Just dealt with a very rude Indian lady at the pharmacy who has 0 patience. I'd like to mention before I start this off that i'm autistic and have a lot of anxiety when having to talk to people. Same as the other replies that dealt with a "rude" lady. I called to ask about a script I ordered online that gets ordered to CVS, since I was having an issue with the online service. She was very short and impatient with me as soon as she picked up, not even letting me explain why I called. Immediately getting the sort of vibe of her personality, I started giving flat replies because why am I going to keep be nice to someone who isn't being respectful to me? So then, she ended up having to ask me why I called, so she wasted both our time shutting me up in the start by not letting me initially explain why I called! Towards the end of my call, she literally told me in a hostile/annoyed tone after finally explaining why I called. "This isn't our problem, there is no script for you go to the person you called" Oh yeah, she also kept asking me over and over again the name of the company I ordered through (Wisp). I didn't get annoyed at her for repetitively asking me, yet she had 0 patience for me. I told her right before I hung up (in now a more hostile tone) "you don't have to be so rude to me. I was just calling to see if there was a chance this script got filled or not, goodbye." Just gave her back a nice dose of the tone she gave me. I cried after I hung up because this stressed me out. I somehow managed to stay strong and not cry when she picked up the phone initially. I think the power of the pain my UTI is giving me right now gave me a thicker skin I normally don't have. I was literally just checking to see if by chance there was still a script so I wouldn't have to get driven all the way to the pharmacy. I hope more people address this person. I've also gotten an impatient /standoffish man in the past, not as rude but still, why? Please stop hiring rude people CVS, especially for people that have special needs. While my autism isn't high functioning, we need people who are patient to deal with those who are higher functioning or have any sort of special needs. I guess I'm surprised by the other reviews on here. Came to specifically commend the staff at this CVS pharmacy for always being attentive and caring. I have trouble with my Rx insurance almost every month and the staff here have always been sympathetic, even when there's nothing they can do for me. I'm sure there's not much they can do about being short staffed, like many other industries at the moment so anyone complaining of the wait, please be patient! Anyway, thank you to the pharmacy staff for your kindness and patience with my Rx issues!! read more

Horrible pharmacy. CVS is a disgusting joke. Always a line no matter what day of the week or time you go to get a prescription. Some of the Pharmacists are nasty ,short tempered and rude. Their counter help is miserable and not friendly. Like many other professions they forget that they work for you and you are the customer. Do you want to avoid Covid? How are you gonna do that when you have to stand online with 10 other people for a simple prescription? Having needs for given prescriptions is a normalcy. Filling these given from a M.D. at what is a pharmacy from a CHEMIST providing this service is too. But not here . It is surprising to me and thousands of others that the pharmacists here are reall ..lacking..( thats a real nice word) the loquacious palaver uttered from them is like having nipples on a bovine bull... Yet another update. If you show up even less than 5 minutes after they close , note Saturday 6 pm you cannot get your meds. Even if it's life threatening. There's no empathy here. What you have are uncaring people that shouldn't be in healthcare. Perhaps in in corrections. Sad place. read more

Writing this for CVS corporate. I've been using CVS Kinderkamack Rd. Montvale NJ location since 1998. On hold 26 minutes to speak with someone in the pharmacy to no avail. And this is not the first time. Occurring more frequently, more recently. Corporate get it together, your pharmacies need help and need better staffing. read more

I recently stopped using cvs in montvale because it was NEVER an easy experience. However my doctor sent my recent prescription there because i never changed it in my file. So I called on Saturday to see if they received the prescription request from my doctor. They said yes- it'll be ready by 3:30. I wasn't able to get there so i called Sunday prior to going there just to confirm it was ready. It in fact had not been filled like they said it would be. They once again said- it'll be ready today by 3:30. I knew i couldn't get there at that time so i asked my parents to go pick up the medicine. They got there at 3:30. The pharmacist said it wasn't ready yet but that it would be ready in 20 minutes. My parents returned 20 minutes later at which time the pharmacist let them know that they don't even have the medicine necessary and they won't have it until Tuesday. Between the person i spoke to Saturday, the person i spoke to Sunday, and the person my parents talked to who said it would be ready in 20 minutes... how did none of those people not know that the medicine wasn't even in the store??? It's always awful there and once i get this medicine i will be sure to never return. read more

