At the Sweet and Salty Ride Bakery that I came across in Merrick NY -Merrick Road, I stopped in. They don't have anything but one item that has whipped cream though it was lunchtime and they may have sold out. Most things while pretty were butter cream. There were a few Turkey cakes behind the glass and a section for coffees along with s one small tables and chairs inside. As. I didn't purchase it's hard to give a fair Star rating. The windows decor is pretty. (See pix)

Ordered a custom birthday cake for the first time from here and it was excellent. It was decorated so cute. The cake itself was not too heavy, not dry and not too sweet. It was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Delicious cannoli cream!!

I am a cannoli fanatic, so having this bakery near my home is a blessing! It's really hard to find a good cannoli on Long Island that doesn't drench it with sugar. I like tasting the creamy ricotta. Their St Joseph's filled with cannoli cream are also amazing! I'm not a rainbow cookie fan, but OMG they had some to sample and it was soo good and moist!

I ordered a red velvet cake for a birthday and it was great! First it was decorated beautifully. Second, all of my coworkers raved about how good it was. Texture was perfect. Would recommend

Here we are at a new location! Today was my first day ever coming to Bellmore, and it just so…read morehappened that today was my first out-of-state race! I did a 4-mile run hosted by the Bellmore Striders which was a lot of fun. I did it in 33:24.56, which while not my personal best was still good enough to keep me happy about my performance. Now why do I mention that race first? Simple really. After the race, I needed breakfast, and this was not only the closest local spot to the Bellmore station, but it's right along where I raced. Interestingly enough, these guys unfortunately didn't know this race was going to happen because they are a new business. Yeah, that made me feel bad for them, but given my visit, PamCakes has nothing to be ashamed of. When you walk in, it is a very small shop where you can all sorts of fresh-baked goods and some good coffee. Another person who was in that same race came in right after I had told Pam my order and ordered 6 coffee cakes. According to the owner, those coffee cakes are a popular treat here. 6 will cost you $21. My order was to get some loaded mini waffles that had chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and marshmallows on top. Each add-on by the way is 50 cents. I also got a large iced coffee with peppermint mocha. For the flavorings, they use Coffee Mate. I actually use Coffee Mate myself all the time! So to see that here was a great surprise indeed! On a summer day, this definitely hits the spot! As for the waffles, they are freshly made and made-to-order, so don't be alarmed if it takes time to get your order here. These came out very well, and my bill was less than $15! For this quality, to say that it's a steal would be a MASSIVE understatement, especially for somewhere along Long Island's South Shore! And Pam? She's a sweetie! She works hard while making sure everyone is happy with not just the order, but the service too. She's nice and treats you like a regular. Coming from someone who doesn't even live in this state, that's a HUGE compliment! The whole shop is clean, cute, and charming. If you're in Bellmore one morning, come on in and say hi! Grab something and thank me later!

Service: The bell on the door signals the counter help to come from the back if they're not already there. My service was immediate and helpful. Food: I got a pound of Lacey cookies, 1/2 white chocolate, 1/2 dark chocolate, both phenomenal. I also got there bread pudding. It comes in a loaf pan and the top hides the most luxurious Custard. The desserts were a hit. All gone before the other 20 deserts at the party.

I was really craving sfogliatelle and decided to give Vincent's a try after getting an old spoiled…read morecarrot cake, years ago. Sadly, my husband went there this morning and bought 4 mini sfogliatelle and 1 cannoli. Now, you should be able to trust that a bakery has fresh pastries. Well, not today...the sfogliatelle are stale! I would say not a day old. These are old, stale and should not have been sold. The cannoli was freshly filled and not stale but those sfogliatelle are a total disappointment. $14.00 thrown in the garbage. The only positive here is that I learned to never go back. A bakery selling old stale pastries isn't getting my business. Dortoni's and Leonetti's would never sell this to their customers. I'm insulted actually. You sold me an inferior product. When you go to a restaurant, is it okay for them to sell you yesterday's leftovers? Steer clear of this bakery. They do not care about their customers. You have a 50/50 chance of getting leftovers...not bakery fresh food.
