As the Duke of this location, I am not happy about what happened tonight July 29, 2020. A customer decided to take off his mask while on line, walked to the counter and had a discussion with the cashier with his mask hanging off his right ear. Unless your name is Vinnie Van Go there is no excuse for that. Even worse the cashier didn't ask him to put the mask on. When I questioned the cashier about the mask violation he just shrugged his shoulders. Maybe CVS sales are down and they need to spread the virus. Hey NY we are just lucky right now. CVS Pharmacy - Soylent green sold out? - Drugstores Near Me - MERRICK, New York

While I give the pharmacy staff credit for being hardworking and overworked the store itself was beyond dirty. This was a morning pickup and you could clearly see dirty tissues and other things on the rug by the pharmacy. This lead me to believe that the store had not been cleaned from the day before. While I commend CVSs understaffed and overworked employees one does wonder how a company who has managed to take over the RX business cannot manage to put some of their profits into cleanliness and keeping adequate staff on hand. End of the day I feel most sad for the people who have to work there. read more

This pharmacy is the only one that keeps my medicine in stock, if they feel that I try to rush them they say they don't have it and make me wait 2 extra days for the fill. I don't drive and have to rely on someone to pick up my medicine. I am disabled, but all they see is a script for pain killers. I'm on the verge of tears because of the treatment I received today. read more

The CVS in Merrick on Johnston place is without a doubt the most incompetent drug store I have ever been in. Their pharmacist don't care how many times you have been there to pick up prescriptions after they call and tell you they are ready. I will be going back tomorrow for the 6th time to get a prescription that I was told was ready for pick up. Six times waiting on lines just to be told it is not ready. Never again. After I get this prescription filled they will never see me again. The mom and pop pharmacies are so much better, even if I have to pay a little more. I least I won't have to listen to lame excuses. read more

Had to make a stop for some last minute travel items. I've been here before. It's a fine CVS. Always find parking in the big lot, but it can become packed with the restaurants around it. The staff is always helpful and the store is clean enough. It's your basic store. I don't see any reason not to stop by when in the area. I personally order online when I can, but sometimes you just want to pick something up. read more

So let me try to understand this. Multiple items in one area are listed as 2/$6.00. I select 2 items (not the same, but both listed as being sold as 2/$6.00) and go to pay at the register. As it's being rung up I see these 2 items come to almost $9.00! I question the amount and am told that because they are not the SAME item the 2/$6.00 price will not be honored. Huh??? Ya lost me. No, seriously you just lost me. I declined to purchase everything I had on the counter and walked out. Not cool CVS cashier. Walgreens will be happy to gain a customer. read more

My go to CVS. Both parking lots can be a nightmare so go during off hours. The prescription people are super nice and really get to know you... And I guess your ailments lol. Register people are nice and it's always clean and well stocked. I never had a problem. Sometimes there's some weird characters outside, don't make eye contact and just go in! read more

This CVS is convenient because it is close to home. I like the store on Merrick Road better because I know where everything is but this place is easy to shop At too. The pharmacy is quick and you can usually pick up your prescription within an hour of it being called I or handing it to the person at he counter. Nice that we have 2 stores within a few miles of each other that have such a large selection of all the things hat you need at a pharmacy! read more

Never get prescriptions here. I had been using them for years because they were close to my house but after countless times messing up refills and dosages I've had enough. They've blamed my doctors when it is over and over again their fault. If it is not the computer messing up my orders it is manual error. Usually go the CVS on Merrick Road in Merrick. My wife and I needed to get the Shingles Vaccine. The Merrick Road store did not have the vaccine so I decided to call this MERRICK Mall store. Spoke to Jessica the pharmacist and was told they had it in stock. Went into the pharmacy at 6pm and Jessica was very friendly and attentive. She processed our insurance and gave us the vaccine. She was gentle and extremely knowledgeable. It was obvious she loved her job and was great with people. CVS is very lucky to have her. read more

This pharmacy is ALWAYS packed and takes forever to receive prescriptions. The pharmacy area sometimes has only one pharmacist and one cashier. I feel sorry for them being overworked while being under staffed. They are both courteous polite people that help you out but when you schedule a pick up time and get a text it's ready and it's not...you have to wait there for up to 2 hours to get it "expedited." If they are this busy and successful they should do their customers a favor and have more staff to work the area to relieve the stress both of them encounter every time I have come here in the past year! read more

Horrible pharmacy!!!! We are switching! Every single time we need to pick up our prescriptions we are on line at least 15 minutes no matter the time of day. At times the medications aren't even ready after several hours the doctor sends them in. What really did it for me was my husband just went to pick up a prednisone syrup for my 3 year old and the bag was saturated. When looking into it the cap was never screwed on! The entire bottle spilled all over and now we are back on line waiting a second time! DO NOT GET YOUR MEDS FILLED HERE!!!!!! read more

This pharmacy is terrible. Every time I go there there is a long wait. Besides that they take forever to get a prescription ready. Thirty minutes from the Drs office to their store should be enough time. Waiting for a Rx with a sick child isn't fun. I am going else where from now on. read more
