I recently placed an online order at this CVS location, 2030 Hillside Avenue and it's been nothing but one problem after the other with receiving help and customer service here. Now it seems like at 2pm yesterday I received an email notification that my online was "picked up". By whom? I didn't authorize anyone else to pick up my online orders and they need to do their job by checking identification and scanning bar codes before handing out any orders for pickup. Now it's back to calling customer support by phone to place a new order. I will be staying away from this location going forward. read more

If I could give a 0 review, I would. So DON"T even bother going to this CVS. The staff is extremely snotty and unprofessional. They hang up on you, make you do all the work, like calling your Dr. for authorization on meds you don't need authorizations for, keep telling you that your insurance is not covering Diabetes medications, and I can keep going on and on on how lazy the staff are, but I don't feel like being here all day complaining because all it's doing is raising my blood pressure. Smallish CVS with parking lot attached. It feels crowded I.e. stuffed with product and little room for movement. I added my 35% off a full priced item coupon and picked up a box of razors at a great price. Their couponing game is strong. The best approach here is know (what you want) before you go. read more

I went into CVS to pick up a few things and there were plants on the shelf for sale. Most of the plants were dead and a few were near death. All had been deprived of water. They were left there to dry out and die. I asked about them and who is watering them. The manager replied they are dead and all getting thrown out. I asked if I could take a few that were still clinging to life and it was a big nNO. He said he needed the plant to scan the pot to get credit. I asked if I could just pull out the plant and he would have the pot to scan,another NO. They were so dry they were hanging out of the pot. What a disgusting way to treat a living thing and your store's merchandise. The store's lack of good customer service is bad enough and now the lack of care for a little houseplant. CVS you really need to care a lot more if you don't want all your customers going to Walgreens. read more

They have. Some birthday cards 2 for $4. Which is a great bargain... Although i was looking and purchased some ferrero rocher chocolates some of the packages are broken and dusty. Not very impressed and usually their selection is better.... Smaller CVS that seems to have a large senior customer base. The store is clean and semi tidy. A little dusty as my allergies went crazy during my time in the store. Be careful in the parking lot. It gets full and the customers dont seem to pay attention when backing out (just my experience). Helpful managers, but again, not enough employees to work the store. This 2030 hillside ave CVS PHARMACY needs to shut down. The store is okay but the pharmacy deserves ZERO star. The pharmacist JASMINE is the worst pharmacist i have ever met. She is ignorant, arrogant and thought that the customer knew NOTHING about medicine. She likes to ask IF YOU HAVE AN INSURANCE????I have been to this location for more than 3 years for my prescriptions she would even comment on oh why you have this conditions? you are so young?!!! NONE OF YOUR F-ING BUSINESS!! When you received a text saying the prescription is ready for pick up, it might take them awhile to find the item when you are there to pick up. There is once that I have to wait for them to do a new refill on the spot because it is a huge mess in there that they are going through a pile of prescriptions and can't find it even though it says it's done refilling. They are ignorant,disorganized, INCOMPETENT, slow and just the worst!! I am definitely transferring my prescription to walgreens, can't deal with all these anymore, waste of my time and energy. Honestly they are slow and no ones ever at the counter but I come here every once in a while and get my stuff and leave. Today I asked for a rain check and was looked dead in the eye and yelled at. she literally just said no and nothing else. I've encountered the really long wait lines at the pharmacy and front but I've never been yelled at like that before like I was a child. This is just your run-of-the-mill CVS. Nothing spectacular going on here. The front desk is a hit or miss - either you get the best clerks (more than willing to help you out and are cheery as fudge) or the worst ones (they look like they're slowly dying a miserable death and move at snail pace). This place is usually clean and organized - I've never seen it as a hot mess. The parking lot is a decent size and maintained well. I generally visit this place to pick up my prescriptions (I rarely ever shop for anything here unless I have to wait around for my prescription to be filled). Props to the pharmacist and their interns who always remember my name! The only downside of the pharmacy is that there is no privacy - none when the Pharmacist/Intern ask for your name, DOB and address (anyone nearby can be a stalker or thief of identity!!!) or explain your medication to you (hello HIPAA!). read more

In a simple word horrible. I don't understand the way people in Nassau County work. They are never at the cash register. What is it for free if there is no cashier? Am I missing something? Anyhow I waited 10 minutes and no one came. I walked to the back and the nice pharmacist Jasmine attended to me. She was the only bright spot of my whole shopping experience at this CVS. For two days only January 25-26th, 2009, CVS was having a sale $40 for the digital converter boxes and I literally called every single CVS store in the vicinity of New Hyde Park, Elmhurst, and Levittown areas. Out of all these stores, only this CVS was kind enough to put me on a waiting list and would call me when it was available. Sure enough, I got the call today 1/28/2009 and they said they have the box with my name on it and will hold it for me. WHAT service... Even though they didn't have two boxes as I requested, at least they made the effort to get my business. They asked me if I got the reincheck and I told them it was issued two days ago. The nice lady said she would take it. My reincheck had yesterday's date on it. I hope they take it when my dad gets there. I told them that my dad would pick it up and they said okay as long as he mentions my name since I reserved it with my name. read more

No ones at the register which is fairly odd to have to search the store for an employee. Another issue is the actual pharmacy it's self. Jasmine is the pharmacist who is extremely nasty, if there is a problem with your insurance she tells you to call them an goes to the next person. The insurance company can't answer any questions because they need to talk to the pharmacist on there direct line. I found that she does this to buy some time to help other customers. Even if you call in advanced and go to the pharmacy 4 hours later they still don't have your RX ready. Sometimes they say your Rx is ready and they don't even have the medication in stock. The other assistant with the blond hair and tattooed eyebrows has an attitude problem, frequently rolls her eyes or laughs when there is an issue. I no longer go to this CVS even though it's down the block from my house, rather go to the one on the queens border across from Stop an Shop where they are much nicer and give excellent customer service. read more

This review is past due! I'm fairly new to yelp. This review was from a few years ago. As soon as I walked in I was immediately followed by a White woman. At first I'm thinking impossible she can't be following me. Then when I started to go to other rows she would be fixing stuff in the aisle I was in. Next, a Black man with a Black woman walk in and all of sudden it's all eyes on them. White woman starts to follow them now. I'm like yes she stopped following me and the next thing I hear is the Black man saying "what is your problem why are you following me and my wife". He basically told her what I should've told her and said every time they went to a different aisle she was behind him. As soon as I heard that I confronted her and said yes you followed me too. She looked at us and went to a room crying. The cashier who was Black did not even take our side and said see guys you made her cry and then she gave us stank attitude. dAFUQ? I have recently gone there and the woman with the red hair is a lovely person and so is the Black guy. read more
