MY FAV CVS STORE. I live close to 2 cvs stores, one on York and the other on Colorado Blvd however I choose to drive to this one in Lincoln heights. They have the best customer service, everyone is so nice & helpful, especially a transaction I had with Jacky & Roxy (I'm so sorry if I get the names wrong but y'all know who you are lol). I've been coming to this CVS for a while, but I've reached my limit. The wait times are excessive, even when there are only a few people in line. Most of the staff seem uninterested in helping and only start taking things seriously when you ask to speak with a manager. To make things worse, I recently discovered they had been billing my insurance incorrectly, causing me to overpay for my medications -- something that should never happen at a pharmacy. Communication here is also a problem. Some staff members don't speak clearly, which makes already frustrating situations even more difficult to resolve. When there's a long line, there's usually only one person handling pickups, which makes no sense for such a busy location. Overall, this CVS is poorly managed and lacks proper customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go to another pharmacy -- your time, money, and peace of mind are worth more than what you'll get here. read more

The people who work the evening shift are all unreliable and whoever it is that's answered the phone kept hanging up each time I called. And to top it off I was in the middle of an urgent situation where I wanted to know if they carry an item for a senior who was suffering a bad fever at the time. If management reads this review and finds the clown who was doing that please fire him. It seems like they're just playing with customers time. I will never set foot in this store again. read more

PASSPORT PHOTO: May 13, 2025. I went there around 9am. Only one worker was there, and she took my picture with a basic camera without asking how it came out. The photo turned out ugly! Furthermore, even though I only needed the digital copy, I had to buy their package, which included a 1- 4x6 ID photo, 2- 4x6 ID photo certificates, and a passport email. 1- 4x6' Passport ID Photo ($16.99) 2- 4x6' Passport ID Photo Certificate 1- Passport Email ($3.99) Overall: Go to Walgreens, it's cheaper, and you can ask for retakes on your photo. read more

unfortunately, the young lady in the photo I posted loses the store / pharmacy a star. She was so robotic, so cold, non engaging. She seemed fatigued like she hated her job. She was everything you never want to experience with guest relation.. I had to update my insurance card so once I showed her that she's like / oh follow me -now. Remember, she's behind the counter. So as I'm walking in front of the pharmacy counter, trying to find out where she's going, because I can barely see the top of her head. She takes me to a very pleasant, engaging pharmacist by the name of Carol. Carol, the four stars are because of you !! Carol, you need to train your colleague how to interact with people on the other side of that glass . Carol was informative, engaging, and showed an interest in getting me through the line as fast as possible because they are quite busy . as far as anyone scoring negatively because of the wait times get over yourself !! They had two or three registers running , two pharmacist and or pharmacist and a check back there - nonstop ! Didn't look like too many people there were pushing time clocks so time is pretty much all you had , learn some respect and to be grateful! read more

1 star * Has anyone tried calling the pharmacy and dealt with automated system that takes you in circles and gets you no where. The CVS customer service overall is horrendous horrible terrible no matter how much they renovate the pharmacy section the services needs a make over. Hopefully they improve and speed up the services and hire enough staff to man the windows!! My aging parent couldn't get her meds refilled because the automated system is designed to make you leave a voice message!!! There is no press # to refill meds or speak with .... instead it takes you Straight to "leave a voice message and someone will call you in a different life time!!! lol. I tried both in English and Spanish and it took me to " leave a message!" What the sweet Lincoln heights is going here !! We the people need to complain to corporate! Can their pharmacy be any worse. Went to the MD this morning & he sent over a prescription request. It's late in the afternoon & I called. I called the pharmacy and the girl answering the phone claimed nothing was sent. Ridiculous. The doctor's representative called and found out they didn't know how to fill the prescription and have been sitting on it this whole time. If I don't say anything, they continue to sit on it and do nothing. A new level of incompetence within this pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy staff who filled my prescription was super nice. I didn't bother waiting and so I went home. I called and the staff said it was ready for pick up. I drove to the store and the pick up was fast and efficient. I went in and out. Parking is limited. I went in to buy toilet papers, and they were stocked. The employees were getting ready for Christmas decorations. Service is fast and quick. read more

