Before arriving, I had no idea there was a bar. Love the concept of a coffee shop/bar. There is plenty of seating. I ordered a rainbow cookie iced latte which was very good. The staff was friendly & my drink was made quicker than anticipated. I was in the area and looking for coffee. it is a very cute place to sit and eat and have coffee. it was near closing but i ordered an iced latte. the servers are friendly and made my drink quickly. it was very good! my only issue is that i wish they had stevia in the raw rather than artificial sweeteners for a no sugar option but that's no big deal, really. read more

We've never been here for the Friday night Cafe- the only night they serve sharing plates. It was so nice to see old faces. The ambiance here is still amazing. They literally change the seating from the coffeehouse couches and upholstered seats and coffee tables to tables and chairs, both hightops and regular. The tzochkes are all around just make you smile. The service was great even when it was packed. A great band was playing but I don't remember their name. We had: soft Pretzels with brie and fig jam, shrimp cocktail, wings with a blue cheese dip, shoestring potatoes with spicy mayo and turkey gravy dips, and a quesadilla with Brie, pear, and fresh spinach. I went here today for coffee and the inside was so beautiful I wish I took pictures- I would 100% go here to get some work done or just to hangout with friends- the customer service was great too the women working there were super friendly. I got the creme brûlée latte, the coffee was good but unfortunately tasted a little burnt, it was also a little pricey. Since we moved to Bellmore 3 years ago, RS has been our go-to coffee spot. During pregnancy, immediately post partum- twins first outing- random Sunday mornings- it's our favorite coffee shop hands down. The aesthetic is completely up our alley with decor, style, it's exactly what we wanted and needed to feel at home in a town that was so new to us. Owned and operated by the former owners of RS Jones (at the same Merrick location), RS Beanery carries on the tradition of serving up tasty and reasonably priced drinks/food in a casual intimate setting. The eclectic menu ranges from various caffeinated delights to breakfast and lunch items like eggs, salads, wraps and soups. Decor is casual, arty and inviting. So far I've had their matcha latte, cappuccino, chocolate chip muffins, key lime pie and "that cake" - the latter a delicious coffee cake with thick white icing. Their bacon egg & cheese sammie on a roll is hearty and filling as well. I've seen people with dietary issues order customized off-menu food items too, which the staff delivers with a smile. Tips: RS Beanery offers a punch card that entitles the holder to a free beverage every 10th visit. On Friday evenings beginning at 6:00 one can enjoy live entertainment featuring acoustic blues, no cover or minumum. Light bites like tater tots, quesadillas and pretzels with fig and brie can be purchased. There's a small patio with tables out back for nicer weather, dogs welcome. While I still patronize chain stores like DD for convenience, IMHO they can't compete with the friendly vibe, unique drinks and homemade yummies that RS Beanery offers. I had went here to meet up with a friend. I fell in love with it as soon as I walked into the door. My friend and I are obsessed with the decor. It was not dark but not bright like you are going to get surgery. It was nice and quiet so my friend and I can relax. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a roll and their Harry Potter coffee and could not stop eating it. The service was great as well. When they were done making my food and my friends food they walked it out to us. Which was nice. They even walked our drinks to us as well. A wonderfully cozy and homey spot to relax with a cup of coffee or tea. It has a really warm and welcoming worn in feel. There are a bunch of super cozy couches and chairs, along with a mix of regular tables. So whichever mood and vibes you're into at the moment, you can sink right into. The staff makes you feel right at home with a great sense of humor and a smile. It's a really nice place to spend an afternoon with a book and good company. The tea selection was a little slim, all bagged and no loose leaf that I could see, but there were a ton of coffee options and some food available too. Their hours are a bit limited, closing a little early, so I haven't had as many chances as I'd like to get back here. But I'm definitely coming back at some point to enjoy the more of the cozy vibes. read more

As you step in there is a variety of seating including : booths , high tops , couches and tables! the decor is eclectic and fun . The lighting provides enough to do some work , but not too much to feel like it's bright . If you would prefer or are dropping in for a drink , you can sit at the bar! Yes ...coffee , liquor and food. Service was attentive and polite . They offer savory and sweet options . I tried the mushroom barley soup which was thick , hot and mushroomy! As I scrolled through some of the other reviews, I noticed they all pretty much hit it on the head with this place. It's cozy, the atmosphere and decor are welcoming, and from the second you walk in you feel like this is a place where they want you to sit down and relax. I haven't tried the food yet (other than the marble crumb cake which is good, though I'd love to see a plain, traditional crumb cake on the menu!)... but the drinks are worth the trip. Every coffee beverage I've tried has been creative and delicious, and you really can't go wrong with any selection. It's maybe a little pricier than like a Dunkin (think city Starbucks prices), but for the quality of the drinks and the incredible staff (plus the fully stocked bar for evening cocktails) it's definitely worth a visit! read more

Visit Date: October 16, 2021 I had to go to the bathroom really badly before taking my son and my father into the crystal store. After walking down Merrick Ave I ducked into this coffee shop/bar I've been wanting to check it out anyway. I was hoping to have a coffee and beer battle with my friend, a guy I was also seeing for awhile, he was going to drink the beer I was going to drink the coffee but he passed away from covid unfortunately. My son got the pumpkin loaf mini bundt cake I got the campfire latte. Both were really delicious. We sat outside and the outdoor seating is very beautiful and very interesting and eclectic. I might be back here for a coffee and I don't know if they have beers or just cocktails but maybe with someone who drinks one day to have a coffee and beer battle. read more

Love the indoor atmosphere with its tables, sofas, and decor. Has full bar and coffee shop. Ordered the cinabon iced latte but didnt taste the flavor much. Coffee was good but tasted like a regular iced latte. Find it pricy. Was $7.25 for it + .80cr ts for oat milk= $8.25. Bu it tasted equivalent to DD ice late at $6 max. If im paying starbucks prices for it, expect the latte to at least come with whip cream, drizzles, and taste like the flavor I ordered. Read few other reviews that said the same about their latte. Also, they dont offer size options. Only large size. The gooey cake is pound cake + cream cheese bakes in it to make or gooey. It was good but wish there were more creamcheese through out it so every bite was gooey. Was $4.25. The 4 stars is for the freindlt svx, indoor atmosphere, and gooey cake. I would return if I wanted to meet someone in a coffee shop. But i wouldnt come just to pick up a latte here again. There are coffee shops and there are beaneries. And there are beaneries, but then there's RS Beanery. This coffee shop is a Long Island gem. The owner obviously has an eye for detail. There are tables, booths, and barstools. There are sofas, board games, and books. The signs bespeckling the cafe will make you ponder the pertinence of coffee as long as your visit. I had an iced coffee, with a shot of pumpkin, and the liquid form of brown sugar (I actually had a choice between this and the spice). It was the best version that I've had anywhere. The "best" BEC roll in the world made a case for its moniker upon first bite, the yolk akin to dripping gold perfectly rationed. The apple turnover is good, despite the crust being a little too thick. The chocolate chip cookie is below average (no chunks, just little chips), but at least it's natural, I'll assume, though it wasn't baked on premises. All staff members are extremely friendly. The bathroom is clean. My wife thought the temperature of each coffee was perfect. I'd drive from the North Shore of Long Island to the South Shore just for this coffee shop. Amazing coffee!! I've gotten lattes (my go to is almond milk latte with vanilla), the campfire one is to die for, and I'm loving their breakfast sandwiches. I go for the egg white wrap but ask for it on a roll instead. While I work at a bakery, I must say and proudly admit their pastries are absolutely delicious and I would eat here everyday if I could.
