Avoid this location for vaccine administration. I only went here because it offered the most times for the Shingles vax. I showed up and the same woman behind the pharmacy counter ringing up customers is the one giving the shots. The administration area is a tiny screened off area next to the pharmacy register and guys were banging into in while delivering things on wheelie carts. I don't think this person was well trained. She didn't explain what she was doing and didn't pinch my arm to avoid pain. She barely said two words to me. It was my first time receiving this vaccine and nothing was said about side effects -- just "you're all set" when we were done. Imagine someone who is nervous about needles, or a kid? But of course, this is not her fault -- it's CVS's fault who should have a dedicated person to give vaccines who is well trained at times when they are being offered. How can she be expected to ring up customers and give out vaccines at the same time? I'm sure she rushed through it as a result. I wish doctor's offices administered this vaccine rather than having to deal with this shoddy experience. read more

This place, not the front end, the pharmacy, has no desire to get you meds. They constantly are out of stock on meds I need every 30 days, causing me to have to wait longer the next time I get a script because that script comes 30 days later and is "too early"... even though the reason I got my previous script late was their lazy mistake. Now when u go to a pharmacy and the script was sent that day, obviously this can happen. No biggie. So after it happening for 2 straight months and leaving me without CII adhd meds for over a week each time, and this month needing to get my meds before a 2-week trip to FL, I asked my doc to send the script early on 5/20. I get a txt message "we're out of stock ordering it for you today" Fair enough, I couldn't pick it up until Mon 5/23 anyway, but at least I'd get my meds before going to Florida on 5/24 right? WRONG! I go in the morning of 5/24 (before my 4pm flight 4 hours later) and I'm told they dont have the meds. The rPh apologized in her defense but now im without meds for 2 weeks, it screws up my med schedule FAR WORSE now because after my next dr visit on 6/22, cvs won't fill the script until 30 days from when I pick up this one I never got which will be 6/5 earliest. They literally will NOT order the meds they're out of until you go in and say "hey do u have that script ready?" In 5 days, they realized they were out, did NOTHING. TO GET THE DRUG IN STOCK, and for the countlesss-th time have ruined my regiment by Weeks! Of course its a CII which means: 1.No i cant have it sent to a pharmacy here in florida, 2. Cvs wont transfer it to a cvs with the med in stock. Hell they wont even find u a location thats got it. You have to call cvs's like a moron asking the same ?'s repeatedly listening to covid recordings for hours, and, 3. THEN hope your doc can resend the script after hours have passed assuming he/she is available See images below of cvs saying they were ordering the med 5/20 and then the same message on 5/24... they did nothing for 5 days Oh and that BS you see in the text Bout getting you your meds that day? Hahahaha. Liars. Like I said they wont even find you a cvs that has it its on you! And even when u do, the next cvs needs a new script from the doc even though it CLEARLY is recent and valid. Cvs 5 blocks away can't fill the first cvs' script without my doc sending a whole new script. They blame DEA for this lol read more

1st off this place is always dirty. 2nd the two self check out screens are always filled with grime so you can't scan anything. That means you have to wait on a long line to buy one little thing. The man who works there is nice enough but that's not enough reason for me to ever come back there. I've tried so many times. Literally the worst cvs pharmacy I've ever been to. Such a shame because it's in a very convenient location. Kids and helpful pharmacists, which is the main reason I come here other than it being a short walk from my home. The only issue, which I would consider a major one, is that they are constantly and consistently backed up with customers. Although I know this is generally a highly busy area, I can't help but feel there is something management may be able to do that would lighten the wait time and improve the efficiency factor. read more

This CVS is not the most spacious nor does it have the best selection. Why do they have refills for products which they do not carry? Swiffer clothes without the Swiffer Sweeper are not really helpful to 90% of the population. However, in spite of the dismal stock, I feel that their staff is their best asset. There is a lovely woman working as a pharmacy technician, who is overly helpful and courteous. She went out of her way to make sure I had the correct medicine on a weekend (ouch corneal ulcers)! A few weeks later, I also saw her (a good sign that the medicine was working) taking her time to help a man find supplements. Though the location is small and understocked, the staff is wonderful and accommodating. read more

