Seeing the few negative reviews of my local and go-to pharmacy for our family of four is downright shocking. We've been using the CVS on Retail Commons inside of Target since it opened, and I have too many positive accolades to shower the staff with to post, but I'll share a few highlights. As a veteran breastfeeding mother I have struggled many a time with my physician prescribing medication that is actually not only incompatible with nursing, but harmful for the infant. Since parroting this location I've never had to worry about drug interactions or impact on supply because Andrew, the "blonde pharmacist" continues to go above and beyond by triple checking and noting in my customer account that it's something I need cross referenced. I have two children with chronic pediatric medical situations, one of which is asthma. Andrew always goes above the expectation for his job duties to speak to my kids by name, ask them what flavors they'd like their medications, and when we head to target for a non-pharmacy run my kids always ask to see if "our pharmacist" is working. The few times our medications have been out of stock or on back order both pharmacists have called other locations and given me a courtesy personal phone call to let me know how I can most expeditiously get the medications my children need for their daily comfort. CVS is beyond lucky to have a local pharmacist like Andrew on staff. Our family will be his patients for the long haul. read more

Firstly, the blond pharmacist is one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. He always assumes whatever you tell him is wrong, mocks you when you ask questions, and eventually throws his hands in the air while growling for a tech to come cause he has "more important things to do". I have rarely had my prescriptions be accurate. The automated system texts me that X medication is ready, I arrive two hours later to be told Y medication (that I haven't had a prescription for in over a year) is ready, but not X med. Most recently, I got a text message that was quite demanding, "You have three prescriptions ready for pick up! This is your final reminder!", after 3 reminders yesterday. When I went to the store yesterday, there was a sign saying, "No pharmacist on duty, Pharmacy Closed". I checked, this was at 3PM, their lunch is over at 2PM so it wasn't that. I asked a clerk, and he told me no pharmacist came to work that day so they sent the techs home and closed up till there is a pharmacist on duty. I am now getting texts every 60 minutes reminding me to pick up my prescriptions or they will be put back on the shelf, and it's over an hour drive to the store (about 2hr 30mins round trip, plus the time in store) when gas prices are 5$/gal. They constantly fill the wrong prescriptions, they called the wrong doctor (some random dude at WVU) to get a refill on one of my Rx, & when he told them he wasn't my doctor, they chewed me out at the store, for changing doctors-I've had the same doctor for 17yrs. They have changed my meds without telling me, have filled the wrong dosage then refused to fix it through my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket to correct their error. Never use this place if you don't have to. If my insurance didn't insist on CVS, I'd take my business elsewhere. read more

This staff works extremely hard! The pharmacist always greets me by my name and is willing to take the few extra minutes to explain drug interactions which I appreciate because I know he is very busy. The techs are always friendly and working hard to get things filled! I saw the pharmacy was closed the other day due to lack of pharmacist but that is a CVS issue, not those working there. I also see reviews complaining about the text messages, but they are not controlled by the workers, again that's a CVS issue. Everyone needs to be a little more kind and patient. I would definitely recommend this store. read more

Andrew is the best pharmacist ever. He is always looking out for his community and will help with whatever problems come his way. He is a VERY competent pharmacist. 10 Out of 10 WOULD recommend. read more

I was sent to this pharmacy yesterday per the Edwin Miller Blvd pharmacy because they did not have the ml container for my daughter's post surgery medicine. The doctor wrote her perscription out on the 5th but I did not pick up her perscription from the doctor's office til the 9th because we had to drive to Winchester to get it and the doctor gave her enough (after her surgery) to last until then. The pharmacist Andrew IMMEDIATELY had a issue with the dates and said he could not fill it. Then when I explained the other store sent us there the lady working the front took the written perscription. He calls my phone as we are leaving the parking lot to say he could not fill it so I turn around and go back into the store. I explained for the 3rd time why the date was not today's and he insisted it was a duplicate. I begin recording how he was treating us. He then says "You will not bully me into filling this perscription." I SAID "I am not bullying you I just want you to do your job and fill my daughter's perscription!" I ask his name. He says Andrew. I ask his last name and he points to the wall and says "It's right there!" Smh After about 15 minutes and him calling security on me he says he can call the doctor on call. So I wait! He calls the doctor on call and she verifies and confirms that it was a legit perscription and it WAS picked up from the doctor's office that day. He says "I can have it ready in a hour" I said "Honestly after the way we were treated I do not trust that you will fill it so I will wait! And you owe my daughter an apology. You called her a drug addict without calling her a drug adict, humiliated us in front of these customers, you need to apologize!" He says "I did! But if your gonna act like that then just take it back I won't fill it!" So he calls security on me & my daughter this time. Security comes over asking what's going on. I said "Sir! I just want my daughter perscription filled. He's giving every excuse why he can't fill it even AFTER he spoke with the doctor and she confirmed the perscription was legit." He looks at the pharmacist puzzled & says "Ma'am this IS his area and if he does not want you here you have to leave." I said "I just want her perscription. That's all!" I said "okay fine I will post my video." Andrew, the pharmacist then says "If you gonna post a video then I can't fill your perscription I need you to leave!" Then says he wants to see me delete the video. Because I would not delete the video like he insisted, he denied filling my daughter's perscription! And she never got it filled. My daughter's HIPPA rights were violated when he openly spoke of her perscription, gave dates of her last refill and falsely accused her of making duplicate copies of perscriptions in front of 4 customers from the back of the pharmacy. And I will not to forget about his co-worker who walked to the back and then began screaming and waving her hands repeatedly "If you don't like our service just leave! Just go somewhere else!" I have NEVER IN MY LIFE been so humiliated and NEVER have I ever been walked out of a store by security. CVS this was discriminatory!!!! What happened to us was wrong in so many ways!!!! When I get home I remember the lady who was screaming at us. She was working at the CVS on Edwin Miller Blvd in a previous incident where she closed the drive thru window on me because it was closing time by the time I got to the window. I was in the line for approximately 30 min and she tried to turn me away then kept telling the drive thru pharmacist Jonathan to tell me they did not have my husband's perscription. I explained that I had JUST received a phone call that it was ready for pickup so why is it not ready. I then asked Jonathan if he could have his manager come to the window and have a conversation with me versus sending him to relay messages. She refused. I asked for the manager name. And when I went back to speak to a manager the next day, the manager said she was not even working on that day and did not know why they gave me her name. My daughter never received her perscription. We had to drive 30 minutes back to her surgeons office the next day and her doctor referred us to the Winchester Hospital pharmacy to get it filled. And it was done with no issues whatsoever. I refuse to be treated unfairly, poorly and to ever be humiliated by a CVS employee again. read more
