The CVS on Orangeburg Rd is the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever been to. They changed my prescription without my Doctor's approval and didn't even mention it to me! I noticed when I was home and read the label. The quantity and dosage was correct but they changed the amount per day from 4x to 2x. Needless to say, I didn't have enough medication and ran out early since they cut it in half! We will never use this pharmacy again and will go elsewhere next time. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy, will change asap. Tried twice to pickup much needed heart medications, on Sunday at 2:30 and on the 31st at 12:30. Both times pharmacy was closed. I called and a woman denied they were closed even though i stood in front of a closed, metal gated pharmacy window. Insane. read more

pharmacists are useless here and speak to you like you're garbage. The pharmacist "Wanhee" picked up the phone saying " what" then when i mentioned the miscommunication between the pharmacy and my provider she said you're not going to blame me then rudely hung up on me... Pharmacists are unable to ever get in contact with providers here and ive been using this pharmacy for 13 years and it seems like everytime i come i see people having issues picking up their medications and the pharmacists working have an awful attitude and poor customer service... forcing people to go out of their way and find another pharmacy. Been using the Cvs in northvale and in comparison it's very pleasant and staff are great with communicating and resolving any issue with Delays, pickups. Very sad to see this pharmacy turn to shambles. read more

Again my mistake figured I would give this another chance long wait and they did not have my medicine again. This is the worst place to go. I will never again go to this place. I showed up before 9 am and the two women who worked there showed up at 9 to open the pharmacy and to be honest it's annoying. Drive tru long wait and in person they are not ready . This pharmacy has been going down hill for a while now. They SUCK (can I write that?) beyond belief. They did not have my medication in stock and told me that MAYBE they will have it tomorrow. So my doctor called in a different prescription. I went back to CVS and was told that it will not be ready until tomorrow because there was 200 people ahead of me. I brought it to her (the pharmacist) attention that there were only three people at the counter and that the 200 people were not there to pick up their prescription and that I was there now. She suggested I go to a different pharmacy. Completely clueless as to how to speak to people. A simple thing like getting a prescription filled and they care more about procedures than they do helping people get their medication. No humanity whatsoever. I called the other pharmacy and they told me they will fill it right away. I guess they don't have 200 people ahead of me. Time to find a different pharmacy. Thanks for reading. read more

I have always been a CVS customer. From Long Island to New Hampshire to Connecticut to New York City, the service and appearance have been comfortingly consistent. Then I moved to Orangeburg, and I found a CVS that is as alien to the chain as Mork was to Mindy. The store is disheveled, dirty and disorganized. The stock is either low or damaged. The service is abominable and no matter when you arrive, there is a line of at least 5 and sometimes 15 at the front counter. It is, in my opinion, the most poorly run CVS I have ever patronized. The managers are rude and mostly uncaring as they stand behind the photo counter and chat while the line keeps growing and growing. I often have had to go over to them and insist they open up a new line. I see elderly people sometimes waiting on line for over 15 minutes! It is appalling. The ONE BRIGHT SPOT in the place is the pharmacy. The staff there is so pleasant and helpful. They go the extra mile. They open up a new line as soon as they see more than two or three people. And this is a very hectic department! Kudos to them and I always fill my prescriptions there...but I used the drive up so I don't have to enter that misguided and mismanaged store. I recommend you pass on the store and just head to the drive up. It will keep your spirits up as you recover from whatever ails you. Be well. read more

The pharmacy staff who I spoke with was very abrupt and completely annoyed that I had questions about my mother's prescription and if it was approved by her insurance. It was like pulling teeth and as if she was doing me a favor to answer any questions I had. This is no way to run a pharmacy. Very disappointed we have been using this pharmacy for years and have never recieved such disrespectful treatment. Very bad for business. Shame on her. read more

CVS refuses to answer the phone. They really shouldn't be our local pharmacy if they refuse to communicate in any way with the local community. I wish we would replace them with a neighborhood pharmacy that is staffed appropriately to respond to questions about my child's prescriptions when he is sick. read more

