Stay as far away from this place as possible. Not just this location, but Walgreens Pharmacy in general. This location is particularly bad. They are completely inept at filling prescriptions in a timely manner. They don't have enough staff and most of the people they have don't know what they're doing. It takes forever to get anyone on the phone. If you sign up for notifications, the information they send via email is inconsistant with the texts they send, and their notifications don't match the information on the Walgreens app. Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. read more

The worst, most incompetent pharmacy I've ever seen. Walked in for a flu shot at 2pm, right when the staff of five came back from lunch. I was the only customer there initially for about 15 minutes. Then I continued to wait. I waited 45 minutes - they had told me several times along the way 'it'll just be another minute'. Eventually had to leave because like most other adults, I have a job! I come here solely for same day photo printing and it is NEVER a smooth process. Ordering online is pointless as they either never check the system to print your order OR they email you it's ready when it isn't. A good amount of time the machine is broken. Occasionally they will offer an empty apology but it's meaningless as it's been years and they never change. The clientele here typically leads a lot to be desired. When you are stuck waiting 15+ minutes for photos that you received notice were ready hours ago, you are often stuck listening to yelling and cursing from unseemly individuals or groups. Save your frustration and avoid this location. You are much better off going to CVS or Rite Aid on 303. read more

Updated 9/2 - again this pharmacy wasted my time. Six months ago I moved my prescriptions to this Walgreens from Tappan Walgreens due to its proximity. Now I am told that my prescriptions were never moved. And for the 9th!!!!!!!!!!!!!! time none of my prescriptions are ready. How can a pharmacy operate like this? It's a joke. I called yesterday and the pharmacist said that my doctor had not refilled any of my daily prescriptions in fact, he told me that my doctor had stopped filling them all together. I said that that's impossible. I've been on these medications for years and there's no way that my doctor would stop them cold to which the pharmacist argued with me and told me they had been. I then pulled up my prescriptions after the phone call and all of them were still at the tappan in Walgreens ready to be filled - despite six months of asking them to not only transfer the prescriptions, but have them automatically filled each month. This is a disgusting waste of my time and I'm sure other consumers time and I will continue to warn other consumers until they get this right. Or maybe at least one time they get it right. I will update this again tomorrow. . And will continue w this review until thus Walgreens stops wasting my time. read more

I'm giving this place three stars for convenience. They are down the street from my house and have been a life saver when I have run out of milk or some such thing. Or it's late, someone is sick, and you need to grab something over the counter really fast. Well, fast is a relative term since there is almost always long line. Regular Walgreens, excellent customer service. The staff here were super friendly and accepting of me and my friends shenanigans including multiple trips and losing a few sets of items! To respond to another reviewer--yes, you can go here and get diapers and beer and nail polish, but first and foremost, Walgreens is a pharmacy, and that is the reason that they are in business even when they are near supermarkets (where you can also get diapers and beer and nail polish). I have been to MANY pharmacies, as I take a number of medications, and 90% of the time when I go to this location, I say to myself, "NEVER AGAIN." The only reason I continue to go to this location is because it is literally two blocks from my house. Here are the reasons why I think this place is horrid, and is far worse than the Drug World it replaced (which was also annoying): 1. Every time I get a prescription here at the drive through, I wait to drop it off and then wait again to pick it up. There is almost always a line, and if there is no line, no one comes to the window for a while. 2. After dropping off a prescription, the wait time is usually an hour or more (most places are around 20-30 minutes) 3. When I come to pick up my prescription, most of the time it isn't ready, even after I have already given them the amount of time they requested, if not more. Today, they gave me an hour, I went back TWO hours later and I still had to wait because it wasn't ready. 4. There is usually a problem with my prescriptions and I don't know about it until I go to pick it up. 5. When I called today no one picked up, even though all I wanted to do was refill a prescription. Usually, this is automated. The phone just RANG and RANG until I finally gave up. 6. There is ALWAYS a line. And the line is SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW, whether you are at the pharmacy or the regular retail line. The retail line is admittedly better because at least there is the staff to pick up the slack, unlike the pharmacy. 7. There are blinking lights in the place--near the skin care--that will someday give someone a seizure and I cannot figure out why they are there. 8. The pharmacists always seem confused or overwhelmed--they likely need more on-staff and they probably need to pay them better, because this is ridiculous. I don't enjoy giving bad reviews. But I cannot stand when a corporate giant comes in, puts a few small businesses out of business, and then proceeds to suck. I will probably go downtown to Koglin's (if misspelled I apologize) just to give the finger to this stupid place and its corporate BS. They need to get a sense of the actual people that come in to the place--and NO, telling people to "be well" every time a transaction is completed is not doing the trick. read more

