This may have been the rudest, worst retail experience I have ever had. I went to the self checkout. There was one small window on the screen that that said there was a connection problem, but it looked like just one of the home screen ads didnt load. The other terminal was in use and the third was out of order. I figured I'd try it see if it worked. All items scanned but it would not accept my credit card. The card worked a few hours ago so I figured the card was ok. The person on the second terminal finished and I went to that terminal and everything went through fine. My wife asked me if I was done and I told her yes, the first terminal wasn't working but the middle one was fine. At that point, the cashier, a woman with long straight grey hair, said to me in a very rude tone that the terminal was working fine. I wasn't talking to her, nor did I address her with the complaint. I was talking to my wife. I started to explain that the first terminal would not accept my payment, but the second one did. So there is a problem. She got even ruder when she told me the first terminal was fine. I decided to wait for my wife outside, rather than escalate the situation. My wife is usually the first person to tell me to calm down and I was expecting her to come out and give me grief over the interaction when she came out. Instead she came out and said "That women was a total (insert term for a female dog here).". I asked why and she told me a guy went to the terminal right after me and it DID NOT WORK!. And she gave him grief. I wasn't talking.to her. There was no need for her even comment. And to talk to a customer in that tone of voice was totally unacceptable. I have managed customer-facing teams for years. If anyone one of my people spoke to a customer the way she talked to me, they most likely would have been fired, or at the very least received some sort of disciplinary action. If you don't like working with the public you should stay out of retail. There is a Walgreens about a half mile down the road. Guess who's getting my business from now on. We were on a cruise ship and got extended for another two weeks. Unfortunately two of my prescriptions ran out and I contacted CVS staff. They contacted my insurance company and my physician to get my two prescriptions refilled a real lifesaver! read more

Pharmacist Emilie is so bad in so many ways it's hard to know where to begin. In addition to being very slow, she is irrational, has an explosive temper and then lies to cover up and justify bad behavior. I have never met a more disrespectful pharmacy tech than Darren. He is extremely rude and constantly has an attitude. If I could give 0 stars I would! Not a good experience. Recently shopped at the CVS on Truman in Key West, FL and was racially profiled as an automatic thief because I asked for a bigger bag before I began scanning my own items (btw forced to because employees refuse to hop on a register). There was no way the items I purchased were going to fit in those small bags without tearing the bag and I walked to the CVS so I needed a bigger bag. When I asked for a bigger bag the attendant told me "no you pay 1st" in a rude manner. I told her I was going to pay for my items I just need a bigger bag. I had to go back and forth with her several times before she was willing to give me a bigger bag. Then as I was ringing up my items she watched me like a hawk and rudely came over to the kiosk and scanned the detergent for me to make sure that I purchased it. I was very offended. On 29 September at approximately 515 PM I walked into the CVS did my shopping like others were doing. Many where not wearing a mask by choice... I was not wearing a mask due to health reasons of disability of injured in combat. The manager Who appears to be in her late 50s or early 60s white lady. Lost all control and went off the deep She was on many customers for not wearing a mask. like she was the mask Nazi police. A few customers dropped their stuff and walked out did not want to deal with her crap. Great pharmacy! While on vacation in Key West, I had a jet ski accident. I went to Urgent Care and they sent my prescription electronically to this CVS location. My insurance card was back in Orlando, but the pharmacy tech (Zach, I think) took the time to contact my insurance carrier for me. He was friendly, nice, quick, and efficient! After being on hold for 10-15 mins, you will be talked to like trash and cut off. Craziest CVS I have ever been too! This drugstore doubles as sort of a mini Kmart with clothing and swimsuits along with the other expected drug store items. The upside? It has a parking lot that saves you from trying to find parking on the narrow streets that surround it. The downside? The stock is limited. You may find ONE of what you are looking for, or in my case, you may need to go with another brand or probably the house CVS brand as there seems to be plenty of stock of that. The store also felt dirty to me. Looked good from the outside, but once inside- there is a mess of everything in everyplace. Check out is super easy, though. In addition to the counters in the front- they have 3 self check out areas which move the people through. Not bad in a pinch but the Walgreen's on Duval is probably a better bet! read more

If you need something in a pinch, this CVS outpost in Key West will suffice. Keep your expectations in check and you'll be fine. Customer service is practically nonexistent here. On a Sunday morning in December 2014, there were no cashiers working the register, so customers were forced to use the self checkout kiosks, which have their own inherent issues. These issues required a sullen, seemingly unhappy employee to assist each and every customer in line. From my viewpoint, it would have been easier for her to just ring folks through at the register instead of getting upset that the stupid tourists couldn't work the self checkout machines. However, there is a big parking lot if you're driving, and it is only a short walk from most places in Old Town. Convenience often wins over customer service. read more

Don't EVER use this pharmacy. I have been a RN for 35yrs and I don't think I have ever experienced as rude a pharmacist as Paul. The computers were down and subsequently we were asking questions about filling our script at another CVS or enquiring as to how to get the medications because we had no idea how long their computers were going to be down. It's in a small neighborhood close to the beach but hard to find. Small parking lot but they do have a pharmacy which the other cvs on the island doesn't. It's nice for the people staying close to Higgs beach and in the immediate neighborhood. It has all the drinks and snack you need. read more

Worst Pharmacy EVER! Called to refill a prescription. They told me it would be a few hours. I gave them three because they were closing soon. I arrived at the counter...Only to be ignored for five minutes. I finally asked the pharmacist's assistant if she could help me. After looking up my prescription, she informs me that it isn't ready. REALLY...Three Have and it still isn't ready. My prescription is prepackaged and just needs a label. I will definitely not use this pharmacy if you are in a hurry or in a dire need of medication. I heard that this is the busiest CVS in the nation. I think it might be true. Seems like locals come here for most of their needs on the go. Close to Duval, but not ON Duval. Parking lot doubles as bumper car rink, but at least you're not looking for street parking. Huge store with photo lab and an entire wardrobe aisle full of tourist clothes. You can find pretty much anything you need here. Line is always at least 10 deep, but moves quickly. Gets the job done! read more

It's a large CVs and can get busy during the alcoholics rush hour when people are heading home and need their fix of junk food. Great CVS in a perfect location... come here to stock up on beer, water and sunscreen. Ok so I had the most bizarre hilarious experience here ever. My travel companion and I piled up about $200 worth of sundries on the counter, and mass confusion ensued. The cashier Julie was just miserable and awful. She did everything in her power to not ring us up. It was like that childhood game, the floor is lava. Except our counter full of unpaid merchandise was the lava. This Julie character would ring one item up, go answer a phone and have a conversation, ring up another item, walk away and eat some M&Ms, ring up another item, order her lunch, ring up another item, clean the doors with Windex, etc etc. If it wasn't so hilarious it would have been enraging. Finally I started grabbing the stuff to head to the self checkout, when I was met with a loud raspy "Hey you didn't pay for that!" To which I said "not for lack of trying Julie"!" While on vacation in the neighborhood, we of course needed the usual drugstore items, and since these days u basically have the two evils And nothing in between, and since this rx was so close to our hotel this was where we ended up. I was pleasantly surprised and had a delightful experience here! This place had everything! It was like shopping at a tiny version of Long's Drugs (sigh! I miss that place! ) Usually at either of the two evils, I want out asap! But this place, like Long's, made me want to stay and shop! I live nearby and used to frequent a lot, but I don't like the fact that they force customers to use the self checkout at all times. It's really a pain when I have a lot of items to checkout and there just isn't any room or bigger bags at the self checkout.