I'm adjusting for the one star reviews. The people who work in this pharmacy are dedicated and helpful. They are sometimes overwhelmed and probably could use more staffing. But that's something wrong with CVS corporate. I've had a number of interactions with the people working in the pharmacy and I hope they know their dedication is appreciated. This is the WORST CVS by far!!! Snotty and not the brightest Pharmacists. If 2 medications are prescribed together and shouldn't be taken together at the same time, then common sense is 1 or the other should be given at that time. The absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They continue to take orders knowing full well that they cannot fill them. The attitude on the people is absolutely unbelievable. They could not possibly care less about you or your loved one's desperate need for certain medicines. They complain that they are swamped with over 500 unfilled scripts, yet continue to take orders. I went there twice in a three day period to check for my daughter's steroids that she so desperately needed. When confronted with logical questions they said "Why don't you just go somewhere else.?" Really?? If everyone went somewhere else you'd all be out of a job! What gaul. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my entire life. Oh and hope that you don't have questions about your medications or side effects because they DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE! EVER! Horrible, horrible place And this is our town pharmacy. I wish there was an option for zero stars. What my husband just experienced at the pharmacy left me flabbergasted and I had to return there myself to solve the issue. When my husband approached the counter to get his medication around 7:35 he was asked how much he needed the medication and if he would die if he didn't have it. Mind you, my husband has a huge gash/ open wound on his hand from a work incident. With an open wound, he did very much need his antibiotic. Unaware of what exactly the medication was, my husband told the pharmacy staff he wasn't sure what the medication was and how urgent it was because he wasn't a doctor but knew that he needed it. This young woman then went back to the middle aged woman pharmacist And told her that he didn't know how much he needed the medication and they began to laugh at him. The pharmacist walked over to the counter and told my husband if he could come back tomorrow to get his medication. My husband told me that it seemed as if they were talking down to him and if the medication was not ready. When he told me this I was outraged. I came from the medical field and I'm from a family full of healthcare professionals and this is NO okay. When I drove there myself, I approached the woman pharmacist about the situation and she first denied what she said. The young woman came out of no where and began to give me an attitude and yell at me. The woman pharmacist hushed her and was trying to tell her to go away because her behavior was UNRULY. My husband was standing right there and reiterated exactly what they told him. The head pharmacist was a male and he was standing in the back telling the young woman to stop talking because she started to yell at me. She is extremely unprofessional. The woman pharmacist then agreed to fill my husband's medication. After we received the medication we started walking away, and I needed something from an aisle nearby and I overheard the young woman and the woman pharmacist talking about my husband and I and the situation that occurred. I then went back and told them that what they were talking about was very unprofessional. The young woman began to yell at me and the woman pharmacist apologized for talking about us. That young woman should be FIRED and the pharmacist will be reported. I will be reporting them both, I am disgusted with their behavior and I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. I highly recommend going to another CVS. read more

This location probably has the worst pharmacy staff around. How do you take it upon yourself to cancel prescriptions without notifying customers just because insurance doesn't cover them? Do you not ask the customer if they would like to pay out-of-pocket before removing the prescriptions? Someone needs to supervise this department. This is not a complaint about the staff, which I have no problem with, in fact the pharmacy staff has been helpful and friendly. Yesterday I purchased a package of 3 Ferrero Rocher Hazelnut Chocolates for $2.49 yikes! But I was in one of my "got to have it now" moods, which is one way CVS gets you. Came to pick up an Rx not candy. Today I found same chocolates at Metfersh, Central Nyack for $1.50! And at Target for $1.32. .99 cent difference between CVS and Metfresh, really CVS? Not too long ago same problem with sun block. Explanation from store manager at the time was that store is located in an upscale affluent community, therefore higher prices. Both times I've come here, I have dropped off a prescription I was transferring from another pharmacy, and I've been told "it'll be ready at such-and-such time on such-and-such day." Fine, didn't need the refills yet. But when I returned to get them, I was told (each time) that they had to call the other pharmacy. So I waited. Each time I was almost late for my class (I'm a professor) because I had to wait for them to call/fill the prescription. What is the point of a drop-off if they forget about it until I return? And I could understand this happening once...but twice? I won't be returning. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy ever! I had to wait a week and a half to get a prescription filled; and on top of that they told my father and I that we had to call the doctor and insurance company to confirm it. Thank god I was not very ill or had a serious condition or I'd probably be dead by now. The part that pisses me off the most is that they said to me I have to call and to their job. I've never had a problem with any other CVS's just this one. I suggest the CVS in Northvale NJ or Pearl River NY. read more