Utter and absolute ineptness/incompetence. I called the other day. The lady on the other end of the phone asked me for my dob and name. I told her. She asked me a few more questions. Then she asked me my name again. I told her again. Then she asked me a few more questions. And unbelievably she asked me for my name again. She also did this when she asked me what can I help you with? I told her I needed to transfer refills from another CVS. She asked me this question as well three times. She never said, "I can't hear you." She just asked the same questions over and over. I finally got everything squared away, or so I thought. So I showed up today to pick up the refills, and was waiting for 45 minutes, while there were only three people in line; two in front of me, and one behind me. Another lady then entered, cut in front of everyone, picked up her meds, and left. Ironically, the lady that picked up her meds and left immediately made some statement to the effect of the fact that she was "patient ". Laughable. The lead pharmacist ORDERED the other customer: "Have a SEAT!" This is no way to treat any customer. My rxs already had been waiting for me since yesterday; Why did it take the two knuckleheads behind the counter FORTY-FIVE minutes to handle three customers? read more

Absolutely disgusting. Was in the store by the pharmacy and heard the pharmacist yelling at a fellow employee. He was quiet and calm and she just lost her mind yelling, which left him looking shocked by the time I was able to see what was going on. How unprofessional! I've had my issues with her attitude in the past, but this was unbelievable. Heard employees talking about how she's always an issue and snaps on people. Never working with her again. Had to come here to pick up a prescription. The gentleman behind the counter had a very dirty lab coat so that was very offputting. Apparently my physician called my prescription into the wrong CVS. The lady behind the counter named Deanna was very indifferent and rude for some reason. She plainly stated it's not here and said nothing else and as I stared at her she looked at me like what? Instead of saying hey we did not receive it yet you might want to call your doctor to see what's going on she just automatically assumed I knew what was going on. Not only does the staff not make you feel welcomed but the aisle are never stocked! I've yet to shop here and get greeted either at the door or when at the register. I'm always the way to initiate it then the sales rep looks shocked and says it back. That's basic common courtesy every human being has. Aside from the lack of customer service skills as I said before the aisle are never stocked. For this cvs to be in such a high class area I don't know how nor why it's so crappy. Re the pharmacy: The people who work here couldn't be nicer but CVS - PLEASE!! - either hire more cashiers or change your system!! There is always a long line to pay for your Rx, even if you have been notified that it's ready for pick up. Because of the impatient crowd around the pharmacy, there is absolutely no privacy. Everyone hears your name, birthdate and sometimes your Rx name. It's been so frustrating every time I've been there. I am giving up and I'm taking my Rx elsewhere! read more

I moved from Montclair to NYC recently. The one thing I'll miss about Montclair, NJ is Jodie W. from the CVS Pharmacy. She ALWAYS went above and beyond to help the customers. It was a pleasure to deal with the pharmacy when she was working, which was not always the case. Jodie is knowledgeable, has a delightful personality, and conveys genuine concern for CVS customers. The pharmacy employees generally seem overworked but she never let on that the whining contingent of people in line ever bothered her. I wish I could recommend her for some CVS award. read more

This particular location is located in a great spot and fairly close to home. I enjoy this store for the most part but there is one employee in particular that compels me to give a 1 star rating. He is a heavy-set fellow by the name of "Javier S." and he works in the pharmacy in the back of the store handling customer's prescriptions. I've observed him several times treating customers like trash, especially non-English speaking customers who need assistance with translation. He is extremely rude, cold, unprofessional, and undeserving of that white lab coat pharmacists wear. He never cracks even the slightest smile and gives everyone the same dry, unhelpful, and condescending responses to any questions that are asked. I'm not sure if he is racist towards Hispanics or hateful towards immigrants but he sure does treat Spanish-speaking customers like garbage. The other pharmaceutical techs are super nice people so this guy stands out like a sore thumb. Jason, Yasser, Patel, and Naeem are all excellent pharm techs who know how to greet customers with a smile and treat them with respect. Unfortunately, this Javier fellow casts a huge negative shadow over all of them. read more

Food for thought: overheard a couple of the co workers speaking on how they scam reloadable cards recently but would have never thought they would be running it from inside the store. The very next day after reloading my card in the amount of $150, two charges was made out in Las Vegas thru via internet. One for $129.26 and the other for $20.12. They're really good at what they do! If you've been in the same situation, report it & post it on Yelp so others know. read more