Brand spanking new Walgreens with plenty of parking. Staff was clearly new and still getting things organized so everything was a bit disjointed. But it's a good place to stop for drinks and the like before hopping on the highway. read more

Very happy to have this place around. Much easier and closer to visit than having to go to a grocery store. However, there is NEVER, EVER adequate staffing on the cash registers. Always a slow moving line. To be fair, I have noticed this is a trend in almost all retail spaces these days. This store pharmacy is horrible. They had a prescription of mine for a week and didn't call to tell me I needed prior authorization until I showed up to see why I was not notified it was refilled. I tried to call prior to entering the store but the pharmacy phone line hung up on me saying it had technical issues. I had to pay out of pocket for my prescription (reluctantly, because it's a Saturday and my doctor is out of office until Monday). I ended up having to wait 30 minutes at the location to get my prescription filled. The pharmist was so stubborn and didn't even try to get it done quickly. I really don't understand, it's 10 pills in a bottle. This is a horribly managed pharmacy. Do yourself a favor and go to the rite aid in valley cottage. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. I called in to get a medication, told them the name and dose they gave me entirely different medication with another dosage. When I tried to return they wouldn't accept it. The manager was useless. This is not the first time they've messed up. read more

Im just Shocked after experiencing appauling behavior from a manager working for a major corporation. The manager on duty on Christmas 2017 was the laziest, rudest person i have EVER encountered in (an already expensive) Walgreens, period! I was told i "COULDN'T" have multiple gift reciepts, because that would mean separate transactions. The also dont accomodate gift reciepts. The regular reciepts would have been fine, however; I was so was disgusted with his passive aggressive behavior, then complete disrespect towards me that i just kept my $86. Worst pharmacy ever. I've had good experiences with other Walgreens in the past but this one seems grossly mismanaged. I have filled 4 prescriptions here since they opened and have had increasing difficulties each time. Staff reports that prescription will be ready in and hour and then 2 days later haven't filled it citing computer problems. Today, after holding twice for more than 10 minutes each to ultimately be disconnected, I decided to go down in person and see if my prescriptions ready yet. Staff behind the pharmacy counter is wearing ill-fitting Walgreens t-shirts reminiscint of the tuxedo t-shirt. Kind of trying to say their professional when clearly they're not. Lastly, privacy is out he window. Standing in line I am listening to each customer say where they live to "verify their address" for the pharmacy tech in the t-shirt. He then responds with the name of the medication which pretty much tells me what that person's medical condition is. I'll drive 10 more minutes out of my way to go CVS or Clarkstown Pharmacy from now on. read more

The Pharmacy is HORRIBLE!!! They bought all the local pharmacy's that gave great service and monopolized the industry in my area giving me no choice than to go to them. Then they provide horrible service. I'm Trapped dealing with these horrible incompetent people and horrible computer system! Every time I have a prescription filled there is always some issue where I have to go back or wait for it to be filled. They send texts saying that it's ready and even if you call and speak to a person they say it's ready and then when you get there it's not ready. There's always some excuse! Either they needed a doctor to double authorize (which they could have told me over the phone before I drove down there to wait in line as they deal with other people and their issues), or they say that they put it back on the shelf because they thought you were not coming. It was not even 24 hours yet and they put my meds back on the shelf. Geeeze, give me a chance to come pick it up. It's not only me... When on the line, there was an issue with every single person on the line that prevented them from getting their prescription right away. read more

Send in a bunch of pictures via internet to be printed by Walgreens Photo service. I received an email saying they were ready and when I went to pick them up, they were not. That was not the problem. Unfortunately, mid-way of the printing, the machine stopped and not all the pictures were printed. I had already paid for the pictures (I will never do the again) and was advised to come back another time. That same night, I got a call from Walgreens saying I had to resend all the pictures I had originally downloaded. What! There were a lot of pictures and I already deleted my downloads. I went back to Walgreens today and asked to speak to the manager - they must be hard up for staff. She suggested I take what had already been printed and to make matters worse I had been charged for 74 pictures when I only had 37. She did not seem to want to refund my money which she finally did and when I made the comment, that a sorry could have been offered, she very haughtily responded, "you did not give me the chance". The whole time she was examining my receipt and then processing the refund was plenty of time. LOUSY customer service and a rather dismissive manager. She needs a refresher course in Customer Service. read more

