This was a great stop as we're headed out of Morganton because I didn't need any over-the-counter medications or greeting cards, but I did need a restroom and this one is available though you do have to get the key from the staff. And after that, I made a quick withdrawal from the ATM so I would have some cash. The pharmacy wasn't open this early on Sunday morning but otherwise the store was in good order. Over the past 2 years this pharmacy has gone way downhill, seems like the kind techs and pharms have left and it's like every time I go I see customers being talked down to/medication names blurted out loudly in front of several ppl I knew in this small town/customers are crying or obviously upset for what usually sound like reasonable reasons. I've been on the same medication filled monthly automatically for 2 years and every single month for the past year they have been out of it and have to order- it's a common med and waiting 2-7 days messes me up bad. I asked pharmacist Jeffrey Czarkowski for any recommendations of what to do during the 2-7 days I would be without my 2 mental health medications and he refused to answer me 2x (I was being kind and genuine, not instigating tone). Then he yelled at me, "ARE YOU LISTENING TO WHAT I SAID?" I said yes I am, but what did you rec bc I'm not getting it I guess. He yelled at me again, "THEN WHAT DID I SAY?". I said I don't know I'm trying to get your rec as a doctor. He said "I TOLD YOU I'M GOING TO LOOK FOR IT". Czarkowski literally yelled at me multiple times and was bizarrely rude, I say that bc it was irrational and odd. He refused to answer my medication question that was totally normal pharmacist related questions that should have been simple. Czarkowski was shouting at me the name of the medication from his station at the pharmacy 6 ft away telling me to just wait. He told me to wait so he could try to "locate" the medication they were out of, and that they might have something (??). I waited for 20ish minutes, then the store was closing and the announcement said to bring purchases to the front. There was several other people around the pharmacy and Jeffrey Czarkowski was on the computer and I couldn't get his attention, so I went to the front and purchased 2 items. This took less than 5 minutes and I immediately returned to the pharmacy. They had closed the metal bars that go all across the pharmacy, and I asked Czarkowski and a short female tech if they had found anything. They said "WE'RE CLOSED THE GATE IS DOWN". I said I was the one waiting for Czarkowski to look for my med (they were out of my TWO mental health meds). He yelled that they were closed. I said I had been waiting for almost 30 minutes and Czarkowski said too bad. I've never had an allergy to a medication or a particualar manufacturer, but there is one medication that I can have any manufacturer except just one bc it gives me hives around my nose mouth and stomach/vomiting/migraines etc. (I have epi pens for other reasons, but this could be serious) Jeffrey Czarkowski said repeatedly that he could not request/order any other kind he "just gets what they send me theres nothing I can do". My provider wrote her order specifically as previous CVS pharmacists have said (to exclude the brand that I'm allergic to) but he didn't care. Trying to get medications, that I've gotten monthly for years, was like going into a battlefield. It's often a bad experience there (rude employees, tension, meds not ready when they are listed as such online and via text, etc.) but this was next level even for CVS. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because they are usually working short-staffed. There was a time when they were fast and efficient. However, as the work environment changes stockholders want more work with less staff. Point in case efficiency, promptness and productivity fall. I too, have sat in the car or stood in line for 20 or more minutes and watched all the staff working as quickly as possible. I would rather die than go back into this CVS store on Green St. in Morganton NC. They run it like they are pill nazi's and if you don't do as they say they ignore you and won't serve you. If you want somebody to be in a particular spot then you should make it more plain, not just a piece of curled up paper that no one can read taped to an overhead board that nobody pays attention to. Ive never had any cvs to be so rude and disrespectful to its customers . That was my first visit to that particular store and they were rude from the moment I stepped up to the counter of the pharmacy. I went in first thing on a Saturday morning and asked for a Covid vaccine. No one else was there but I was told I had to have an appointment. I tried scheduling it online multiple times. Every time, I would select to schedule an appointment for an individual and then get a blank screen. when I tried calling the pharmacy to schedule, it told me to schedule online. I ended up going to Walgreens since they would see me right away, and they were extremely nice and accommodating. read more

