed had an extra ingredient that was NOT prescribed and NOT needed. I cannot take a medication that was not prescribed to me! She is not a physician. She needs her license revoked for patient safety. Never, ever going back here again. I plan to report them. No apology from any of the pharmacists at all. read more

Worst ever! My doctor faxed prescription twice, and they said they never rec'd it. I went to my doctor's office and they showed me fax confirmation. Then I faxed it myself. Again, CVS said they never rec'd it. When I raised my voice...they said they did receive it but only half of the fax was clear. Come on now....out of three faxes, you tell me that you only received half of the fax? BS! Then I was told that they did receive the prescription, but restocked it because it was never picked up. BS again!! I did go to pick up and they told me they never got it. Absolutely disgusted that they don't have the customer respect. They lie! There are lots of pharmacies out there, and guess what...I'm changing from CVS to a privately owned pharmacy that will take better care of me. They also make errors in their pricing. Complete incompetence. This is the third time I came to pick pic up photos for an order I placed and the only response I got was " the system is down" even from management. (no ETA of when it'll be fixed; no sorry we failed to notify you your services wont be met) I called the CVS Help desk and wouldn't you know it they have control to call in and notify CVS.com that their system is down so that orders aren't placed there, yet they have continuously chosen not to do so. So beyond frustrated, my patience has wore too thin. I will never return to this CVS. read more

THIS PHARMACY IS A MESS. I have twice received the wrong topical treatment because they did not read my prescription correctly. The first time I received a cream rather than a gel, making my acne worse as a teen, severely lowering my self esteem. Then recently I received a gel rather than a solution, but being wiser now, I realized the mistake right away. I told them I believed it was wrong, but the pharmacist insisted it was right. I called my doctor when I got into my car and they verified it was wrong. So I called the pharmacy, and they had the nerve to tell me a gel and a solution were the same thing! Clearly they are not. So I called my doctor, who was now angry as well, so they called the pharmacy themselves, then called me back to let me know that the pharmacy said to bring in the wrong item and they will exchange it. So I come into the pharmacy, and they have no idea what I'm talking about! Talk about a lack of communication. So they say they have to call my doctor again. Now here I am waiting AGAIN in the lobby, despite having been called that my prescription was ready. Oh and I believe they forgot to order my other item because I came in on a Wednesday, was told it'd be in the following Monday, but when I came in Monday (after being told that my prescription was ready, same day I received the incorrect item) they said "oh we don't seem to have this item, we have to order it." I was like WHAT, it was ordered last Wednesday?? Apparently not. Camille was very nice today, I feel sorry that she must work with other incompetent people. If this was a one time thing, I could blame it being busy or something. But having constant bad service over the years, I think this is a serious problem. Time to switch to another CVS. read more
