This probably is the worst Pharmacy I've been to while living in NJ and that's not me being hyperbolic! Where to actually begin, so I'm a chronic Asthmatic and my asthma is regulated by taking daily doses of Inhalers, primarily the Rescue inhaler and then the most critical one which is the Advair inhaler. My doctor always gives me a 3 months supply or refills and every time i had to refill my medications (they were never in stock allegedly). I've also spoken to several people in the near by neighborhood who also said it's not just asthma medication they seem to always be (out of stock) It ranges from Heart medication, to insulin this is absolutely unacceptable and something needs to be done because I know what a **Arbitrage Business** looks like when I see it. My parents didn't raise a fool, couple that with the fact that I've literally had friends who were pharmacists I've done my research! Someone at that pharmacy is taking medication not logging it and selling it else we're for a mark up that's why they seem to never have medicine, I've also clocked the Dates on the boxes for certain scripts that are filled they seem to be a month or two within the expiration date when on average asthma meds last up to 1yr some even 2yrs. It's my suggestion that anyone considering this pharmacy should not choose this place. It's only a matter of time b4 they seriously hurt someone and get caught! read more

Went to buy milk and a tooth brush.. lady forgot to put my tooth brush in the bag because she was talking to her manager about other employees not doing Theyr job. How about you do your job and put my stuff in the bag. Worst part I went back to the store as soon as I got home and they closed at 11. What a joke. read more

Pharmacy has claimed my prescription is on back order and cannot tell me when they might be able to fill it. Claims it has been on back order for months, but have refilled it countless times in prior months. Finally admitted they have "some pills" but need to keep them for ... that part is not clear. Meanwhile the automated system says prescription is ready for pick up and gives a time. This is the third CVS in the area that seems to use the "on back order" excuse to decide who to dispense prescriptions to. Staff looks blank eyed when you see them day after day for a week as if they've never seen you before. read more

I'm a pretty patient person but in the last 5 times that I've been to CVS whether to fill a prescription for myself or for my grandmother, it has been a nightmare. Even after I wait until I receive a text from them saying it's filled, there is still a problem. The pharmacists are all very nice but they need to change some stuff up to be more efficient and not have customers forever waiting. read more

This is not my first choice for a pharmacy in the neighborhood. Admittedly, I am generally a Walgreen's person but this CVS in particular has some flaws. It is not without its good points. Positives: Good location on Broad Street with more than ample parking. There are entrances at the front and rear of the store, which is very convenient depending on where you park in the lot. This is a decently sized location that is well laid out with wide, well labeled aisles. The store has a good selection of your typical drug store items and has some that others don't like my preferred mouthwash and leave-in hair conditioner. They also have a section that processes film and prints photos. They did a so-so job; I realize that I probably should have gone to a photo store but it is nice that they offer that service. Negatives: Prescription prices at their pharmacy are more expensive than their competitors. In addition, they had previously screwed up one of my prescriptions, wouldn't listen re: their mistake, and I then had to call my doctor so that he could speak to the pharmacy. And they have done this more than once. I now no longer go here for prescriptions and generally go back to Walgreen's. In sum, good for shopping but not for the pharmacy. read more

The line is long sometimes but I've never had a bad experience here . They ran my new medication through my new insurance without me even telling them. They are always nice and answer my questions. My medication I filled on time and I am notified in the app when it is ready. Easy peasy. This is my go to pharmacy. read more

Two entrances, but that's about the only positive thing about this location. No self-checkout and the wait line tends to get backed up. They also seem to have inventory problems as they're oftentimes out of specific products I'm looking for that other stores have in stock. read more

This store is such a ripoff! They just tried to charge me $24. For one of those tiny umbrellas even though they were 12$ a month ago....and it said $12. On the shelf! They really take advantage of people...the coffee is $16 and they mark it down to $7 and you're supposed to be grateful you're getting a coupon.....never shopping here again. read more

