I've been very fortunate to have the Pharmacy team here prepare prescriptions (often more than one) in less than an hour. When they do not have a medication in stock, a text message appears on my phone. When I've reached a pharmacist on the phone, these have been informative conversations. As others have noted here, this js a very small CVS. I've used two much larger ones recently (easier to schedule immunizations per my schedule) and found each of them with bare shelves in some aisles and very thinly staffed. I believe CVS as a whole is under pressure and being challenged to succeed. read more

So back story ! I know it's many years ago but it's relevant to my experience today . When my son was two and needed a prescription i used this location. After i got home i realized the meds i picked up for my two year old was for a man of the same name but 84 years old , heart meds !!! Now today after my father was discharged from the ER he wanted to go here ,i reluctantly agreed ! Yet again they are not up to par! As you can see from the attached photo you cannot read the "important info" thankfully we are here to assist my 86 year old father with all the important info he may need ! I have been a customer at the CVS pharmacy in Milton MA for more years I can remember... year after year the service declines but we loyally continue getting our prescriptions here. The phone service is terrible, takes for ever to get to the pharmacy and once connected the waits are super long no matter what time of day you call. Today I spent over 1 hour on hold and never got connected. The people behind the counter are most of times unpleasant, and the pharmacy staff not always helpful. I will never shop at this CVS again!!! I had a one-time prescription filled for a nasal spray due to Covid. They filled the scrip but gave me 90 days worth (my prescription was 1 X with 2 refills) which cost me $75 after insurance. I realized this after I got home and when I went back to return the extra 2 boxed, sealed sprays, they said they could not take it back. The pharmacist said they just fill based on my online profile (without considering the nature of the prescription) and that I should have checked before I left the store. He also said I should have known based on the size of the bag that it was for 90 days. I don't have x-ray vision, nor can I judge 30 versus 90 day prescriptions by looking at a brown bag. The pharmacist was adamant that it was my fault and he could have cared less if I was a satisfied customer. read more

This is the WORST CVS I've ever been to. They say the prescription you're picking up loud enough so others can here & prescriptions typically take between 1-3 days to fill, makes absolutely no sense at all. I'm done w this CVS & would rather travel farther for better, more consistent & more professional service. They need to study up on discretion & how to be much more efficient. read more

I've never gone to pick up a script and have it be ready. Even when I get the call from cvs that the script has been filled. If you're going to this location to pick up medication, estimate approx 15-30 min wait time or that it not be available at all. read more

I transferred my prescriptions this morning from this CVS to Walgreens. Too many unacceptable situations have transpired recently at the Milton CVS for me to justify continuing to give them my business. Prescriptions are promised and not ready on time. If you show annoyance, a rude and hostile pharmacy employee comes running over to shut you up. Twice this woman has launched intro a diatribe against me for complaining. Who needs to be subjected to such behavior? No more CVS for me. read more

The pharmacy staff here is SO AMAZING, professional, discreet, kind, thoughtful, they remember you and engage with you in a genuine way. I have never had an item be out of stock. The only reason they aren't getting a 5 is because there are some very unfriendly older women who work the front end who often make it an unpleasant shopping experience. read more

I go to this CVS as infrequently as possible mostly because the staff is NOT helpful. It is also crowded and can be difficult to find things. I just waited over 10 minutes as the cashier rang in my purchases incorrectly and then told me "I don't know what to do." No one else in the store stepped in to help, and I ended up overpaying for my purchase because I did not have time to stay to correct the mistake or have confidence that it could be corrected even if I had stayed. read more

I so want to always "enjoy" my run into CVS. I go virtually each and every time I go to The Fruit Center and I must say the only reason I do is because it is so local to TheFruit Center. The services is horrible, the pharmacy ALWAYS has a line. If they ALWAYS have aline they should hire more staff It really is that easy. It's a CVS. In and out - how hard is that? It is cramped and crowded but I mean, get over it. it's a tiny convenient store.

What is happening to this CVS? It's never been great but lately it's been completely inept. I get calls and texts EVERY DAY from CVS: "Want to refill your Rx?" That's convenient albeit annoying. Then calls/texts saying: Your Rx is ready. Problem is when you go to pick it up ITS NEVER READY. And there's always a line of people in the same situation. And the wait time of 15 mins is more like 30-45. The staff are always flustered. The last time I was there the pharmacist himself threw up his hands and walked into a back room. If this were a rare occurrence it would be tolerable. But ITS EVERY TIME I GO THERE NOW. The tired old excuse of "we're having problems with our computer system" just doesn't suffice anymore. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

I vowed over a year ago to never step foot in here again after years of mediocre (at best) service, overstuffed aisles, and increasingly cranky cashiers. There are many other similar stores in the area that do everything better (including other CVS stores, particularly the one on Dorchester Ave), so I just go there. In order to save a few minutes today, I broke my vow and gave it another chance. Boy, was it undeserving. Crankier cashier than ever and not even the pretense of being interested in being helpful. Also, this CVS is seemingly unrelated to other CVS stores; if you buy something from another CVS that they don't carry, you cannot return it here (this has happened to me twice with different and not particularly exotic items). Its only benefit is being next to the Fruit Center, which it should take a few lessons in customer service from. (Note: I have not used their pharmacy frequently, so this review does not include that service.) read more

I am compelled to write a review after reading all of the negative reviews. I feel that the reviews don't give a balanced picture. Yes it is a small CVS, but I feel like people should get over it. It's a neighborhood pharmacy. I am so pleased to have it here close to home, the staff has generally been polite and nice to me, and the pharmacy has always been helpful. It gets busy and there are lines at peak hours like after work. But I feel that everyone there that I've interacted with is working hard and do a good job. read more

Without a doubt the most incompetent pharmacy department I've ever encountered. My family has several prescriptions on file there, and they mess up at least 3 out of every 4 filled. From problems with the automated refill system, to a stellar inability to deal with insurance plans, to missing promised pickup times, to waiting to work on a question with the physician until I arrive at the counter for pickup -- the problems are multiple, never-ending and, at this point, approaching legendary. In addition, the rudeness and cluelessness of the staff are without equal. I will be transferring all of my family's prescriptions and/or requesting new scripts from our providers, and taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have been using CVS pharmacies for more than 30 years and this is by far the WORST! I have never called the pharmacy and been helped by the rep who answers the call. There always seems to be the need to bring someone else in. The cramped store and long lines are minor inconveniences compared to the lack of training and poor customer service skills of the employees. I've tried to stick it out because the store is walking distance from my house, but I have no choice but to go to another pharmacy. read more
