I have been coming to this CVS in Boyle Heights throught the years for medicine for the cold or special they always have at CVS

After having hip surgery 3 days ago, I need to fill a prescription for a controlled substance pain medication. I was issued a hard copy rx upon discharge from the hospital yesterday. I am not ambulatory for about a week. I called this pharmacy to make sure they would fill it as long as my caretaker brings in my ID and insurance card. However, when he got there they told him that they cannot fill prescriptions for narcotics so to go to the Echo Park store. I had to wait until this morning to send him to that store. So, the less than informed pharmacist whom I spoke to gave out wrong information. I'm in dangerous post surgical pain. This is unconscionable! Update: I spoke to the pharmacy manager about the misinformation given to me to delay the process of filling my prescription and that I wished to file a formal complaint. The store in Echo Park is filling it now. This is my third major surgery and all previous Rx's were filled there. So I understand that federal law prohibits pharmacy hopping. This pharmacy manager said that she was a pharmacy tech. That does NOT work as an excuse. I told her that it was for a controlled substance. When I asked for the store manager he claimed that "she" wasn't in today. I called the store number and asked for the manager. I was transferred immediately to Jesus, the store manager. He took the report. His customer service was excellent! read more

Wow such bad reviews for this CVS.... Personally, this is my go-to store for prescription fills and late night ice cream runs. It's clean and all the sales associates, including the pharmacy, are super nice and friendly. They always ask if I need help finding anything. The pharmacy line and wait can be long at times but I think they are doing a great job helping each customer with sincerity and knowledge. 10 cents for plastic bags :) read more

I am an older female who recently moved into the area and even though they do not carry all the products other CVS stores carry, I feel very welcomed when I walk into this store. I am not very tech savvy and I never stopped at the coupon kiosk with fear of the unknown. There was a beautiful young lady there by the name of Rayana who was the cashier in the store at the time. She took the time to explain to me all the deals I could get just by grabbing the ad paper as I walk into the store and to go over the the coupon kiosk. My name is Johnny aguilar and my wife Patricia went to this cvs pharmacy to get my prescription. She gets there and hangs the prescription the lady at the counter. Note is our first time having to get our meds there. So she knows she needs members id's group number bin number and pcn number and a phone number to for the pharmacist to call. That being said the lady at the counter said this is not the correct info. Before my wife went to cvs I got all the info for this reason. The lady at the counter began to get very aggressive and then started being rude my wife. My wife then told her if you're not satisfied with your job look for another job that makes you happy but don't be rude with me. Then the lady at the counter threw the prescription back to my wife and my wife called the manager for the CVS. When the manager for CVS approached the counter in the back where we get the prescription they both started attacking him as if they were the managers and they proceeded to throw my wife out of cvs. I will not ever come to this cvs and this is not the end of it where taking higher up and will take legal actions. read more

Illegal operations!!! I couldn't believe this happened at CVS! I went to visit a Doctor, in a near by town. Following my visit I went to CVS, to fill a prescription. I went to the drop off area, I was greeted by Michael (the pharmacist ). When I handed him my prescription he said " sorry but I can't fill this for you, because we only fill prescriptions for doctors in our town." I told him that this was discrimination he said " I am sorry but we've built a relationship with them." I told him that this was illegal. He said " yes I know." Worst CVS I have ever attended. Most of the workers are in bad mood. Is impossible to ask them any question without getting a rude feedback. Sometimes when I need to buy something I prefer to drive somewhere else. Even though I live a few blocks away. There was one time I was looking for a white eyeliner and I couldn't find it. my elderly mother that has a hard time walking and in bad health always goes to this cvs to fill her prescriptions shes a loyal regular customer everytime I see as she waits patiently for her meds to be ready when she needs to use the customer restroom it is out of service and they tell her to go next door to the food 4 less grocery store there is no compassion demonstrated very poor customer service is noted I have gone to other cvs pharmacies in other cities and the restrooms are always clean and readily available for customers to use at there convenience some advice to the store manager clean and fix your restrooms show some compassion accommodate your loyal customers it appears as if the employees are lying saying the restrooms are out of service everytime it appears to be a repetitive obvious pattern if my mother has the urgency and really needs to use your restrooms why not adress issue fix them and clean them there are many elderly and handicap customers that need to use the restroom and cant go to the food 4 less next door it's a far long walk your employees need to stop sending your customers to the grocery store to relieve them selves have some compassion customer service is very important these are your loyal customers that are bringing you business they are not food 4 less customers stop sending your customers elsewhere enough with "the restrooms are out of order" it's getting old and it's very inconvenient and unwelcoming to customers that should be treated with dignity and respect. read more
