I came here at 9:50 on Wednesday Feb 4th, and the doors were locked. I am talking about the CVS @ 13800 Hull Street, 23112! Incredibly frustrating! I called the store multiple times trying to get to the pharmacy counter to ask if they could deliver my heart medication as I am not currently up to going out. The first time, I got that impossibly STUPID ROBOT who would not answer any questions, only insisted on the dumbest questions such as did I want the Instant Clinic. No. If I did, I would ask. I know I have a filled prescription. I didn't need the Robot to tell me I did or I didn't. When asked, I gave my birthdate, since I was not given a choice and it couldn't even get that right. I kept asking for a "person", the pharmacy, a clerk, a customer service representative. NONE OF WHICH DID I GET. I asked if they could deliver and there was no intelligent response to that. What is so hard about "yes" or "no". I then tried to look up the corporate number to see if there was an intelligent being there and somehow, I found myself talking to the CVS at the intersection of Centralia and Ironbridge and that person (it was a person) was dumbfounded to think I thought that I had been talking to the 13800 Hull Street Road store. I know what store I called (it was the same one that had been calling me on Hull Street to tell me that my prescription was ready per Robot.) However, I took their direction and called Hull Street again several times always with the same result of NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED until I decided to ask for the front store and once that phone got answered and I told the person to please tell the pharmacy to call me or pass on the message that I was trying to speak to them I was told, "Oh, I can't" but that dear clerk did ring the pharmacy. Finally someone in the pharmacy answered the phone and yes CVS could deliver, but only after I clicked the link they would send me, and she did. Because, the catch is: they have to ALREADY have my charge card on file. Well, by that time, I could NOT remember the password on the charge card and so NOTHING HAPPENED. YOU KNOW WHAT, WALMART DELIVERS AND THEY ALREADY KNOW ME AND MY CHARGE CARD. SO THAT IS WHERE THE PRESCRIPTIONS WILL GO FROM NOW ON. Dream on CVS. I was absolutely APPALLED last time I went into this location. When I went it my prescription had been sent to the wrong location which was fine and I just asked for a transfer. Was told 15 minutes until it was ready so just decided to stay in the store. Well 40 minutes go by and I went back up and the lady said "oops I forgot to send it" so basically wasted an hour of my life cause I had to wait an ADDITIONAL 20 minutes. But this wasn't the worst part. While I'm sitting there waiting, this old woman that was DEAF was ordering a prescription written on paper. And the light skin behind the counter kept avoiding walking over to her, telling the other employees he didn't want to have to deal with her. So basically I sat there watching this poor woman get avoided until finally the guy walked over, had messed up her order and just walked away. One of the other employees made a comment to him about how he needed to help her and he made a comment saying she could wait. The other person told him he shouldn't be talking bad about her and he laughed and word for word said "I don't give a d*** what I say about her she can't hear me". Meanwhile the whole time the woman is trying to get his attention since no one will help her. Disgusting behavior. read more

ONE star for the techs. Maybe. This place LOST my script (which I need for medical pain issues). Spent FOUR hours trying to get it resolved. And they DO NOT answer the phone. First time through drive-thru, I could hear "9 pharmacy calls....ten pharmacy calls....twelve pharmacy calls...." When I called, pharmacy NEVER answered the phone. When I called front store, not much better, as they answered, opined about my calling them and not pharmacy, then put me on permanent hold. Thank GOD for another CVS that had dedicated individuals, who worked SO hard to get everything straight, even after I was quite upset when they first said they couldn't fill my script. Kilmarnock CVS has possibly The Most Caring employees. From the Pharmicists down, they made me thankful, they made me smile. And they resolved my issue. I loaded up on cold meds for the upcoming flu season and saved over $40!! That's nothing to sneeze at!! Love the Puffs with Vicks! "Bringing more ahhhhhh to your ah-choo!" This CVS has the friendliest cashiers!! The clerk, Carlene, who waited on me was a hoot, and so pleasant!They opened up another lane as soon as the line had a few customers! They also had the cutest, most clever display for the cold season I've ever seen in a CVS! Barbie nurse taking care of a Barbie sick in bed ;-) adorbs! The CVS brands are comparable to the name brands and cost less! I also stocked up on sweets, greeting cards and paper products! As a CVS, junkie, this one rocked! read more

This is by far the worst CVS location I've experienced, it is also unfortunately the closest. I'll soon be switching to Mark Cubans website but until then I'm dealing with this location. They have previously filled my prescription with additional pills that were not my medication and regularly do not actually fill my prescriptions until I call and ask them to do so. (This is after the rx has been ordered and "in progress" sometimes up to 5 days). Once I call and remind them, they do it within maybe 15 min, so it's not that they are out of the meds. Todays experience might have been the most frustrating. I had 3 to pick up and went to the drive thru and stated that I wanted to use a goodrx coupon for 2 of them. The gentleman seemed confused and said he had to check. He let me know that I can't use it with insurance (which I knew, but no problem) and I clarified that I wanted to switch those from insurance to good rx. He stated that I would need to come inside to do that "but I'm not sure we have time for that because we close in 15 min". It was actually 20 min and I know from experience it takes a whole like 5 min to switch. I of course would never ask to do this within the last 10 min before closing but there was plenty of time. So I told him I would have to come back. I did not feel like arguing about laziness or paying $20 extra so I'll try again another day. I will say typically the techs here are very friendly and I do appreciate that. Just lots of efficiency and process issues. read more

