The CVS pharmacy at 734 Bridgeport Ave. in Milford has failed for more than 24 hours to transfer a prescription, which is not covered by Medicare D, to ShopRite pharmacy. Even getting the store manager involved with promises that it would be done within minutes this still has not yet been done at 5:42 PM. In addition, the CVS staff in the pharmacy insists that the pharmacist from ShopRite did not call to transfer the prescription which is not true as they have a log of the four phone calls and messages they left. Their new policy seems to be not answering the phone, but are to leave a voice message and good luck getting a return phone call. do business with the CVS pharmacy again. read more

If you use the pharmacy at the CVS located at 989 Boston Post Road in Milford, CT, try to avoid Noelle (spelling??). She is arrogant and lazy. For the past 4 years I have lived in two locations. When I travel to location "A", I inform the local CVS to transfer my meds to their store and vice versa. Last week, and for the first time, Noelle said she would not do this, and I would have to call each time a prescription came up for renewal. She stated this was the company policy and she did not have the time to make the transfer. I was the only person in line. She implied that her time was more valuable than my time When I stated that CVS does not always answer the phone, she told me they would call back. I complained that this was a waste of time for each of us. She brushed me off and told me to have a good day I later asked to speak to the manager, and she said she was the manager. I do not know if this was true, if so, CVS has a lot of training to do to maintain customer relations PS. I called CVS headquarters and complained about the poor service. I was waiting in line to check out when a man who had just walked in from lunch (a manager maybe) called me to the register since the only other one in there had someone taking a bit with her purchases (I was on my lunch hour). He rushed to ring me up, and I had my 30% coupon with me. I don't even quite know what he is doing, he rings me up super fast, I entered my debit card, I see VERY QUICKLY its looks like I am being charged $5 but he hasn't rung up my 5 items yet. Odd. I call him out on it and he's like "wait a minute, I'll show you, I'm giving you a $10 off coupon". Doesn't tell me why. DOES NOT ASK IF I WANT TO JOIN CVS CARES OR THAT THERE IS A MONTHLY CHARGE. TAKES NO TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE PROGRAM EVEN IS. Proceeds to ring me up super fast, my 30% off plus $10 off. You would think why complain for an extra $10, but how shady to sign me up for a program I neither asked for nor agreed to!!!! and now I have to cancel it myself AND CVS BETTER CANCEL IT ASAP. I wouldn't shop here again. Service is always nil, now you have a pushy, shady manager. Gross. Time for me to start going to another store entirely. Another review consistent with the rest. Terrible management, worse providers. In 2020, the year of telehealth, the pharmacist DAN SHAPIRO refused to fill a prescription from my doctor located in Florida. I have had the same prescription filled regularly by the same doctor at the same pharmacy since I moved back to CT in 2016. On top of that, I am a local dentist (across the street) who not only writes prescriptions that are filled by this pharmacy but has a license to disburse controlled substances! I always try to do the right thing, however. This also means that I am familiar with state laws and ethical codes, of course. For Dan Shapiro to tell me that having an out of state doctor is "odd" in 2020 and that I should get a doctor in Connecticut is a violation of ethical codes of conduct for pharmacists. There is a state registry of controlled substances where he could easily see that I have never filled extra prescriptions and have never been flagged for potential abuse or excessive controlled substance use. Instead, Dan Shapiro, the CVS pharmacy manager (and pharmacist), took it upon himself to decide which doctor(s) I'm allowed to see and became a barrier to my autonomy as a patient. I am filing an ethical complaint with the state board, writing this review to share a very real account of my terrible experience at this CVS, and I promise that if this isn't rectified (including an apology) I will not only take my business elsewhere but will try to persuade all of my patients to fill their scripts at a more professional and ethical pharmacy and stop using CVS altogether. Terribly run business, terrible employees, and what's worse: terrible HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS employed here. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else! read more

I called on Friday to refill a prescription. I waited over 13 minutes for an actual person to answer. During this phone call I was asked when I would like to pick up my prescription and explained I would like to pick it up the following day (Saturday). I arrived SUNDAY evening and when I pulled up to the pharmacy drive thru, I was told that I was in the "drop off lane". It should be noted, that there were no customers behind me and I was told to drive around and get into the alternate lane. In addition, there was not a sign indicating the lane was solely assigned for dropping off prescriptions. When I reversed my car and got into the lane the employee instructed me to get into, I was told that the prescription I called in on Friday (remember it is now Sunday) "WAS NOT READY!" I asked to speak to a manager. A female who identified herself as the Manager, Ashley, shared that the pharmacy is A COUPLE OF DAYS BEHIND filling prescriptions. I asked to speak to Ashley's supervisor and she told me she was not able to provide me that information. When I asked for the name of the store manager she shared the same information, that she was unable to provide that information to me. Instead, she told me I would have to call a 1-800 number. In and ideal world my score would be zero stars however, this was not an option. I was surprised that a pharmacy would be so relax in filling medication that is geared towards improving a persons health and quality of life. The associates exhibited a lackadaisical attempt at even a minimal "dose" of customer service. I hope this sort of "customer service" is not the type of behavior that CVS condones. As a customer, it is disheartening and a total turn off from patronizing this store in the future. read more

Unfortunately, we realized last minute that the pharmacy closed at 6 and my daughter needed an RX for a UTI. It was snowing and we left our house at 5:45 to head down. My daughter called on the way to ask if someone would still be there shortly after 6 - by like just 2 minutes she told them as we were trying to drive safe and get there. They could not assure us and suggested Ansonia for a 24/7-Not happening with the snow so we tried to make it. She ran to the back of the store at exactly 6:00 and it was all shut down. Tried to ask the gentleman behind the screens if he could just help her and he said no- same voice as on the phone. This was extremely poor customer service. I work in customer service and it demonstrated a pure lack off care for the pharmacy not to assist. If you want a caring, human touch - don't use this pharmacy. read more

Did a covid test at cvs. Entire thing was scheduled on line. Arrived 5 minutes early and was made to wait 1 hour because they could not figure out the "epic" system. After 15 minutes they kept saying "wait another 5 minutes". People behind me gave up and left. I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally they gave me the kit. I took the test and NEVER got ANY results. The EPIC system has no record of my being there. These guys are SO disorganized that it is CRIMINAL. Today I will go to walgreens where I know my results will be delivered to me. read more

Whoever does the hiring there hires snotty people... a newish middle aged woman with dyed blonde hair, middle aged guy with glasses that's been there longer than the blonde but not years, and then a younger woman with shorter blonde hair... they communicate but they're kind of rude... they all have that same aloof attitude... you used to have a younger guy in there for a long time that was always warm and welcoming and never sarcastic, very pleasant but I haven't seen him for a while... and it has nothing to do with age, it's the personality types you hire... but these other 3, you say something to them and they pretend they don't hear you... there is nothing welcoming about them... one of my family members won't even go in there anymore because of the way they treat him... when you ask a question, you want an answer, not sarcasm... so I take him to Walgreens. read more
