I live in Millerton and will not use the pharmacy at CVS. However, the staff in the front are friendly, helpful and professional. The pharmacy has long waits, is disorganized , totally impersonal and God help you if you need a controlled substance- they treat you like a member of a Mexican cartel. Would rather drive to Sharon Pharmacy where they know your name, are professional, friendly and non judgmental. read more

Using this pharmacy has become unbearable. For two days now I have tried to check on my med by phone and no one in the pharmacy every picked up. That's now eight phone calls in two days, and on two of those I stayed on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever picked up. When I went in person, and waited in line fifteen minutes, the clerk on duty could not tell me why a script they had received two days ago was still "in process" and not filled. As a out of towner this was my first time to use this pharmacy. Today when I went there the customer service was fantastic. A busy place on a Saturday morning. The pharmacist and the staff were multi-tasking, juggling many phone calls and walk ins. My experience here was terrific! read more

Two weeks ago I made a covid vaccine appointment at this CVS. No one informed me until I was there in person that they did not have the vaccine in stock. I was told at that time not to make an appointment and to instead call the pharmacy and ask if they have the vaccine in stock and then come in for a walk in. I had a covid exposure the following day and had to wait until I was in the clear to do what I had been instructed to do, but I did it to the letter. I was greeted on the phone in a very brisk manner that made it clear they did not want to speak to me, and after I asked if they had the vaccine in stock and was told yes, no opportunity to ask further questions were provided. I made the trip in - where I was told that the vaccine was not in stock for walk ins. I said I had spoken to someone on the phone, and someone behind the counter identified herself as the person I spoke to. She said she was not aware when she answered me on the phone that I had actually WANTED the vaccine. I am never, ever returning to this CVS, it is clear this is not somewhere interested in providing anyone with actual care. read more

Outstanding service here. Quickly filled a prescription that had been unavailable at other stores. Courteous, efficient and responsive.

Don't get your COVID test done here if you have a choice. Have been waiting in my car for over 2 hours. Have gotten the same test done in Red Hook in 10 minutes. read more

I have noticed lately,that you are always directed to use the self checkout and there are no cashiers in the front to help customers. This morning I was at cvs and a gentleman stop an employee. He asked if there was a cashier available to one of the employees. Her response was no, use the self checkout. He tried to explain to her that is doesn't use the self checkout and walked away. I've been tested here 3 times. Each time I was here for more than 2 hours. The last time the person doing the testing took off before I was finished and I waited 15 minutes for him to return. Ah cvs it is the only stress I have in life there absolutly maddening at the millerton store.wait 20 minutes at the window usually to just be told not ready. In my opinion if the pharmacist has to stop counting pills and take care of a customer, seems to me only a matter what of time that your going to have a mistake in numbers I'm waiting on hold for 25 minutes to ask a pharmacist a question.once I picked a script.no label on it.if your in the cvs window you wait so long that now there's people behind you and you cannot back out.most people don't shop at cvs but they used to use pharmacy now even that part of the store is at an all time low. Here's why the ceo a woman from Rhode Island refuses to hire more people and give them ins. And I'm sure the wages are very bad so there's things they could do.but while she's at the beach her attitude must be MAKE THEM WAIT it's better than hiring more people right! !.the stress level who are willing to work they are getting very bad attitudes from customers they are not the ones deserving of an attitude.I'm still waiting on hold for a pharmacist to answer a question now its been 40 min on hold . So what will happen is I will risk the med question hang up and hope you can mix.. simply maddening stress and blood pressure rise for there customers it's very sad and I will be looking for another alternative .if there were other ratings under 1 I would use it! read more

Is it bad that the Rite Aid in my hometown of Canaan is so depressing that I'll actually drive 15 minutes over to this CVS in Millerton if I need something? Worth the trip. Worth the higher sales tax than Connecticut's. Worth putting a few extra dollars into my mom's gas tank for. ;-) Overall, the are organized and have a large selection of what I'm usually looking for when I'm visiting home (a new toothbrush, a bottle of shampoo, some body lotion, et al). A few years ago, when I was still living in this area, I had to fill a prescription here, and it was no fuss, no muss. The cash registers are not always fully manned, but *shrug* . I've found pretty long lines here, so it'd be nicer if there was a little bit more man power at the front. No major complaints about this location. Like I said, it's infinitely better than what's in my hometown. Heh. read more

In the rite of passage of a visit home to the tristate corner, I got bit by a deer tick. My Dr back home faxed an antibiotic prescription to CVS Millerton. When I went to pick it up the next day, they said they hadn't receive anything. My Dr re-faxed it. CVS called and told me it would be $102. Salisbury Pharmacy had the exact same prescription for $48 !!! I thought a major chain like CVS would be less expensive than an independent pharmacy in CT..... nope, CVS was MORE THAN DOUBLE. read more

Had an appointment today at 12:30 for a covid test. Showed up at 12:15. There were seven cars in front of me. It took about half an hour for each car. After two hours I was the third car when they lost power, shut down, and turned everyone away. Two hours of my life (I'm 74) that I have lost. read more

If I could give fewer stars I would. THIS REVIEW APPLIES SOLELY TO THE PHARMACY. When I go to REFILL a prescription I have been told it WILL TAKE 24 HOURS!! Due to understaffing they said, but this is a relatively small town I can't imagine why it would take a day to fill 1 prescription. By the way it wasn't ready a day later either. I have spent most of a day calling the pharmacy and getting put on hold for 10-15 minutes at a time and finally got a person after WAITING ON HOLD FOR 46 MINUTES. That is after I reached a lovely woman working up front who sent her manager to the back to request someone answer the phone on two different occations only to be ignored by pharmacy. Month after month I have nothing but problems refilling prescriptions. I've run out of my current medication but I has been in the process of being filled for over a week now...their response is that only one person is working. I understand how difficult that can be, but there is no excuse for a prescription to take 7+ days to fill. I still don't know when I'll finally get it. read more

I would not recommend using the Pharmacy. The staff is short, slow and doesn't care about customer service. However, I shop the front store often. Cards, last minute gifts and everyday items. The front cashiers are friendly and helpful. More often than not there is a line at the check out. But you can't beat their hours and you can usually always find something in your price range. read more

Can I give a zero rating? Years of bad service made us change our pharmacy to Walgreens. We drive over 30 minutes to have our Rxs filled at a Walgreens in Torrington! Unfortunately, we had one lingering Rx at this CVS. Called to transfer the RX out and low and behold Millerton had the wrong bday so had to call them to change it. I had the rudest person on the phone who asked if I can't just remember the wrong bday?!? I said, WHAT?! I told her not to speak to me that way and of course I could remember but what wanted it changed to show the correct bday. That was the last straw and the reason for this review. We have endured rudeness, long waits (over 30 min in drive through!), incompetence, lost Rxs (dr said sent, they said didn't receive) in our years of using this CVS. No more. Last Rx transferred out. We travel a lot and this pharmacy is the worst! Avoid it if you can. Walgreens is far superior. If you can't drive to a Walgreens, you're stuck with the small, local pharmacies, but anything is better than this CVS. Another sub-par business the people of Millerton are stuck with. read more
