I explained in a review of Walgreens that I left CVS because of their prices. Unfortunately I still have on prescription that has not been moved and is still at CVS. I just went to pick it up and there were 4 cars at the drive through so I went in. I got inside and there we're 4 people in line. I waited, and waited, and waited and waited as each person ran into issue the clerk could not help help them with. This held up the line longer and longer. Another clerk came and said she would help who was next. She helped one person and then disappears even tho the line was now about 8 people long. It was finally my turn. The clerk took my name and birthday then proceeded to press buttons on the touch screen for easily over a minute. What is going on??? If they need more help they gotta pay up and get some more staff because this is insane. read more

They need more staff. I applied and got denied. They know they need more staff. Theres literally always ONE register open every single time i go, and i live about 800ft away from here. If the persons not at the register, you got self check out. Which id slso a dud because they don't do cash so your basically forced to wait there if you have cash on you. Don't bring film here to be processed. They send it out. The negatives are destroyed and not returned, and the photos are on crappy computer paper using a low quality printer that can't even keep he cyan, magenta and yellow color separations aligned. Unlike the many other businesses I visited while in RI this place has the worst customer service. Being from Boston I was always astonished and even look forward to the kindness of the people in RI. However, this place is the exception. Pharmacy is understaffed, under trained and it's never a smooth experience when dealing with them. I was hung up on multiples times, yelled at and even insulted (my intelligence) by the pharmacy staff. I left a message for a manager, never received a callback. Called to speak to a manager and then only after telling my whole grievance I was informed that I need to call back to speak to the store manager, who will then speak to the pharmacy manager who will then speak to the pharmacist. The hell? "So you're not a manager?" "Yes I'm a manager but you need to call back tomorrow for the store manager." I just hung up, articulate yourself better honey. What are you....the Message Taker manager? At least get my information and offer to leave a note for the floor manager and recommend me to callback as well. I swear, do they not train people on customer service and communication anymore? This store needs a complete overhaul. Long lines, constantly needing to replenish stock, bad customer service... only upside about this location is that it's open 24 hours. read more

I love this CVS. There's another one on Newman ave that's closer to where I live but I drive the few extra minutes to come to this one. The staff is so nice and helpful, I stopped going to the other one because the staff was rude and acted like you were bothering them. Nice store, plenty of stuff inside, but quite a bit more expensive than others. I do like CVS, just wish they could bring their prices down a bit. Not sure if I prefer them or Walgreens, but I had Walgreens in more places when I lived in Tampa. If you get the CVS card, you can save quite a bit more, than if you don't have it, that's what will bring down the price quite a bit. read more

If I could give it less than one star I would. I only went there due to the fact that my regular pharmacy didn't carry the medication I needed after surgery. I went to fill my second prescription and I got an alert from my insurance that something was filled so I checked it. They processed they wrong medication, so I decided to call them to let them know so I'm not given the wrong medicine. The Pharmacist was completely rude about it. Excuse me but I'm a paying customer and I'm not paying for the wrong medication because of your error. No apology. Then I get a phone call ten minutes later stating they have to order my medication and it will be in two days later. Will never give them my money again. read more

