This is my go-to pharmacy since I live in the area. The pharmacy is usually pretty quick- especially the drive-thru. Every now and then I go inside to get my prescriptions and there's a short line- so the drive-thru is optimal. The pharmacists are always nice and helpful and I never have any issues with getting what I need. It's a pretty standard pharmacy experience. read more

Waited in the drive up for the pharmacy after 2 cars ahead of me. It took a lot of patience! When I pulled up to the window, the pharmacy tech saw me there and did not stop her task of PUTTING LABELS ON A STACK OF FOLDERS!!!! WTF. She did this for several minutes. Mind you, I already waited in the line and she had the nerve to continue her medial task instead of choosing to help a customer. Pathetic. When she finally came to the window and addressed me, I told her that she chose well to always help customers over other jobs that she has to attend to. I pass this locale almost every day but stopped in for the first time yesterday. It's your basic new model CVS. The makeup selection was good; the snack selection was meh. So why 4 stars and why am I bothering to review a national chain. Pre-K this corner house a bank and a Popeye's (then a Quizno's). Both buildings stood mostly abandoned and often broken into, until they tore them down to make way for the CVS. While I do think it's silly that the CVS is across the street from the Walgreens, that's how this intersection has always been. The Walgreens was built across Napoleon from a K&B...later a CVS. That building was torn down to make way for the Touro Imaging Center...are you lost yet. Anyway, a building that is actually maintained and used is better than abandonment so 4 stars. read more

The self check out is really fast here. Also they have every product you're looking for usually. A few items might be absent but not many. Staff is typical at cvs but not terrible. This location is relatively clean and newer build so it's a nice perk for the area. It's good overall and I have come back many times. read more

I'd been having a really bad dry cough and itchy ears. After intense googling on remedies and what may be the cause I realized that I may have an ear infection and need to have the wax removed from my ears. Since this was a Saturday during Mardi Gras I needed very quick relief and my primary care physician was out of the question. I also searched nearby urgent care clinics, but Google led me to CVS Minute Clinic. The Minute Clinic is able to provide vaccinations including the flu shot, physicals, glucose testing, and a host of other services as well as write prescriptions. The Minute Clinic is a lifesaver! The Claiborne location is the only one available in New Orleans. There's one or 2 available in Metairie and a few offered on the NorthShore. I walked right in around 10 am on Sunday (though they open at 9am) and thought that I'd be seen right away. You go to the back of the store and there's an electronic kiosk that you check in on. Heads up: you can register online to make an appointment. Something I wish I knew before hand. There were 3 people ahead of me so I was looking at a 45 minute wait. The Minute Clinic accepts insurance, but it's best to check with your provider to see if the services you need are covered on your plan. I was seen within 45 minutes by the nurse practitioner, got my diagnoses, and they put in my prescription with the pharmacy and my meds were ready 10 minutes after I finished. Overall, very good experience and i am glad to know there's an alternative to urgent care within the city with extended hours and can easily get a prescription called in. read more

It's a CVS, you've been to one, not much to talk about that you don't already know, BUT in comparison to other locations, this CVS is five stars! Not sure if it's a new location, it looks it. Clean store, always stocked, large parking lot that's easy to enter/exit and friendly staff. I'm a fan. read more

I came to this CVS Pharmacy as a walk in patient at their Minute Clinic because of a build up of ear wax causing me some discomfort. I was afraid to use my tactics for removing the blockage because I felt as though I could possibly go too far and puncture an ear drum. Unfortunately, my auditory perception seemed as though I was at the bottom of a deep well, or in an echo chamber and I needed relief. Luckily, for me the Nurse Practitioner on duty was able to assure me that she would be able to correct my problem and best of all, the services were covered by my health insurance provider. My ailment was considered one of the many minor illnesses that are treated at this facility as well as minor injuries, screenings and monitoring, skin conditions, vaccinations and injections, and wellness and physicals. Once I paid my deductible, the Nurse Practitioner cleared my ear canal and advised me on the purchase of the proper devices I could use, as opposed to those dangerous, Stone Age methods I had been using. read more

Possibly the first time I wish I could award a place negative stars. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used in my whole life. I am on hold (for 20 minutes now) as I type this. They've also hung up on me twice. I had to switch to these horrible people after Rite Aid stopped taking my insurance (negative stars for Humana too), and it has been a nightmare ever since. They are rude, it took them 3 days to allegedly call Rite Aid to transfer my prescriptions, then they lied and told me I had no refills left (confirmed with Rite Aid that I did and they also never received a transfer request). At this point, I have called all my doctors and asked them to call in new scrips to CVS, and now I can't get them to tell me if this happened or not. Every time I've walked into this location, the pharmacy staff has been actively engaged in an argument with a customer, so I know it's not just me. Go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE. Make your own medicine out of roots and leaves. Just don't go to this piece of garbage CVS. I've now been on hold for 30 minutes. There is no end in sight. I'm going to go buy Metformin on the black market now, bye. read more

This is the typical CVS that has those little convince things you may suddenly need like dish soap but the prices reflect the convince. Overall this is not a bad store, they always greet you when you walk in 'welcome to CVS' but I think this is a company policy not something that is store specific. Something I like about this place (and CVS in general) is the coupons they give you on your receipts and how you can earn points for purchases over time that can be converted in to 'cash' by reducing your total when you decide to use your points. One final note is that if you come in the morning right after they open there will be carts and boxes covered in cling wrap full of merchandise everywhere, some stacked almost to the ceiling. I don't know if I'm just lucky and have gone there early several times on whatever day they get their deliveries but it seems like they could be a little more organized. I've seen boxes and random trash everywhere etc. I know they have to do what they have to do and that the merchandise does not just magically replenish itself but to me how they go about making that happen just seems messy and lazy. That being said, because I live close and there will always be times when I need something random on the quick and don't want to venture to the 9th circle of Wal-Mart hell, I will be back with out a doubt. read more

I wish there was a negative star option. I cannot even explain the awful customer service I just experienced at the pharmacy. I had a COVID-19 test appointment for 1:10 pm scheduled. I got in the drive through line at 12:30 pm and was patiently waiting to pull up next to the window to get the test. When I finally go to the window at 1:50 pm, the woman working the drive through told me that I could not receive my test until 3:00 pm because the nurse went on break. Honestly, I was taken aback, since I just watched the woman in the car in front of me receive a COVID test. I know that everyone needs a lunch break, trust me, however I was so upset and shook by their lack of communication. Then when I tried to explain to the lady that I really need the test today to travel she was not budging. To say that this CVS will never receive my business again is an understatement. I will make sure to tell everyone I know never to go to that pharmacy due to their horrific customer service and communication with anticipating customers. read more