Last week Walgreen's was offering a free 8 x 10 print for Mother's Day. I submitted an image with a black ring around it. The person who did this "job" cropped it in removing the black ring and making it very different from the image that was submitted. Wasted my husband's time to pick this up. The print is going in the trash. I could do better on my color printer. read more

Absolutely the worst Walgreen's I've been to. The cashiers are mean and unfriendly. I bought two gift cards in this place and they never work. The first card I bought was an App Store gift card and when I tried it in the app store it didn't work. I contacted Apple and they sent me an email specifically telling me that the card was never activated. I went to this store and talk to the manager and everything he said was that he couldn't do anything and he didn't know what else to do. I got really mad that even with the email I got from Apple they did not refund me. Avoid this store because if you buy a gift card and it doesn't work then forget about getting a refund from the store. Had a problem picking up my photo Christmas cards that I ordered on-line. I got an email stating my cards were ready to be pick-up. Got to the store and the employee could not find my order on her store computer. Even though I showed her my printed out email. She did find an empty box with my order info on it but no cards in the box. She told me that I would have to wait at least 30 mins. till the printer reboot and cleaned itself. My cards were supposed to be ready the day before I came to the store. I emailed and called Walgreens Customer Service and got the big run-around, so here I am at Yelp. Drove throught a snow storm to get there. The empty shelves should have been a sign, we ignored it and decided to shop anyway. Get to the counter where a young man was sitting down, as i place the items on the counter my wife puts down some chips. He asks for Id which is fine, but then he asks for my wifes' id which was at the hotel. We tell him that it is at the hotel, he says it is company policy! I said that i have been to may walgreens before and that they only ask for one id when buying beer. He insists that it is store policy. Well that its a ridiculous store policy if you ask me, so let me get this straight: if i am with my daughter or nephew, i cant buy beer?? What kind of stupidity is this?? Keep in mind i am 34 years old and my wife is pregnant and 38!! So she wouldn't be drinking anyway. Ridiculous policy by walgreens. Their pharmacy is a rip off. Some of the pharmacists flat out lie to you if it means selling you something they're being pushed to sell (esp. with generic medications). As for the rip off, here is an example. I am prescribed xzyal (allergy med), and usually get the generic. My new health insurance refuses to cover it (or anything else, but that's a different rant), so I asked them how much 1 month of 5mg of the generic would cost. They tell me $76.35. I call a small, local pharmacy with the same question, and they tell me $10. $10 out of pocket. That is a $66.35 profit for Walgreens Pharmacy!! Honestly, if it weren't medication I might not be so annoyed. How can they justify essentially STEALING from broke people who need medicine. They disgust me. I'm never going back again. I'm transferring all my rx's out of there. This was the last straw with them either screwing up my rx or blatantly ripping me off while giving me a nasty attitude. Save yourself the money AND the grief, and go to a local (small business) pharmacy. It will help your community more anyway. read more

I move pretty frequently and I have to say this location's pharmacy is by far the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. Phones are NEVER answered. Systems are ALWAYS down. Staff is unfriendly, uneducated and unprofessional. Filled my prescription there 3 times to have them tell me upon the arrival to pick up of my 4th that not only is my refill not ready due to something I did incorrectly through calling, but that they wouldn't have it until Monday and they don't carry that type of birth control, ever. Not to mention she just off handedly asked if I wanted a different type of birth control instead. How negligent can they be? It gets better; upon them telling me they have never carried it, nor have I ever filled it there (I quickly corrected her by stating that I could provide my old prescription refill with the information stating I have it filled there), she tells me she located it at a different walgreens in spring valley and to go there, it will be ready. I wasn't born yesterday, so I go to my car and call that pharmacy to find out she didn't call nor do they carry it either. The difference between the Nyack Walgreens Pharmacy and the Spring Valley Walgreens Pharmacy, is the man I spoke to in Spring Valley took the time to educate me on why the pharmacy didn't carry it and how there is another birth control which is the same, just with a different name and won't effect my hormones. For a company that prides itself on the care it provides to its customers, this location needs a severe make over, STAT. read more