I wish I could give them a negative star I normally go to Walgreens with the pharmacy staff are wonderful. I went here because they had run out of a prescription I needed which was a controlled substance. I called to make sure they had it when they told me yes I had my doctor call the prescription into them. When I called to check to see if the prescription was filled they told me that they had an app and I should get it I install the app on my phone and then I got a text message telling me the prescription was filled. When I went there the woman at the registercalled over a . person who looked at the screen and said they did not have a prescription for me. I called my doctor who said they did send it there. I went back and told them. The pharmacy staff person was rude and told me they are not the only CVS on the planet but they have no prescriptions for me I step to the side and called my doctor my doctor told me the address I asked the woman is this your address she said yes and I said well then why are you saying you didn't get it when the doctor says they absolutely sent it here. Then she said we can't give you a prescription without talking to your doctor for us I said a minute ago you told me you didn't have a prescription do you have a prescription or do you not have a prescription and she told me they cannot give me a prescription without speaking to the doctor first. I looked at the text from the app and I had a phone number I pressed it it called the pharmacy and the person who answered said I had a prescription and it was filled right while I was standing there I told this to the woman and she said we can't give you any prescriptions till we speak to your doctor I said you just lied and told me you did not have a prescription do you have a prescription or not my doctors office called them and they must've spoke to that same woman because they told me that that woman was extremely rude and belittling to them when I went back inside I asked the woman if she had spoken to my doctor and she just walked away and would not speak with me. Why they would lie is beyond me while standing in line another customer told me that their sister was dying of cancer had similar experiences at that's pharmacy. Don't go here Walgreens is a much better pharmacy and the prices are much much cheaper. When I went home I was speaking to my neighbors and two of my neighbors told me they had similar experiences where the people were extremely rude to them when they ask questions. And he is the best part three days later someone from CVS headquarters called me and asked me if I would like to have all my prescriptions transferred for them because they could see I was a new customer I laughed and said I would never go there if they were giving stuff away for free the person from headquarters told me that they had had similar conversations with other people that they were trying to get to switch different prescriptions over to CVS. Why someone from corporate doesn't go to the store and straighten them out is beyond me. I believe they must've got in trouble at one point and now they think they are doctors and not pharmacist. My doctors office told me they never answered that many questions for one prescription with any pharmacy in their life. First of all I hate cvs.....PERIOD... way overpriced!!! Every time I go to this location I either get attitude from the pharmacy staff or if I go in the morning before work (since it is the only 24 hr store to where I live) they either ignore me if I am at the counter waiting to pick up or they are so understaffed it's ridiculous! Then again that's how Cvs is at the corporate level and retail level. Today I waited to pick up my prescription for 10 minutes in the guy decided to take drive-through first. I am now about 10 minutes late for my job due to that. Once again I am going to go to wall greens next time. No more Cvs for me. I haves used this Pharmacy for years but am leaving. The staff are always pleasant and professional but they are clearly short staffed. If your lucky enough to get through on the phone you sit on hold for 10-15 min. Going to pick up I'm store, plan on a good 20min. It's gotten much worse since they got all the Howell Smith customers. read more

I was unaware of insurance coverage and when I called to have my prescriptions rerun the staff did it easily. I was able to return the next day for a refund. Very simple, always pleasant staff at the front and in the pharmacy. Coupon machine is always working. read more

This store is so horrible, apparently you have to be on some sort of a priority list to get your medicine in a TIMELY mannor. When I approached the pharmacy manager she was very hostile and accused me of lying and making up this story and talked down to me like a child. What kind of customer service is this????? I will never go to this store again, obviously I am no priority of their interest as a customer at all, which is total bogus customer service. I have never been treated so horrible at a store before and I will continue to tell everyone about this as I am so devastated all I wanted was a prescription filled and what I got was a ruthless Woman with no customer service tactics whatsoever. I can't believe the poor ratings for this store. It is my absolute favorite CVS. All the staff from the cashier to the pharmacy seem to genuinely enjoy their job. Such great customer service!! And the pharmacy even texts you when your prescription is ready for pick up. The cashiers are always so chatty and friendly. My son loves getting a toy car every time we go in and they always have an abundance of Ben N Jerrys flavors!! Also gotta love the extra bucks! Their bathroom has always been in decent shape whenever I use it too which I super appreciate since we often walk there! Thanks CVS!!! read more

If I could give negative I would. The people working the pharmacy are beyond rude. They make you feel like your doing something wrong dropping scripts off. Then when they don't have the medication in they don't call you and tell you they wait till you try and pick up. If it wasn't for me living 2 mins away Id be going somewhere else. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to, whether they will fill something or not is dependant on which person is in at that time and the majority of the pharmacists are Nazis who won't let you refill usually until exact times that they arbitrarily decide or not until at a maximum a day early when every other pharmacy including other cvs' I've been to fill 2-3 days early because they understand people don't always have cars exactly on the days they need to pick up meds. Even my doctor couldn't believe the gymnastics they put us through when he called after two days of them saying we could fill a script and even their website saying it would be ready in the morning on the third day apparently the jerk pharmacists were in and rejecting it. Now I have to go 4 days on a more dangerous, more confusing medicine just to get by until I can get a refill so needless to say I am not coming back to this place and neither should you. You will have a problem almost every time you go here guaranteed. Oh and they once told me when I accidentally left my ID that they kept it in a safe and it was waiting for me, when I showed up THAT DAY it was "missing" so I had to get a whole new damn ID, screw these incompetent people. read more