This place has really gone downhill over the last 9 years- and Covid had nothing to do with 99% of it. The pharmacy staff used to have a great crew. I know people move on; but except for Phillip and a couple of other "old timers", the newer ones lack friendliness and caring. They put a "Rosie the Robot" check out kiosk in front, and we lost so many coupons (if the machine doesn't catch them right- they're already gone in a slot - you can't get them back) At first, (as I was told by a few former employees) the clerks were told to show us how to use it. By the time they showed us- they were just as flustered as we were! I will say they're not pushing that machine anymore; So, my advice is that if you have coupons, CVS % coupons or a question if wonder anything about a product deal or price- go to/insist on having the associate check you out. Was on hold on the phone for an hour trying to get help with a prescription and when someone finally answered the phone, the guy LITERALLY just mumbled into the phone jibberish, and when I said "Im sorry, what was that?" He mumbled again (very obviously intentionally) and I said "could you repeat that, I didnt understand what you said?" he then said VERY CLEARLY "Im gonna put you back on hold for a minute", and when he put me back on hold, 20 minutes later they hung up on me! I bought 2 dehydrated fluid bottle for my sons. On shelf show 2 for 11$ but he charged me 16$. He said I gotta have CVS card to have it for the right price. I said I don't have cvs card and can he help me to get them for the good price plus I really need it for my son asap and he said nothing he can't do and I gotta have cvs card when shopping at cvs. Then he made me to return them back. It was the lazy fat dude that tried to gave me hard time to takecare my kids. Unbelievable like wowww Then I went to Walmart and get the exact sameones for 8$!! Really unhappy with the pharmacy. There have been several occasions where I have called my prescription in for pick up and provided them with 24 hour notice. I show up at the time I said I would pick it up to find it's not ready and wait 15-30 minutes. I am currently sitting in the parking lot waiting again. Was told I couldn't sit in the drive thru even though there was no one behind me. I said I would be here at 9:30 to pick it up, but again I am met with it's not ready. This just reinforces that I need to tell them I need it hours before I do in order to get my prescription on time. I don't like that this is the answer but I don't know what else to do. I guess changing to another pharmacy would be the other option. Overall, it's an average cvs and has what you expect. I just don't understand why they can't deliver when given tons of time. Calling in a prescription for pick up takes just as long as walking in asking for it and waiting. I would expect them to reward people who provide notice and not have them wait. If this was the first time this had happened I would give them a pass, but this has happened multiple times. So I need others to know before making the decision to uses this pharmacy. Tonight I arrived at 9:30pm and did not get my prescription until 9:59. Thanks a lot for rewarding your customers who respect your time by not respecting their time. read more

This place is horrible and I wish my insurance never made me switch to them from Walgreens. If you call them, plan on being on hold for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes. Count your blessings if by some miracle they answer sooner. You can bet on at least 45 minutes. Also, their wait time in the drive thru is absolutely terrible. I am here to share my story about what happened today at store #1979 in Bailey Bridge, Chesterfield Virginia: My mother went to exchange an Item and in its return she was to buy few more items at the register. The Item that she wanted to exchange was not available at the store and so my mother decided to buy back the items that was originally returned. The cashier/ shift manager refused to sell anything to my mother; she grabbed all the items away from the front counter and proceeded to demand my mother to leave the store at once. I do not know if Holly was having a bad day or whatever was wrong with her at the time, but she had no right to have that type of tone and behavior with an elderly woman whom was a customer. She had kept on demanding for my mother to get out of the store and even when my mother asked to talk to the supervisor or perhaps call the supervisor Holly kept at it and said "I don't care if you call the cops even you need to get out of the store". My mother and I are from a different country and the only reason behind the cruel and horrid behavior that Holly had is Racism. Yes you read correctly racial discrimination is the only explanation that I can have for such an act. My mother left the store very upset and sad at heart, she was so upset that her blood pressure got out of control and had to double up on her medication just to calm her body down from such a stress! She called me and told me the story about what had happened and all I could feel the tears falling down my face. I have never seen my gracious mother so upset and sad at heart before. I became so concerned because I work for this company and I know the policies and I am familiar with the procedures, and I was so ashamed to see how a fellow co-worker would treat a customer; I am disgusted by Holly's behavior. I have never met this person and I do not wish to ever meet her, but I would say one thing and one thing only and that is no one on this beautiful country should behave this way. My suggestion is for the managers and district leaders for this store is to view the security tapes and see what happened today, and perhaps something may change for the better. I have yet to calm myself and my beloved mother; however a lawsuit may be coming your way. read more

I have to admit, I really love stopping into CVS. I do go in the for my perscription, which I have on auto-refill (and they are so nice about calling me to remind me to pick it up) but I also come here for my beauty needs. They always have some of my great makeup finds on sale or you can grab a new nailpolish or beauty mag while you are in snooping around at their other goodies. They have a great selection of vitamins and cold meds and even have a few aisle of snacking goods if you find yourself craving a few chocolate "fun bars". And, who doesn't like to parooze through the greeting cards- they have a ton for 99 cents so if you are running in to grab some meds, and forget your mailman's birthday, you can swing on in and get everything you need right there. read more
