I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience at the CVS on Main St. in Las Cruces was frustrating enough that I felt it needed to be shared. The employee named Maria was extremely rude--especially toward elderly customers. I witnessed her speaking to an older customer in a very dismissive and impatient tone, which was uncomfortable to watch. On top of that, she gave me incorrect information about a prescription pickup, which ended up wasting a lot of time. When I came back later, another employee cleared things up in just a few minutes, so it was obvious that Maria either didn't want to help or simply didn't take the time to check. It's disappointing to see that kind of attitude at a place people rely on for their health and medication. I hope management addresses this, because CVS usually provides much better service than this. read more

One of our friends visiting from Italy fell very ill. Our friend had international insurance but the process is so different. It was a long stressful and frustrating day which just ended at 1:18am. We moved from another CVS to this one because it is 24x7. Hence the 3 star review. But I was told I had to personally go back to the other location to transfer my prescriptions. When I tried to do this, the other location person said no, tell the other CVS to do the transfers. I got my fall shots in the store with little waiting. However, one shot was out of stock and they didn't cancel my appt for it, so I found out when I showed up for the shot. Despite my asking to communicate when a prescription is ready, by text or mail or voice, they never do. But eventually they answer the phone. A costliest mistake occurred when instead of giving me the same med I always take for a serious illness, a pharmacy clerk gave me a different version at 3x the cost. Said it was just a different manufacturer. But it actually was an older, less stable version. Bottom line: I could not take a single tablet. They refused any refund, so I had to throw out over $300 of tablets and pay the real price for the correct version. The personnel vary in their attentiveness and skills. But at this time, I feel hopeful. The problems seem to be declining. read more

CVS, in general, is the most expensive pharmacy I've ever used. I only use them because my insurance won't let me use any other pharmacy. At Walmart, one of my medications is less than half of what it costs at CVS without using my insurance. I chose this CVS only because it's 24/7. I've had so many problems with them. They have canceled my orders and put some on hold. Their communication is subpar, and now, when I call to speak to a pharmacist, I have to leave a message for a callback. It is all completely ridiculous, but I need my medication, so my hands are tied. read more

Able to refund incorrect meds. Staff was courteous. However, can't bypass recording that kept stating "prescription is in process' and had to make a trip to the pharmacy and be told that the store doesn't sell a particular drug. read more

24 hr service is my only reason to give a decient review to CVS. They can be rude and they have made several mistakes on my meds. They seem to be getting better since some of their staff disappeared. I go there because Las Cruces Rexall transfered my records there when they closed. Compared to Walgreen they are about average. read more

The new CVS in Las Cruces looks good on the outside. I was especially attracted by the signs all over the doors and stuck into the front lawn that said that they offer flu shots EVERY DAY. You would think that Saturday qualifies as a day, but when I went in to get a flu shot I was told that their pharmacist who can give flu shots isn't in until Monday. So first of all, they lie on their advertisements, and second, their pharmacists aren't qualified. Needless to say, not a ringing endorsement. read more

My child has a disorder that includes Executive Functioning Deficits. As I was just that day out of the hospital, I was dependent on others for the household needs. I called the local CVS and said I had an unusual request, asking if they would gather 3 items along with a prescription for my child to pay for and bring home. The response surprised me. "No" I was told. Only 2 people working at the moment. But if she brings in her list they will help her find the items then. I thought about this reasoning as I hung up the phone. That was 2 days ago and I still don't get it. No time saved and an unhappy customer. Oh, and as I expected, my child came home with only 2 of the items, couldn't find the others. read more

My mother has a painful bone disease in which her bones are fused together. She cannot walk and is wheelchair bound. Her prescription was sent electronically to CVS and she let CVS know she will be paying for her script using a good rx coupon as she does not run it through insurance to avoid pre-authorizations, delays in refills, etc. The pharmacy tech told my mother that she could not refill her prescription unless she used her insurance and told her if she wanted to use her good RX coupon, her doctor would need to transfer it to a different pharmacy. I called to verify this and was told the same thing. The pharmacy Tech stated in a condescending manner, " we can't transfer it because of the type of drug it is." My mother endures excruciating pain everyday and can't even walk. And now CVS wants to discriminate against her and probably countless others who legitimately need pain medication to combat their terrible pain. Disgusting read more

My husband went to pick up Tamaflu for both of us, bad flu symptoms. Had taken prescriptions to CVS at 10am and said they'd get their supply at 2pm. My husband went back to pick them up and they told him our doctor only gave it to him. So I called my doc and they said she did give it to both of us. Went to CVS and asked to see my prescription and they proceeded to tell me they were out again, and only had enough for my husband. I asked why did you lie about it, my doctor was not happy about this. They hemmed and hawed to cover up their lie. Forget to bring some medicine on a trip so I swing by CVS out here in the desert - no wait, courteous pharmacist, and he pulls up my prescription account from CVS back in Chi-town - presto, 3 minutes later I walk out with the pills I need and I'm back in business. Service and friendliness are what a drug store is all about and I couldn't ask for anything more than what CVS provided tonight. read more

Very disappointed that the pharmacy staff seemed overworked and burned out and treated the customers accordingly. Just out of oral surgery, with a mouthful of gauze, I was told to get in line behind six or seven people to pick up medication when I needed more urgent attention. Since I have no control over corporate management my only recourse is not to spend any money on any merchandise at CVS until these issues are resolved which I will do. read more

Cvs is not up to par the evening shift night shift is very rude.. Not willing to help you.. I work at skilled nursing home and they do not receive there meds either.. The only reason I go to cvs is that my work says it is only place I can go.. But they are rude and do not help you..
