I waited at the drive-through window for approximately ten minutes, and someone announced over the speaker that they would assist me shortly. I patiently passed the time by listening to YouTube. When the pharmacist eventually approached the window, I turned off my video and looked up, only to see him walk away and sit at a desk to shuffle papers. After a while, he abruptly stood up, approached the window, threw his hands up, and loudly asked, "Are you here to pick up a prescription?" It wasn't just the words he used but his tone and demeanor that were unprofessional. I affirmed that I was there to pick up a prescription. He then began speaking on the phone, but I couldn't hear him as the speaker wasn't on. It seemed he was frustrated that I had been watching YouTube despite it being a way to occupy my time while waiting. His body language and facial expressions conveyed his annoyance. We had to raise our voices to communicate since I couldn't hear him initially. I appreciate that Walgreens has a drive-through; it eliminates the need to stand in line, but if I have to wait in my car, I have the right to listen to music or YouTube to occupy my time. That is no reason for the pharmacist to convey annoyance. Except for this pharmacist the employees are consistently friendly and helpful.

On 9 calls out of 10 you can never speak to an actual human being. Once you do get to talk to someone with a callback ,I will say they are usually (though not always) helpful. You can hear the stress and frustration in their voices from being overworked. It makes me wonder if they are so short-handed that the quality of their important work is compromised. Their hours are limited, only open until 7pm weekdays which for many customers is not convenient. The CVS IVR and App are useless. The IVR never "understands' and it seems the app frequently fails to find my RX account or has information from a previous account/location from years ago. If anyone at the corporate level reads these reviews, my question is: How can you stay in business at this location if you can't even find enough staff to help customers whose "business is important to us"?

Cvs in High Springs is almost the only game in town. The…read moregood: They are not Winn Dickme Pharmacy, and they have a fairly complete selection of pharmaceutical goods on hand (usually). The bad: check your prescription. They are nice folks but more than a few times I have gotten the wrong prescription from them. Correct label wrong meds. Working in health care I see this as a very big no-no. The ugly: Normally they get you a med (maybe not yours) on time and when they say they will. But today.... I dropped off my script and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I thought, seriously this is almost too good to be true.... It was. They called (at least they called) 20 minutes later to say it was on the truck and it would be ready in 5 hours. Okay dokie. Well, being the guy I am... I showed up in 8 hours to find out it was not only - not ready, but not there and would not be there. I thought about yelling, but instead I told the very nice lady behind the glass. I would not kill the messenger. Maybe it will come tomorrow. The general jest. I will shop there again. Because as I said earlier. They are not Winn Dickme pharmacy, and 6 maybe 7 out of 10 times they get it all right.
