Where will I get my hair products that not even CVS or Walgreens carry? Where will I get my TRAVEL ESSENTIALS Harmon is famously known for??? Folks who relied on Harmon- like myself and so many others had to look elsewhere. And like magic, this Harmon, on Quaker Ridge in the North Ride Shopping Ctr- not far from the Hutchinson River Pkwy in New Rochelle, was resuscitated by a Westchester businessman who saw the need to continue. Hopefully other Harmon locations will reopen just like this one. This location has ample parking spaces and the inside, is just as spacious with wide aisles- something my local Harmon didn't have. I can easily spend a few hours losing myself in the hair aisle, nail polish, the makeup section- carrying all commercial brands like L'Oreal, Maybeline, etc and everything else for that matter. All this with polite service.

The latter making it a go-to for me whenever I was planning a trip - I would go out of my way to shop at one of their stores. As such, you can imagine my sadness when I learned that all Harmon locations were closing as part of the liquidation of Bed Bath & Beyond (their parent company). Where was I going to get all my travel-sized merch? I made due, however I recently learned that this particular Harmon in New Rochelle was reopening, and since travel plans are on the horizon, I thought it was the perfect excuse to go check it out. How did this happen? Why was Harmon playing with my emotions like this? Someone queue up Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton. Based upon what I was overhearing while shopping, it seems that Harmon always did well, and that it was simply a casualty of BBB going under; they found a new buyer for the brand and will begin reopening their brick and mortar locations. This one in New Rochelle is the first one to open, and another one in Jersey is set to open later this summer. Walking in, I was greeted by the usual - the famous wall of travel-sized items, a vast selection of personal hygiene products, snacks, and cosmetics. I focused my attention on the travel-sized section, though I did make a few laps around the store just to take it all in. While they are still building up their inventory (specifically their house brand products), there's still a lot to choose from. Service was good, everyone was friendly and I was taken care of swiftly upon checkout. Overall, I'm impressed with the initial offerings that Harmon has, and am super happy to see they're back. This will definitely be my go-to once again for travel merch.

Dr. Pisarenko's mannerism, honesty, knowledge, and charm is what lead me to book with him. He's extremely personable and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Him and his team have been by my side before and after my procedure. I'm currently 4 months post-op and still have open lines of communication with him. My husband bought me a pair of earrings and a bracelet/cuff on Mother's Day (May 8). He gave me the earrings on Mother's Day (I didn't love them but decided to just keep them anyway) and he gave me the cuff on my birthday (June 19). I really was not into the cuff - it's not my style at all. In fact, even he said he didn't think it was my style, but my mom/the saleslady pressured him into buying it. So, a week and a half later after receiving it (towards the end of June) I tried to return it for a store credit. The salesladies who were working there were very nice and were going to take it. Then the owner walked in. She has super bad energy. She inspected the bracelet and said there was a speck of dirt on it (for all I know, that's how they sold it to us, as I hadn't noticed it before and had only worn it to try it on). She said she wouldn't take it back. She angrily said to me, "why didn't you bring it back before? I could have sold it!" (What a way to treat a customer, right?) I explained that yes, my husband bought me two items on Mother's Day but he just gave me the bracelet for my birthday a week and a half ago. (Also: I had my second baby on May 2 and was not getting out of the house that much at the time, he was only 8 weeks old at this time.) So she refused to take the $390 bracelet back and I'm just stuck with this item I don't like. I will NEVER patronize this shop again. And I've spent plenty of money there on brows, a facial, makeup and jewelry. I've told my husband to also never buy me anything from there again. The brow services are not even that good. I normally see Elke Von Freudenberg in the city for brows, who is much better and charges the same price, but I was not able to go to the city for brows due to the new baby.
