I have always found the CVS staff and pharmacy to be courteous, helpful and informative and have been going there for decades!

ALL CVS STAFF at this location on shooting park Peru illinois have nasty attitudes- they speak disgustingly obscene things about customers to their faces and smirk and roll their eyes. HIPPAA violations abound as they laugh and talk in front of all CVS customers re: their private medical conditions and prescriptions. "Kaitlyn" was overheard along with the purple hair pharm tech they call "KAT" laughing with their new tech (a blonde) about the medical condition of two elderly veterans. They will claim these are lies by dissatisfied cus and that they love vets and how all CVS customers are important but they only care about volume! Don't ask too many questions as it creates irritability and confusion and conflicts with the pharmacy culture of speed and subpar quality interactions with the patrons who contribute to the biweekly paychecks each of the employees at all CVS locations receives. Walmart and Walgreens are certainly alternatives to the Shooting Park, Peru, IL CVS store. How sad that their employees are also members of the same community. I like how fast they fill the prescriptions . I always get 40% off on stuff. Plus they take the time out to tell when when I do for a shingles or flu shot. Walmart and Walgreens NEVER did that. But what's the deal with ....you don't sell cigarettes but you sell alcohol???? read more

Pharmacy tech Kaitlyn(sp?) was beyond rude, rolling her eyes and slamming window in my face. I've had issues before at the Peru CVS on Shooting Park Rd. But also understand that they are busy so I've let it slide. This was another level and I cannot let this one slide and have contact the manager and will be contacting corporate. I will be transferring my prescriptions after using them for years. I'm also a nurse and will no longer recommend this pharmacy. read more

I tried to use CVS because work was pushing us to them as primary pharmacy. Went into Peru store to set up account. Pharmacy techs and pharmacist are EXACTLY what others have said; rude, uncaring and unprofessional. WE pushed to keep our current pharmacy Krogers, Streator, because Krogers techs and pharmacist provides customer service and actually works & helps. I get how demanding pharmacy techs/pharmacist have in idealing with insurance and gov red tape. But that does excuse NOT POOR customer service & treating new customers without care and respect. read more

My review is for the cvs on shooting park road in Peru. My wife has recently had to switch to cvs pharmacy due to an insurance issue. That being said, she often wishes to forgo taking her prescription. Not because she doesn't want to get better, but because she loathes the idea of returning to their pharmacy for a refill! Every time she talks to them they are nothing but rude, disrespectful dick bags to her. They have zero professionalism when they talk to her and quite often make her feel like a lesser human being. If they weren't garbage pharmacy technicians, maybe they would have better reviews. Go anywhere other that the shooting park road cvs. Horrible creatures, horrible customer service read more

I've been going to this CVS for a while now, and have had nothing but trouble. It's not the front of the store, it's the pharmacy. There is one lady there who is very rude and acted as if I was stupid. I forgot about a screw up with my insurance and went to pick up a prescription and couldn't. That was my bad. Came back with proof of insurance/coverage and when I tried to explain it to her, she was motioning with her hands to, "hurry up". All got straightened out but had to wait a few days. Waited a week, just to make sure and was told there was no prescription for me. Told them there was and they finally looked again. They had it, but it was out of stock. Waited another few days, got it. Now, here I am trying to refill and pick up the same medication a month later. Got the confirmation and went to pick it up. "Sorry, but it's not showing that we have anything for you." They looked, found it but couldn't give it to me because insurance said it was too early to fill. OKAY. why didn't they tell me this before I came. So here I am, waiting another few days. Today I call just to make sure and they again, say I have nothing to pick up. Had them check, "Sorry about that, we have it, but can't give it to you.." I won't go into detail about what happened after.. but I would never tell someone to go to this CVS. read more

Horribly, horribly, rude, awful pharmacists! Avoid this place and go anywhere but this cvs in Peru, il. They were, once upon a time, very helpful, but recently become nasty mean. I suggest a boycott but like as though they're going out of business anyway - I wonder why?! Avoid this place - especially if slim grey-haired guy is working - never treated as badly!! read more

I've always had very positive and helpful experiences here. I switched to CVS because they don't sell cigarettes and I wanted to support that responsible decision. Whenever I've run into issues with prescriptions, the employees here have always been able to figure out and follow through on the problem to reach a positive outcome for me. read more

Friendly employees, and I have never seen such super fast service! A huge relief after dealing with the incompetents at Walgreen's!!
