Absolutely horrible at answering their phones - in all depts. I've been trying to return a call to the store manager for the past 3 hrs. After calling the main number, I've tried every extension hoping someone will pick up. After 10-12 rings, a message comes on that says they are experiencing above average number of calls and please call back. I've made 8 calls in 3 hrs - no one answers. I love this Walmart a lot, I probably come here like 2 to 3 times a week. I like to come early in the morning, they open at 6. It's always very well stocked and they actually have employees that can help you find stuff you are looking for (shocked). My only issue is that self checkout is basically the only option and sometimes your girl just doesn't feel like doing all that in the morning lol. read more

horrible. haven't been working there for 2 weeks and i already got fired, because i wasn't feeling well and had to leave. I also had to call out the week before due to family issues. there is absolutely NO communication. All the workers that i know of hate it there. They don't treat their workers like people. There's no concerns of the workers or the mental health. read more

I usually wouldn't be yelping a Wally World, but I received exemplary service from the Assistant Manager, Tameka. Kindness and customer service are so rare nowadays that I would be remiss if I didn't thank her and write so others could see how great she was. The Walmart app indicated that an item was seeking was in store. However, upon arriving I could not find it. Ms. Tameka did her best to help me find it in store. When it could not be found, she called Walmart to see if she could try and locate it. She ultimately assisted me in securing the item and to getting it in the most expedient and efficient manner. She was patient and beyond kind. I truly appreciate her help and kindness. PS- this is also one of the cleanest Walmart stores in the area. Totally different vibe here! read more

Okay okay so it is Wal Mart, but if you wanted to shop at any Wal Mart, this would be the one. It is clean, well staffed, has a ton of variety, a super nice outdoors section (found some really nice ferns for $5 less than what Strange's sells them for) , and there are a few things I like that i can only find at Wal Mart. When I am shopping in this store, I have actually forgotten I was at Wal Mart and not at Target. The cashiers that I have encountered have been super friendly, too. I live in the West end and when I am out in this area I enjoy stopping by here. read more

This pace was huge! I was just driving through and stopped in to see if I could get my battery replaced, and found out that the will only replace Watches bought at Walmart for liability reasons. Go figure, but staff member was friendly and helpful. I am not sure why the other ratings are so low, it's Walmart people. What you see is what you get. ;) I never thought I'd see the day I can buy groceries, buy clothes, electronics, toys and even birthday cards all at the same time. I'm not a Walmart person but this one is about the only one I will visit. Employees are so nice and helpful unless you come late at night then not so much. Then there's one line open and you have to wait for all the employees to buy their snacks and carry on conversations. Prices and selection is good and it's nice they have a large garden center. Weekends can be busy but that's the case everywhere! read more

The staff working at this store openly insult customers and there is no supervision. There is no way to resolve problems at this store. The store manager and regional manager are unreachable. Customer service puts me though to someone who has no information and can do nothing. read more

The subway here sucks!! I've had some bad experiences in the past but I'm though with this subway!!! Today I wanted to try their sliders and I'm telling you they are horrible! 1 teeny tiny thin piece of ham and a super thin slice of cheese. I asked them to not bake it and they did anyways. It was like rubber so I couldn't pull it apart. I had to throw it away. These people never listen because they have baked other sandwiches that I asked them not to bake. Also they give you an attitude if you ask for a lot of sides. They aren't friendly at all. read more

