I rarely use it as a pharmacy, but rather to pick up some small items / online orders. You can generally find what you need whether it is supplements or some small things for the household. While it is more expensive than a typical grocery store, CVS frequently has coupons in the app, so they offset any markups. In general, the store is clean and I've never had a bad experience with their employees. Parking is also easy. The only thing is that this store looks a bit dated, and could use a bit of renovation. read more

I hate to leave this review because the employees are really nice, but do NOT go here for your passport photos. It took 45 minutes to get them to print one photo (no line) and it was ultimately rejected by the Dept. of State because of it's poor quality and shadows. For a long time I've put up with the inconvenience of this location not having a drive through because the service was good. Was. I had a provider call in a prescription for an acute head injury and it's been 3 days without a word from them. I called this morning and was told "We're running behind." I get that, but this is critical medication, and I'm obviously not the only one who isn't getting mine. 3 days without even a single word acknowledging that they've received the prescription. After my wife wrecked her bike and dislocated her arm, the Doctor called in a prescription to this cvs, and they were out of that in particular medication. This was at 7:44, the pharmacist said they were closing and wouldn't have time to fill the prescription. Our doctor called them at 7:52 and the pharmacist refused to fill the script. They obviously don't care about the patients at this cvs. I know cvs overworks their pharmacist, however when someone has obviously been through a lot, and THEY WERE NOT CLOSED, you think they would do what they could to assist. read more

I will Not Recommend cvs. The pharmacy representative I spoke with was very rude and short with me. I relayed I was trying to confirm the information she was telling me because I've been going back and forth between my doctor and CVS and she had an attitude the entire time. She ended up hanging up on me as I was saying my goodbye on the phone. Then I called the cvs front store to please speak with Pharamacy. Long story short I told cvs I know I'm not the only customer but to atleast hear me. I have been out of meds since 5/17 trying to get cvs to respond because the refuse to transfer to my mail order. my mail order even had negitive experience. The only reason I come in here is because I have one or two random things to buy (which is the purpose of a convenience store, come to think of it). It's near a gas station, Safeway, Starbucks, and Graeter's, so you have all your bases covered for a one stop shopping trip on 56/Illinois :) This location gets a lot of traffic and thus the parking lot is usually quite full, but patrons are usually not there for long. read more

I really wish they had a drive-through, as this is the closest CVS location to my house. I've found the service to be a bit slow (I recently got a text that a prescription was ready, only to have to wait 40 minutes for it when I arrived in the store). Atmosphere is a little dark and dingy compared to other CVS locations in the area. I think it could use some modern updates, but other than that, it has all the basics, meets my needs, and is in a convenient location. read more

I've been to this pharmacy several times over the years since it is close to my daughter's house in Butler/Tarkington and the Starbuck's on Illinois. This morning, I was on a mission to find all natural ingredients to make a drain cleaner since I don't want to use harsh chemicals to clear my drain because my two cats drink out of the sink and just generally lay around in the sink. What can I say? I guess they like how cool it is...and of course they rule :-) Every time I go into this CVS, I encounter a friendly clerk who is more than willing to drop everything and help me find what I'm looking for. Today was delivery day, but the nice woman who stopped what she was doing to help me deserves kudos. She lead me right to the snake I needed and the baking soda. Unfortunately, CVS doesn't carry Cream of Tartar (another ingredient I needed to make the drain cleaner), but pointed out that Safeway Market was right across the street and probably carried it. She was right. I popped into Safeway (a tiny neighborhod grocery not the mega-chain that I was use to in Cali) and bought the Cream of Tartar...and my guilty pleasure of Diet Pepsi. Today I will experiment with my homopathic drain cleaner so it doesn't take 10 minutes for my drain to clear. It's just a convenience store you say? Well, there's also some really nice people and really great deals at this one. The lady who works the cash register is always so kind and outgoing. She will brighten your day and I've been meaning to call management about how great she is. The coupons that print out with my receipts have always been very relevant and promote products I already buy. The location is also very convenient and the parking lot is easy to pull into. read more

It's convenient because it's in the neighborhood, but the pharm techs are rude and unprofessional. During a recent visit, I stood at the counter a full minute without acknowledgement. In fact, the one at the counter with a nametag "Skoog" turned her back to me. Really! I've decided home delivery of my regular perscription is even more convenient and will do that from now on. This is my go to CVS! I shop here frequently. It's great once you get down their extrabucks and reward programs, there is a lot of savings! Today, when I went to CVS, I wanted to buy Tide detergent because I would get extrabucks and I had a coupon. However, they didn't have a deal for High efficiency detergent. The Manager saw me looking perplexed and asked if he could help. I told him that I was upset that none of the He detergents were on sale like the regular. He said we will make it right, which one do you want? He took $5 off a $15 detergent for me and I still used my coupon! Good CVS experience! Thanks CVS from a regular customer. read more

This place is the worst. I've repeatedly asked that they implement a single queue for checkout. I've been in there countless times and seen fights nearly breakout over which customer was next at the register. Management clearly doesn't care. I've simply stopped going. read more