Lack of quality service in the Pharmacy department. The Asian women pharmacist is so rude 95% of the time that I would rather go without my prescription then have to interact with her. She's like a manager back there. They maybe desperate for help to keep her!!!! I have had most of my prescriptions moved to Walmart because of her and when the rest are up for renew they will be transferred as well. Save yourself the trouble and don't even call the pharmacy. They'll keep you on hold for an hour and either hang up while you're on hold or answer (pretend) they don't hear you (happened 3x) and hang up. Honestly I walked in ten minutes later and there was no line. They don't care. read more

It's sort of a convenience store, but when I visited there were a few inconveniences, in that they only keep one entrance open, so you need to go through the doors on Workman not on Broadway, and also the staffing was a bit under prepared and there were long lines and it took a while to make quick purchase. But I think those were about bad timing, so I can't fault 'em for that. The fact that there's a CVS in Lincoln Heights to support the neighborhood community for the residents to go to for fair pricing with a pharmacy and part of a reliable big chain is a good thing. read more

PROS: 1. Usually check out counter staff is pretty nice. 2. You can find greeting cards for several occasions in Spanish here! CONS: 1. Hours here are lousy! Most other CVS stores open earlier and close later. 2. Usually a long wait for Pharmacy. 3. Parking lot is small and people who do park here don't know how to. Lot is also kind of dirty. 4. Often, this is a CVS that solicitors tend to favor. Yes, I'm sure Salvation Army and "my kid's local school" are great organizations, but I often don't have change or guilt to spare. Ain't nobody got time fo' that! OTHER: They started charging 10 cents for plastic bags as of 1-1-14, so bring your own if you're carrying multiple items! read more

I come here for prescriptions or other things such as hygiene products or makeup. They have plenty of parking which does not need to be paid for which is a big plus. Their store is fairly sized well. Sometimes the pharmacy line can be long and it can take a while to get your prescription. Workers are ok, one of the managers that works there can be a creep though. read more

Horrible service, very inconsiderate and impolite employees/pharmacist at the pharmacy. The employees where constantly just on their personal phones and would not even answer the in coming phone calls that where coming through to the store when some of them where just standing doing nothing. The pharmacist was even ruder especially when speaking with customers who just wanted to ask a question etc. just the worst experience I have ever been through or seen. I had surgery Wednesday and needed the medicine for pain etc ,pharmacist told me to come back Friday, it will be for sure be ready . So I came Friday and was told it wasn't ready ,now until Monday . I went back Monday and asked if my medicine was ready like they said and got the response of "no we don't have it yet! " , I asked then by when ? Pharmacist responded saying I don't know , I have no idea ? So they basically wasted almost a whole week telling me story after story when I was in need of the meds right after surgery . I was hoping they'd be professional enough to tell me to go to another pharmacy .Their service is by far the worst and unprofessional ! All if the cashiers are very helpful! There is one girl who seems to be a supervisor (beautiful Hispanic girl with black hair) who helps out the cashiers with any questions, Jose was EXTREMELY helpful during my last visit when I was having issues checking out with coupons, it took a few tries but everything worked out in the end and he was very patient and understanding. There is another cashier (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) and she interacts with every customer. My only concern is that there is a cashier (she's a bit older, slim with glasses) who chooses to not wear a mask when she's on register. I understand that there is a plexiglass between the customer and cashier but as a state mandate, she still needs to wear it. I is wish this store would have a red box to get my coupons printed out! Just wanted to say THANK you to José, he was patient and helpful! Saray was also so wonderful today! She's super sweet and seems to genuinely enjoy helping people! Saray is on of the best cashiers this CVS has! Thank you for being such a great help pulling items I needed that were locked, she's so nice! Terrible pharmacy. My uncle takes a certain type of medication...he's taken the same medication for close to twenty years. No problem with the medication. All of a sudden, when he tries to refill the medication, he is given a different medication...same class but generally less effective. I immediately go next day to the pharmacy to sort this out. The pharmacy tells me that my uncle's doctor has cancelled the first medication and switched to the second medication. I then go to the doctor's office and the doctor tells me that CVS called him to request a change in medication. As my uncle hadn't seen the doctor in a couple of months...there is no way my uncle's doctor started this. I had to get another prescription for the original medication and get it filled at CVS. Now here's the kicker. CVS won't give a refund for the medication they illegally switched. I have no idea what CVS is doing, but don't do this! You are not the doctor...don't mess around in people's lives. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to first I came with my sons prescription on Saturday and they told me to come back and bring his social and Sunday I brought it and then they told me that his social is saying he doesn't have any insurance at all then they told me to bring me his medical card and the next day I didn't they told me that they had already told me that my son had no insurance and I had to get them to look up his insurance and sure enough he had insurance and then they called my ex boyfriends mom for some reason and then they told her I barely came in to get his medicine like 3 days after his prescription this place is unprofessional and they really don't care about you at all. read more