I went to the CVS on Kinderkamack Road in Montvale yesterday. Several people were without masks. When I complained to the cashier, she replied that there was nothing she could do force people to wear them. This is mindless. Prescriptions are being filled in the pharmacy section of the store and possible could be contaminated by covid particles. People should consider this before having their prescriptions filled at this store. read more

Pharmacy went downhill after the good pharmacists left and after the hours changed, the long lines started, prescriptions could be refilled online but didn't transfer to the store. Prescriptions would be lost and you'd be told it needs to be ordered when they had it the whole time, it's just a mess. Any monthly prescriptions I go to Lewis drugs in Westwood. read more

I feel bullied into giving 1 star because I want to really give a negative 5! It's amazing how CVS never fails to FAIL. They are horrible and so frustrating in every aspect. I now only go to a local mom/pop pharmacy closer to my job but sometimes an emergency comes up and need to come in to this dreaded place and always leave annoyed and upset. read more

This location has what you're looking for. It's been renovated so it's different than the old days. Staff wanders around aimlessly and is useless as expected. Thankfully the aisles are labeled clearly so you know where you're going and what you're doing. In and out with no problems, so it gets the job done. read more

I can't even begin to express my frustration for this location... Just the pharmacy in particular. Every prescription takes at least 5 hours to get filled. My infant's antibiotic was called in at 2:00 pm, and by 8:30 pm (her bedtime) her prescription was STILL not ready. If it was vitamins or anything else, fine...I wouldn't be AS upset, but an antibiotic for an infant with a chest infection is something that should be prioritized or at least completed in a timely manner. And if I have THREE pending prescriptions, don't tell me on the phone, "They'll all be ready in 5 minutes." and have me wait in the store another 45 minutes while you fill my other 2 prescriptions! Pharmacy experience was awful. They ignored my phone calls repeatedly so I decided to come in person. I had a question about a prescription and was asked to step to the side for assistance, only to have the technicians ignore me for twenty minutes afterwards. Pharmacist was rude and unhelpful. She instructed me to go back to my doctor and insurance company, which I had already done prior to coming in, and would not listen when I tried to explain this. This place is just useless. I'm done with this branch. Friday evening, busiest time, queue half the length of the store and they still only have one desk open. It's not like they are understaffed. There are 4 people on staff but the other 3 refuse to leave the posts so they can minimize the customers wait. It's an absolute joke. Please go somewhere else. This place is awful. read more

This location was my go to pharmacy for almost 20 years. Don't know what happened. From the time they stopped offering 24 pharmacy the service has sadly gone way down. My doctor called in a new prescription and I tried to call to see if it was ready. Was on hold for over 10 min and no one answered so I hung up and went there. Waited in line for 15 min and it still was not ready (over 4 hours after my MD called it in). Will not be going back there. Lots of better pharmacies in area. read more

a 24/7 drugstore that is huge! Very bad and shady experience with this CVS. My daughter was prescribed a liquid antibiotic for an ear infection. The dose was 1tsp 2 times a day. On day 6 we ran out. It was properly stored and properly dosed. When I called CVS they explained that the medication starts out powder form and a machine adds the amount of water necessary for the dosage. She then explained that the medication does thicken up and that may be why it ran out early. They then said I have to pay for a whole new refill. So, I follow directions properly but was not given enough to finish the prescription and CVS Pharmacy tells me to buy a refill for their inability to accommodate the drug thickening up and in return not being able to give my daughter the proper dosage prescribed by her doctor. Pretty disgusted, I will take my business else where. read more

Tried calling for information on my prescriptions and no one would answer the phone. Spent several hours and 10 tries before giving up. For an extremely busy pharmacy, they handle the crowds with a smile and helpfulness. The staff in the store itself is always helpful and willing to help you find something in a heartbeat. I am not sure, but they may have staff that is just there to assist puzzled looking customers. Their sales are good and their rewards program is excellent. read more

this pharmacy is really the best. every time i have a question, the pharmasist gets on the phone and has an answer. the staff is so friendly and there rarely is a line for drop off or pick up. i think they go out of their way to help out customers. store prices are insane but the pharmacy is the best. read more