One of the door greeters that is here later in the day, I think his name is chuck (I'm not sure at this point I've made every attempt to avoid him) has made shopping at this location a very stressful task. It all started maybe 3 months ago at self checkout. I finish my transaction and it doesn't give me a receipt. I let the attendant know and he glances over my stuff and let's me go and I make my way towards the door closest to us (mind you this door is in view of this checkout) and this man Chuck comes to me asking for a receipt. I tell him I didn't get one from the machine and that the attendant will agree with me, I motion to the attendant and he waved at me that I'm good to go. Chuck doesn't like this and begins accusing me of stealing this and other obscenity's. I get fed up at this point and turn around to head towards the other door, as I'm walking away I hear him mumble "what and asshole" and something else but at this point I'm too far to listen. Now since then this man makes a point to single me AND my fiancé out every time we enter the store. From standing between me and the door when I try to leave to other times he will be IN THE SELF CHECKOUT AREA watching me checkout and then run to the door just to cause problems for me. He'll drop whatever he's doing nearby to make a point to single me out and make whatever comment he has against me, usually cursing at me or something of the like. To most recently yesterday me and my fiancé were leaving and we bout 5 items, I opted for a text receipt and we walked toward the door. Now at this time the fiancé is in pain due to an ankle injury earlier in the week so she's holding onto me to make our way out and we turn toward the door and Chuck jumps out from a corner near the subway, obviously trying to hide from us, scaring my fiancé to the point that she almost falls over. This man paints a terrible image on this location to the point where I've told most of my friends in the area to avoid this one and go to the one further down hull street to do their shopping read more

The only Wal Mart I visit. I am a big fan of their Grocery pick up service. I have tried the service at other local grocery stores and Wal Mart is consistently the best. The inside of the store is clean and workers are friendly. read more

I have to give them 3 stars rather than 1. This WalMart has only been open 5 years and they have completely renovated it already. The management must recognize it's location and realize they can not let it get run down. Also, they have installed self checkout lanes which they did not have before. This is the best Walmart that I have ever gone into I hope they keep it up. read more

The store is very unorganized the other Walmart that is up the street was better organized than this one, I had a hard time finding the foods that I needed. Some of the foods they didn't even carry in this Walmart I had to go to the old one up the street. The employees yelled at me about wanting to use a free item coupon and tried to say that I was trying to steal the item. Another time with a lady with a free coupon it was a cash back item, she refused to give me the cash back, I took my receipt to the guest desk and I told him that the lady wouldn't give me my money for this item and so the guy gave me my cash back. I purchased fruit in this store I Squeezed them to see if they were good or not, when I got home there was mold on them. read more

I realize that it is hard to rate a budget store like Walmart that is built to be consistent across the nation, but I will give it my best shot. This is one of the newer store designs complete with a large outdoor garden center with a propane tank swap-station (that converts to a massive seasonal section around major holidays like Christmas), a drive-thru pharmacy, Redbox terminals in the lobby, a combo Auntie Annie's Pretzels / Subway subs inside, and an on-site Woodforest National Bank branch. It is also very conveniently located, right off Hull St. at the intersection of Winterpock Rd, with other anchor stores like Lowe's, Dick's, and Hobby Lobby nearby. It is consistently clean and well-stocked. In terms of cons, my major detractor is that there is almost always a wait to check out, even in the "20 Items or Less" express lanes. Frankly, I've never understood why these massive superstores would bother installing 30+ registers and routinely only having a small fraction of them open at any one time. While frustrating, it is worth the hassle to save the money on what I shop here for, as Walmart's prices are significantly cheaper than the nearby competition of Martin's or Kroger. A smaller point of frustration is the Deli hours. They seem to change by the day, and on the whim of whomever happens to be working that day/night. I haven't quite figured that one out yet. All in all, this is my primary stop for ~80% of what I buy, and I am pretty happy with it on the dimensions of convenience, cost, and selection. read more

Nice store, quite surprised it has not been reviewed. Very clean, well laid out and it looked properly stocked. I was shopping for some winter workout sweats. Actually sweat pants in Black and also Red to go w/ my "The Ohio State University" Black & Red hoodie....lol.....that I had just bought. It's a big store and I wanted the heavier material but didn't see it ...hence I asked a young man for assistance who was stocking in the men's area....he immediately took me where I needed, and I had a great in & out shopping experience. Just like a fast food restaurant. Then, I went to my dentist's office in Hancock Village. I'd arrived very early, so back I went. A good day. $18 @ Wally World & about $1800 @ the second location.