I have been a long time user of CVS pharmacy. The CVS pharmacy in Hickory always ran like clockwork. They were competent, professional and compassionate. I moved over a year ago to Morganton NC and moved my meds to the Morganton location. I have been nothing but disappointed in this location. The medications are never ready on time and even though there always appear to be a large number of people working they always say they are short staffed. The staff look right through you like you don't exist. I recently spent 30 minutes in the drive thru and not one car in front of me moved. I will be finding a new pharmacy!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, the pharmacist Chris was extremely rude when asking to have insulin and diabetic test strips refilled. Saying that we could not use pregnancy Medicaid to cover but as soon as we switch to another pharmacy they're covered. He didn't want to waste his time to look up my wife's health insurance information just wanted to speed up the process by denying us. I would avoid this pharmacy like the plague as well as the pharmacist Chris. Made a second trip after speaking with Medicaid case worker and verifying that insulin and test strips were covered. Get to window and they again deny us saying Medicaid covers no medications or prescriptions, their lack of care and willingness to know what they're talking about sicken me. read more

Every time I have been here for the pharmacy they are incredibly rude. They act like I am a drug addict for filling my daughter's prescriptions and even when I call it in ahead of time and they say its ready, I typically have to wait anywhere from 20-45 minutes after arriving before it is ready. They have a drive through window but act like it's a major inconvenience if you use it, but I do not like going inside because if I walk through the store they watch me like a thief. read more

Been in here several times over the last five years, and just realized I hadn't written review. Not all that surprising, really; as I've either been fetching Rx for myself or my grubmate. On that level, the pharmaceutical types behind the counter are both super-fast AND super-friendly, important if the goal is to get the meds in or on the body where they can begin working their magic. Important also, if one might have a question regarding use or things to avoid while taking the meds! I like receiving a phone call announcing that my pharms are ready and waiting, usually by the time I arrive from my doc. While most all 'drug stores' have lost the soda fountain they have gained in the food/sundry area. Yes, not the most economically viable option, but certainly convenient if a quick item is needed and one isn't feeling well, allowing a hassle-filled trip to the grocery to be avoided (yay!). CVS has the (now) usual drive through pharm-window, an even better option if one feels as though the Grim Reaper is lurking in the back seat! Enter the level, well-marked parking area by the most convenient means, but strongly consider making your exit from the access drive between the store front and the Bojangles eatery. The signal light and dedicated turn arrow and lanes will make for a much safer exit! read more

Went to purchase needles tips for my injectable prescription medicine. They had them for $48. I wanted to pay with Healthcare savings card but he couldn't scan the needles. He tried to enter them as just a random $48 but of course my HSA card won't cover something unless it's labeled medical. They wouldn't do anything to help me and did not seem to care. The pharmacist was in a terrible mood ordering Michael to lock the window and ignore customers that pull up. Michael who was assisting me flippantly said call your doctor and get a script so you don't have to pay at all and walked away. None of that helps me take my medicine tonight. No where else is open and I will now miss my dose tonight. I'm furious, frustrated and changing pharmacies! read more

Visit #1 to pick up said ready prescription = leaving empty handed due to being sold out. Visit #2 to pick up said prescription = waiting 45 mins to find they still could not fill it. Giving them 3 tries to fill a simple generic prescription is crazy so we called across the street to Jones Drug and guess what???? It was in stock and was less than half the cost of CVS filling it and best news yet. 5 minutes later I was out the door. read more

Love the convenience of this store. I'm not a coupon person but CVS makes it so easy to keep up with them and they are for products I use.

I no longer drive due to medical reasons. My sister who lives in South Carolina comes up every two weeks to run errands for me and pick up my prescriptions at CVS. I always call them in the day before so they will be ready for her to pick them up. At least every three months or less I get a call from CVS that they are out of one or more of my prescriptions and I will have to wait and pick them up the sometime the next week when they get some more in. I have tried to explain to them that I have no way to get them the next week unless I pay $40.00 for a cab which I don't have to spare but their attitude is they could care less and that is my problem. What kind of pharmacy runs out of medicine? Do they not have some kind of system that tells them when they are running low and need to get more in? For some people taking their medicine is a life or death necessity. I have made up my mind if this happens again I am through with CVS. read more
