Omg, what fresh hell is this?! This pharmacy has new computerized kiosks where you need to enter your name and info in order to get your prescription. Sound easy? Joke's on you- they do not work. It's just patron after patron stuck trying to figure out this unnecessarily complicated interface while the person behind the counter who normally would just verbally take your order and hand you your meds, stands there helplessly 2 feet away trying to help you through this new nightmare experience you are both in. I can only assume the head of CVS's IT department is in some elaborate fight to sabotage the head of Pharmacy and the rest of us are just collateral damage. For a company closing a ton of stores to "optimize their retail footprint", this is not the answer. I have thus far tried twice to pick up my prescription and been thwarted both times by a short line that does not move because no one can figure out this dumb kiosk. And I don't think the pharmacists can bypass it? Whose idea was this?! Did no one test this thing before unleashing it on the masses? Feels like something designed by someone who has never been to a pharmacy before. Unfortunate. I now need to find a pharmacy without this horrible feature. Wish me luck... read more

I don't frequent this CVS primarily because I don't like the parking lot. It's hard to get in and out at times and you can't really pull through a spot unless you park a bit of a distance from the store. I do have to give a special shout out to this CVS though as being the only place I was able to find Easter candy the day before Easter. They had a nice selection of peanut butter eggs and Lindt chocolate bunnies. For that, three stars. read more

Bought a Binex Covid test from this store, went home to use it. There were no swabs to perform the test in the box. I returned to the for a refund or swap and was told nothing can be done about covid test and to contact the help line. I call the help line and got hung up on after being transferred. How is CVS not responsible as a business for the product they sell to their customers? read more

CVS BILLS INSURANCE BEFORE VACCINES ARE ADMINISTERED & ACCEPTS APPOINTMENTS FOR VACCINES THEY DO NOT HAVE My significant other made an appointment at the East Avenue, Pawtucket CVS for Covid and Flu vaccines. Two days before the appointment CVS cancelled because they did not have either of the vaccines. So I made an appointment at the Walgreens at the corner of Mineral Spring and Charles in North Providence. He is beginning treatment for cancer and we wanted to get these vaccines done before he takes that hit on his immune system. When we got to Walgreens they discovered that they were unable to give him the flu vaccine because CVS had already billed insurance for it and they will only pay for it once a year. They attempted to call CVS and have them cancel their billing but the phone system there would not allow them to speak to a person, only leave a message. So we had to leave without the flu vaccination and we don't know when or how we will be able to get it for him. It is wrong to accept appointments for vaccines CVS does not have, and very wrong to bill insurance for vaccines that have not been administered yet. What a nice way to treat people who are already dealing with health issues! read more

This is a fine store - but I prefer going down the street to the Hope Street branch. Parking here is a bit odd to me for some reason, maybe because of the orientation of the entrance and the rectangular feel of that corner. It's also sometimes hard to turn into the lot if traffic on East Ave is heavy. The store is generally clean and well-stocked. I do appreciate the Redbox outside too. I might come this way more often if we had a real coffee shop at this end of the street - not that I object to having the Modern Diner almost just across! read more

As my local CVS, I've spent my fair share of time here. It's a no frills CVS; more variety can be had at the not-to-far-away 24 hour CVS, but this one does the job. You can often find the store manager working the front line, and he is always friendly. The pharmacy department is wonderful! If you pick up prescriptions regularly, they will remember you, and always have a smile and happily answer any questions. Plus, there's plenty of parking and a Red Box out front. One caveat: if you can avoid going between 2 and 4 p.m. on school days, you won't have to deal with the high school students down the street hanging out after school! read more

Good service, friendly staff and line usually moves pretty quick. They don't have all the items that the other larger stores carry, but they have the necessesities. They also have RedBox outside which is nice, but for some reason it usually doesn't connect with the RedBox iPhone app, so you can't order ahead. My biggest complaint is that this CVS ALWAYS has people outside who ask you for money. They need to hire a security detail or something for a couple weeks to stop this. I'd like to be able to stop in for a few items and not get bothered on my way out. I don't mean to be mean here, but I work two jobs to support myself so it's very frustrating getting asked for my hard earned money EVERY time I shop here. read more

It's rare that a CVS warrants a 5 star Yelp review, but this location on East Ave does. Every time I go, the cashiers are as friendly as can be. I feel like in so many other CVS locations the people who work there seem to hate their job. These people deal with the same kinds of customers and problems, but always do it in a positive way with a smile no matter what. It really is a refreshing change of pace, and I always walk out of here happy. read more