Most unorganized CVS I have EVER been too. It is DIRTY and everything is MISPLACED. The worst part of this store is the LINES!! There is literally only one or two cashiers at any given moment. On the other hand, the employees have an attitude. CVS MANAGEMENT, Please do your job CORRECTLY. I do not expect to walk into a CVS as if it were being run as a hole in the wall drug store. I reported this to HR and still has not been any changes made. This is not the last time HR would hear from me as this is OBVIOUSLY a MANAGEMENT issue. HIRE MORE PEOPLE. HAVE MULTIPLE CASHIERS. Cash register employees are nice for the mot part. But pharmacy. Yikes! Soooo rude. Girl has such an attitude and lacked customer service skills. Super bitchy and didn't want to help at all. My boyfriend is immobilized and I took his pain med prescription in and she said that it wasn't valid, I understand that but when I asked her (nicely) if she can please explain that to him and what steps he should take to get the right paper work she refused and gave me an attitude. It's not the first time I experience this and it seems to be the girls. The Asian guy at the pharmacy is really nice though. I fee like they need to talk to their employees about courtesy and being nice to costumers. Some are coming in stressed or sick and all they need is someone to lift their spirits. I ended up going to rite aid. And they accepted my prescription. Looked over the paper work and said everything was fine. read more

A lot of expired items when you come to this CVS. They don't do a good job of regulating inventory, especially the vitamins/medicines are all covered in dust. I wouldn't come here if it weren't so convenient. Sometimes the lines get pretty long in the afternoon to evenings. They never have shopping carts because bums always steal them supposedly. They seriously need to do a better job of keeping track of their carts, stocking non-expired inventory, and just having things advertised on the weekly circular in stock. I hate it when the shelf is always out and they don't bother checking in the back. They simply tell you what's out there is all they have. If you had better customer service, you would at least offer me a rain check. read more

I stop here usually about once a week on my back home, and I have seen some major changes here as of late, a few months ago, I really didn't like waking in here, but as of late, I'm starting to really enjoy it! The place definitely needs some love. The carpets are terrible and the garbage cans out front always have graffiti on them. *****BUT***** I love this store. The pharmacists Vicky and Paul, I interact with weekly and love. Both are amazing in their role and always make me feel 100% positive about my choice in pharmacy! (The Pharmacy Technicians here are not always the happiest people on the planet, but they do a nice job for me, the customer!) As far as the main store goes, I want to make sure I mention you look for Karina if you need help, she is a jack-of-all-trades. She helped me in photo, took passport photos for me, helped me find the right toothpaste, out on the floor, but she found some at the end of an aisle, and then about 15 minutes later she rang me out up front. She was polite, we had great conversation about the rain, she makes jokes, I laughed a bit, and it was an overall great experience. And it isn't just this once experience that makes me brag on this store! It has been this way the last few months and to be honest I even like stopping in just to say "Hello" now. Whatever is happening here, is the right mindset! I hope they keep it up! PS: the bathrooms have been painted blue and look 100x better then the disgusting mess they used to be, praise whoever painted them over! read more

It's my go-to CVS but only because it's close. Everyone I've interacted with at the pharmacy has been pleasant, so that's a plus. I agree that there never seems to be enough cashiers and the line gets ridiculous. They also seem to lock up a lot of things so you have to call for help to get it out, which can be annoying when there aren't a whole lot of employees working there.