There are two CVS's in Bloomfield a mile apart which seems too close on one hand, but I had a prescription for a common antibiotic and the Glenwood one was out, and this one had in stock. They not only had it in stock, but got it filled in like five minutes. Also the Glenwood store had metal folding chairs for waiting, this had comfortable padded chairs. I've not spent as much time at this location as others, but it delivered what I needed when another location failed, so it really made my day. read more

I've been using this pharmacy for 4 years now. I have never encountered a problem. They are very quick and on point calling the doctor for refills. They will replace lost medication if this unfortunately happens to you. The line moves quickly because of the great staff and managers. When you bring in a paper prescription... They ALWAYS have it in stock and it's filled in 10 minutes! If the doctor's office electronically sends over the prescription... It will be ready by the time you leave the doctor and get to CVS. If I could put a zero on this pharmacy I would. For the past 3 days we have been calling this pharmacy to follow up a prescription we have been told that they will call the our doctor . And was told tht the doctor didn't send the prescription so we follow up the doctor and was told they already send the script. This was Tuesday today is Friday and we call the pharmacy we could not get anyone we were on hold for 20 to 30 minutes no one answer. read more

I don't see a lot of good reviews about this CVS, but we've had no issues at all. service is convenient, even though it's mostly busy at times. we feel that the staff do need additional help, especially at the pharmacy. It's hectic at times, the Pharmacist is often interrupted by phone calls, and we do see that the handle themselves well, but we can only imagine how hectic that must be. Stood in line for a while today, as we waited, we got the chance to check out other toiletries on shelves- hm! Maybe, it's a strategy to keep them busy at the Phamarcy. Overall, it's a commendable business, in an easy-to-access location, we've had no issues with the staff here, everyone has been pleasant and professional and we recommend this CVS without second thoughts. read more

As a former employee of CVS pharmacy I'm more critical of others when I visit a store. Where I use to work before the place was always kept neat and clean. The staff were super helpful and every day someone would always be in charge of "facing" an aisle, which means just going through each item and making sure it was facing one way and moving up all the products to the front of the shelves to keep it tidy. This CVS (which shares it's parking lot with Quick Check and Liquor Locker) gets a lot of customers but doesn't seem to have enough staff. It's always messy when I visit and staff are nowhere to be found when you need help. They've recently rearranged the store which makes it feel bigger but they need to improve on more than just looks. read more

I honestly dread going to this CVS and I only go because it is conveniently located. The lines are always long. It is always understaffed and the employees are miserable. On numerous occasions, I had an issue with some of the rude employees, specifically Elma who behaves as if you are bothering her when you ask a question. Her attitude and tone need to be fixed because she's nasty. read more

Regular customer of this store. Have personally witnessed some customers handled by employees inappropriately. Some employees do not wear name tags. Yesterday I went into the store with a 20% off discount coupon that I received via e-mail from CVS Pharmacy marketing. Coupon was good throughout that date. Cashier refused to honor it because bar code was not scanning correctly. It clearly said on the coupon sheet I printed out - "associate scan in barcode. if unable to scan, select sales tab, then select item #. Key in all coupon digits and press enter." Cashier called assistant manager on duty - his name began with the letter J. Without checking anything he walks over shaking his head saying "no". I was able to show him the coupon on my phone from my e-mail. He said send it to my card. Once you have printed it does not allow you to send it to your card. He tells me call Customer Service which I did from the store. After going through the menu options it tells you call back during regular business hours. It was 9 PM. Asst. Manager then tells another cashier (who was not wearing a name tag to call the police) -- over a 20% off coupon!! A few moments later I ask cashier without name tag did you call police? He says in front of other customers and his manager who told him to do so - "don't speak to me." Again, all over a 20% coupon which CVS sent to me to entice me to come to the store. Something is fundamentally wrong with the customer service in this store. No attitude of let's see what we can do to help. It's either take this poor and embarrassing treatment or get out! POOR, POOR, POOR service. Over 3 small items I ended up spending approximately 45 minutes in the store because I refused to let them handle me inappropriately.
