This is the second time in 3 months that they were out of stock on a popular mainstream medication. I got a message on my answering machine 11/10 or regarding my prescription and returned that call on 11/15 (I was on vacation). I asked if the script was ready for pickup and was told it was out of stock. I grumbled a bit and the story changed; now it IS in stock but cannot be filled until 11/21 (not a Walgreen issue, insurance rules). Then I was asked, despite my call asking if the script is ready to be picked up, if I would like it filled. I was tempted to ask the staffer why else would I ask if it were ready for pickup, but I was not in the mood for a lecture from the pharmacist about how fragile the feelings of her staff are. As far as impending store closing goes, I can think of no other reason for repeated, frequent and regular out of stock issues than dwindling sales causing corporate managers to reduce inventory levels as they decide what to do with the store. Given the level of inconvenience suffered by customers, the reason behind such a situation, if it does exist, is clear.

We had a prescription called in there, and had a complication due to a new insurance. The pharmacy in ME could not help us. I crossed my fingers and called Bob and thankfully he was working. He called the other Rite Aid and helped rectify the situation for us. Just the most recent example of how Bob goes the extra mile ALWAYS .. I tell everyone about the special care they will get it they go to this Rite Aid for their medication.

Bob, the pharmacist, is the nicest, kindest, friendliest person you will have come in contact with. He is always sweet and kind and helpful. He is the kind of person who asks how your day is, waits for an answer when asks a question, and will do whatever needed to make you leave with a smile on your face. He has checked dosage amounts for me when my kid's ear infections haven't cleared up, given suggestions on how to curb some of the not-so-nice side effects of meds, called my insurance to check coverage when he thinks there may be an issue, and all other pharmacy related things that you would want your pharmacist to do. I highly recommend this store (pharmacist) if you want to NOT dread having to go. (It's worth it even though there is no drive through. I'm saying this as a mother of a 4 yr old, 2 yr old and 30 weeks pregnant)

The pharmacy seemed to be the most staffed part of the store, there were more behind the counter than any place else in the store. That's partly because of all the unmanned self-checkout kiosks in the front, somewhat crowded with a lot of other displays, service counters, and devices, many of which had "out of order" signs on them. The dark colored carpet and the dim lights add to the dreariness.

We had a unique prescription to be filled for some medical equipment and our doctor sent the script to Marra's to be filled. I reached out to them to get set up and they not only had a wide variety of options for the equipment we needed but spoke, extensively, on each of the choices so that Mr and my wife could make a fully informed decision. Not only were they informative but they were exceptionally kind, thoughtful and funny. When I went in to pick up the equipment I was blown away by the selection and the breadth of their pharmacy. It is really impressive. Never figured I'd leave a review for a pharmacy, but here I am. 10/10, they're fabulous.

Had to get a prescription written twice by my doctor and sent in again. Next time - I will stick to Walmart. I had never used Marra's before and the pharmacist was encouraging me to transfer my prescriptions here - I have 6 people in my family - so it would have been a lot. Lucky for me I didn't.
